The guild group waited at the portal for another three hours, until they were released. When Ryan came out of the portal, accompanied by Rudy, the entire area outside the portal had changed. There were several trucks and guild agents, all mobilizing around that incident.
The guild had built a small metal road leading to the portal, the size of the road was large enough for the trucks to enter. There were tents all around the forest, plus magic weapons and trailers that the guild had set aside for the travelers to use during periods outside the portal.
"They were quick this time" Rudy said, surprised. "Is it always like this?" Ryan questioned. The redhead then crossed his arms and looked up at the night sky, thoughtfully, "I've only participated in four raids, but this one is a little bigger than usual."
'So John wasn't lying when he said the guild was worried about it' Ryan concluded. 'Well, I'm going back to my place. I have a few things to take care of" he said, sighing. "Ok I'll give you the relic later" Rudy said, nodding as he ran towards one of the guild tents.
"Ryan" A voice said from near a black car.
"Hey John"
"Want a ride?"
"Yeah, sure"
The old man then put out the cigarette he was smoking and put the cigarette butt away in the box. Extending his arm, he opened a portal. "Follow me."
The two entered the portal and were taken to John's office near the city of Neodrazzil. "The correspondents from Halfhem's guild are driving me crazy, but tell me, how was the raid?" the old man said, as he walked over to the table where his coffee pot and set of teas were. The sound of the coffee falling into the mug broke the silence of the empty room.
Sighing, Ryan explained what had occurred inside the portal.
"Hmm... So you guys fought in a wave portal" John said, concerned. With a cigarette in one hand and a mug in the other, he let out a little smoke before continuing speaking, "This was probably just a test, they want to take us by surprise..." then he took some coffee and stared at the hologram behind his desk "On the last impact, it took four hundred and twenty-seven waves to finish the portal. I imagine the amount should be even higher in this next one."
'Four hundred waves of monsters... So that's why it took four months to complete the challenge'
<But that screen was saying it would only last four days>
'We need to stay alert'
"The S Rank travelers were able to defeat the waves with ease, so it shouldn't be a problem right?"
"Today we lost over three hundred soldiers, outside of the resources the guild allocated. In the most recent impact, the S Rank travelers were able to contain much of the attacks, but that still wasn't enough to stop the giants from coming out of the portal..." John sighed, wearily "I hope my premonition is right, kid."
"I expect the same" Ryan said. The old man then held out one of his arms, and a portal appeared in front of them both. "This portal will take you to the campus, thank you for your service."

"I'm sorry for the delay" Ryan said, as he closed the door to his house. The kitchen clock was blinking on a red light, warning that it was already 09:00 PM. Sitting on the couch in the living room was Sylvanna Lullaby, the portal teacher at the Travelers academy in Neodrazzil. Her breasts were constricted by the black dress she was wearing, her hips were a little hidden as she was wearing a leather corset. But even with this, it was still possible to see how she possessed a thin waist and a gigantic ass.
The girl yawned, embarrassed she covered her face with her hand before answering Ryan. "Don't worry, I was going to be late anyway," she said, holding herself back from closing her eyes with sleep.
"Do you want to start the ritual?" he said, taking a seat next to Sylvanna. She nodded, as she hid her own face with her long black hair.
Ryan stood up and went to his office to get the cubes. When he returned, Sylvanna was almost asleep, she had both eyes closed, almost falling off the couch. Placing the cubes on the carpet, Ryan began the setup of the purification process, he had spent over four days reviewing and studying the texts of the dwarven manuscript.
Five cubes were needed to accomplish this process. On one of them he had written in detail what was considered a curse, as well as which effects should be activated. The explanation was to be done in dwarven, in an extremely detailed manner.
In the second cube he placed a mana flow that would rotate and take the energy from the curse, turning it into mana. The other two were support boxes, which would act in energy management.
"Ok, it's all right" He said, getting up. Sylvanna was asleep on the couch, and with a single touch, she woke up startled.
"Oh! I-I'm sorry" she said, startled.
Ryan laughed at her reaction "Don't worry, everything is ready. Do you want to try?".
She confirmed with her head.
"Hold this cube and stand in the center of this square" he said. Sylvanna sat down and then they began the ritual. Channeling some of her mana into the cube in her hands, Sylvanna caused all four boxes around her to begin glowing with a white light. As her mana was poured out, she received the energy back through the four cubes.
She started to perspire from it, she started to moan a little from it, the feeling was a little intense. She was losing all her mana, a process that could be deadly. "Yes! The ritual is working!" Ryan said, and the girl responded with a smile.
"I-I can feel it" she said, panting and with sweat falling from her face.
<If her mana zeroes out, she might die>
'I know that...'
