Chapter 35: Yang Tian in Trouble 1

While Yang Tian and the Warriors were having the most intense fight with the Silver-backed Bear, someone appeared out of nowhere and landed on a rock on the side.

Yang Tian frowned when he saw this person-it was Zhou Dadao that he met not long ago. 1

Zhou Dadao carried a huge saber on his back and was coldly staring at the battleground.

Xiao Fei only threw Zhou Dadao a glance before charging at the Bear again.

Just like that, each of them added more and more slashes on the beast. Its blood soaked approximately a thousand square meters of ground.

Boom!

Half an hour later, the Silver-backed Bear let out a hoarse cry and fell on its chest; its wide furious eyes slowly closed.

Right then, Zhou Dadao finally made a move, drawing out his big saber and dashing at the dead Bear.

Shing!

He was really fast. He raised the saber, went straight for the Bear’s head, and chopped a slit open on its skull.

“Stop!”

Xiao Fei shouted and rushed over.

Obviously, Zhou Dadao wanted to steal the Grade Five Beast Core.

Yang Tian hated these types of people the most, so he hopped in with his saber.

Crack!

Zhou Dadao swung his saber once again and there were sounds of bone cracking; he opened up the skull with just two strokes. He reached in with his blade and scooped up a ball of blood-red sticky brain matter, and within it was a light blue Beast Core.

Xiao Fei reached in front of Zhou Dadao and extended his hand to try to grab the brain matter, but Zhou Dadao raised his arm to block Xiao Fei’s hand and pushed it away. With a thud, the ball of red brain matter fell to the ground. The light blue Grade Five Beast Core bounced out and rolled to the side.

Woosh!

Yang Tian swiftly went over, bent down, and picked up the Grade Five Beast Core.

Xiao Fei jumped to the side and let out a long sigh of relief.

They finally got what they came to the hunt for-a Grade Five Beast Core. After upgrading him to the top of Class Four, he did not have to worry about upgrading anymore.

“I’m advising you to give up the Beast Core, or else…you won’t get outta here alive,” said Zhou Dadao plainly while staring at Xiao Fei.

Xiao Fei pouted his lips and said, “Don’t think that you’re up to my level just because you upgraded to Class Four. My brothers and sisters here aren’t playing either.”

Zhou Dadao glanced at Yang Tian and the rest of the crew; he looked at Yang Tian for a few extra seconds. He then turned back to look at Xiao Fei and said with a smile, “The fact that I couldn’t beat you before doesn’t mean that it would be the same now. You’re internally injured. Did you think I didn’t know?”

As Zhou Dadao said that, Xiao Fei frowned.

He was right. His internal injury was quite serious and it would take him a long rest to recover; fighting with Zhou Dadao would only worsen it. Even if he won, the damage to the body would be permanent and it would affect his progress in the future.

“There are so many of us, and you’re just one person. I don’t believe we can’t kill you!” Li Xuan pulled his bowstrings hard and aimed his arrow at Zhou Dadao while sneering. 1

Zhou Dadao chuckled in disdain. “You think you’ll win in numbers? I’m afraid that’s wishful thinking. Speaking of numbers, we have a much larger group.”

As he finished, Zhou Dadao waved his hand.

Right then, more than ten people emerged from the woods and surrounded Yang Tian and the team.

Yang Tian looked up and scanned the group. He had suddenly squinted his eyes because he saw Sun Yu among them. Sun Yu held a silver-white pistol on his left hand and wore a leather glove on his right hand, which seemed rather swollen. 1

Sun Yu naturally saw Yang Tian. When Yang Tian looked over to him, he sneered.

Yang Tian counted; they had 16 people including Zhou Dadao. It was exactly double the size of his team.

They were all from Shenwei Military Academy.

If they were in the city or at the High Alert Area outside the city, they would restrain themselves and refrain from conflict. However, they were in the Danger Zone, and there were no rules to talk about. The stronger side would have the stronger statement.

“People below, listen up. Hand over the Beast Core and we’ll let you leave. Otherwise, only death awaits you.” A young man from the opposing team ordered Yang Tian’s group loudly.

“Hmph! Hand over the Beast Core? Don’t you dare dream about it!” said Xiao Fei coldly.

As soon as he said that, three Warriors from Shenwei Academy pointed their Gatling guns at the group, and Sun Yu aimed his pistol directly at Yang Tian. There were two of them with a bow and arrow which were aimed at Zhou Feng and Liu Xiao.

Confronted with a situation like this, nobody would back down. It looked like a fight was inevitable.

Yang Tian shook the Grade Five Beast Core and looked over to Sun Yu. He discovered that Sun Yu and a young man in black were standing slightly farther away from the other Shenwei members. He suddenly had an idea.

He thought if he ran out of the circle with the Beast Core, the Shenwei people would chase behind him, which would lighten the burden of his teammates so that they could break through.

“I’ll count to ten, we’ll start shooting if you don’t hand it over! One, two, three…”

As the Shenwei Warrior counted to three, Yang Tian suddenly dashed toward Sun Yu.

Blam!

Seeing Yang Tian running at him, Su Yun pulled the trigger.

However, he did not hit Yang Tian.

Yang Tian’s speed had become a lot faster. When he was moving forward, he took on the pattern of a slithering snake so it was very difficult for a shooter to lock on him.

Bam bam bam!

Sun Yu fired his shots rapidly, but Yang Tian avoided them every single time.

In under three seconds, Yang Tian had reached Sun Yu.

At that same moment, the young man in black charged at Yang Tian.

“Third Master, no! He’s a Class Two Warrior…”

Seeing the young man attacking Yang Tian, Sun Yu shouted in shock.

The warning was too late. Before he could finish his words, he heard a thud as Yang Tian and the young man passed by each other. 1

Yang Tian did not stop for a second and disappeared in the dense woods behind Sun Yu.

The eyes of the young man clad in black were wide open; he just stood there unmoving. Suddenly, there was a slit on his neck and blood started gushing out.

“Ugh…”

The young man let out a groan of reluctance and toppled to the ground, dying with his eyes wide open.

Only then did the rest of the members of Shenwei Military Academy understand what had happened.

Everybody widened their eyes in complete shock including Sun Yu, and even the strongest Warrior in Shenwei, Zhou Dadao.

“Oh… Oh… Third Master, Third Master!”

Sun Yu shouted while tossing away his gun, sounding absolutely horrified. He lifted the young man’s upper body from the ground.

Zhou Dadao finally came back to his senses and yelled, “Who the hell killed the principal’s son? Get him! Dead or alive, bring him back!” 1

“Yes, sir!”

The Shenwei Warriors responded in unison and ran toward Yang Tian’s direction. 1

Yang Tian did not know he was in trouble. The one person that he spontaneously killed was none other than Du Feng, the third son of Shenwei Military Academy’s principal, Du Xiongwu. 3

Zhou Dadao moved his attention away from Xiao Fei and the rest of the group. He picked up his saber and joined the hunt himself.

Within a short moment, everybody from Shenwei Academy, except for Sun Yu, all went to look for Yang Tian.

Xiao Fei walked toward Sun Yu, and asked with a frown, “Who is this person?”

Although he overheard the angry yelling from the Shenwei Warriors and could piece together some information, Xiao Fei wanted to verify it.

Horrified, Sun Yu raised his head and said to him, “He is Du Feng, our principal’s son. You guys from Tianwei Military Academy are in really big trouble!”

Hearing what Sun Yu said, Xiao Fei felt that things had gotten serious too.

If it was a regular Warrior who got killed, even if it was Zhou Dadao, Shenwei Academy would not say much if they found out, since such things were normal occurrences in the Danger Zone. It would be a waste of time if they pursued it any further. 1

However, the situation was different when it came to their principal’s son. Xiao Fei could imagine how furious Du Xiongwu would be after hearing the news. He would do anything to make Tianwei Military Academy hand over the killer.

Although Tianwei Military Academy was one of the three most prominent military academies in Tianxiong City, its status was nowhere near Shenwei Military Academy.

It was not only because they had more Warriors, but also because Shenwei Military Academy had twice the number of high-classed Warriors that Tianwei Academy had. Du Xiongwu and his younger brother Du Xiongwen were both Class Eight Warriors. Although the principal of Tianwei Military Academy, Xue Yun, was also a Class Eight Warrior, he could not fight two Class Eight Warriors alone. 2

More importantly, Shenwei Military Academy was the orthodox academy in Tianxiong City and had the tightest relationship with the Tianxiong City Administrative Committee. If Du Xiongwu said the Administrative Committee set limits to Tianwei Academy, then it would not take long for Tianwei’s downfall. 1
