As he watched Queena Ye’s curvaceous back walk away and smelled the elegant scent she left behind in the air, Wind Chen felt like a fire was beginning to burn within his body.

“Wifey, goodnight!” Wind Chen called out after her.

But immediately after he yelled that out, Sue Lee’s roar came from the second floor. “Do you know what time it is? You useless bum! If you don’t want to sleep, then get out! You’re so irritating!”

The anger in Wind Chen grew when he heard these words.

Sue Lee was Queena Ye’s biological mother. Since he still had hopes that Queena Ye would accept him someday, he decided against getting violent. He suppressed his anger and went to his room to sleep.

Early the next morning, Wind Chen prepared breakfast like he always did, then went out by himself. He wanted to buy a car, then buy a nice suit for himself.

It was Old Master Ye’s 80th birthday banquet, so Wind Chen didn’t want to dress poorly for such an occasion.

After thinking about it for a long time, Wind Chen finally spent 800,000 dollars on a Mercedes-Benz, got the temporary license plate settled, then headed to an Armani shop. He spent another 70,000 dollars on a suit, before finally driving his brand new car home.

When Wind Chen stepped into the house wearing his brand new suit after parking the car, Queena Ye, Sue Lee, Zander Ye, Mina Ye, and Penn Zen were all too stunned for words.

The expensive suit that Wind Chen was wearing perfectly accentuated his tall stature. His well-defined features could turn heads, and he looked like an elegant gentleman with an extraordinary aura.

Even Queena Ye’s eyes lit up unconsciously. She had never seen Wind Chen look this charismatic before.

As for Sue Lee and the rest who were very familiar with major luxury brands, they could see that everything that Wind Chen was wearing cost a pretty penny.

“My goodness. After you put this suit on, you actually look more like a human now,” said Sue Lee sarcastically.

“You’re really a stereotypical gigolo,” remarked Penn Zen sourly with a sneer. He had to admit that he wasn’t as handsome as Wind Chen was.

“What did you say?”

Wind Chen stared at Penn Zen.

“I said, you’re a gigolo, a man who has to rely on a woman for a living. Is there any problem with that statement? You used Queena’s money to buy all this, didn’t you?” scoffed Penn Zen disdainfully.

“Excellent.”

Wind Chen scoffed and walked swiftly towards Penn Zen.

“What? What do you want?”

Penn Zen suddenly started to panic.

“I’m going to thrash you.”

Wind Chen grabbed Penn Zen’s hair, then slapped him twice forcefully across the face.

Penn Zen shrieked, and two of his teeth went flying out in the process. His cheeks were red and swollen in no time.

Mina Ye was right next to him, and she immediately hit the roof. “You useless bum! How dare you hit my husband! I…”

“What now? What are you going to do?” Wind Chen’s frosty stare landed on Mina Ye.

Mina Ye froze as she suddenly felt her scalp go numb for no reason. It was as if the man in front of her could destroy her anytime.

Wind Chen let go of Penn Zen and coolly adjusted his collar before calmly saying, “Anybody can act proudly and condescendingly in front of me but you, Penn Zen.”

Penn Zen didn’t dare to speak anymore. He was afraid that Wind Chen would slap him again.

In reality, Penn Zen was really nothing but a cowardly fellow who enjoyed bullying those weaker than him.

Meanwhile, Zander Ye and Sue Lee finally realized what just happened.

“Call the police! I’m going to call the police! How dare you hit someone like that! You have no regard for the law!” Sue Lee started shouting.

“Wind Chen, you’ve gone too far.”

Zander Ye’s expression was equally dark.

“I’ve gone too far?” Wind Chen spoke calmly, “All of you know very well what sort of life I’ve been living for the past two years and what sort of attitude all of you have shown me during this time. Have I really gone too far? Has any of you ever considered how I feel?”

“That…that…Penn wasn’t wrong either! This suit of yours must have cost a five-digit sum! If the money didn’t come from my daughter, where could it come from? Yourself? You were too ashamed of yourself, so you became angry and hit someone else instead, didn’t you? What sort of logic is that?” Sue Lee continued to rail at him.

“Who the hell cares about your family’s filthy money?” Wind Chen started getting angry as well, and he couldn’t stand it anymore. “I spent my own bloody money to buy myself some clothes. Who the hell did I offend by doing that?”

“You…you…you!”

Sue Lee never imagined that one day, Wind Chen would dare to speak to her like this.

Queena Ye’s expression was frosty. “Wind, it’s true that you did not spend my money on this suit. But how could you talk to Mum like that?”

“I don’t want to endure this anymore.”

“Even if you’re angry, you shouldn’t…”

“Go away and don’t bother me anymore! You can do whatever you want! I don’t care!” Wind Chen cut Queena Ye off. He was boiling with rage.

After the outburst, Wind Chen did his best to suppress his anger and went straight into his room on the second floor. He was afraid that if he stayed here one second longer, he’d kill every one of them with one tight slap.

Meanwhile, Queena Ye and her family exchanged shocked and bewildered glances.

Wind Chen had married into the family for two years and had always quietly allowed them to do and say whatever they wanted to him. No matter how nasty their words were, he never answered back.

But today, Wind Chen had snapped.

This was the first time Wind Chen had exploded.

Out of everyone in the living room, the one with the most complicated emotions right now had to be Queena Ye.

She knew very well how Wind Chen had suffered over the last two years, but she never thought that he would dare to lash out like this. She suddenly felt like Wind Chen had become like a stranger to her.

“Mum, this Wind Chen thinks he’s above the law! Look at my face. How am I going to attend Grandpa’s birthday later?” wailed Penn Zen.

“Call the police. We’ve got to let the police handle this.”

Sue Lee started hunting for her phone.

“Mum, forget it,” said Queena Ye in a stern voice. “Penn had gone too far just now. He didn’t find out exactly what happened and insulted Wind. If I were Wind, I would have slapped Penn a few times too.”

“Penn Zen, are you happy now that you got slapped? You totally asked for it. Did you think you could say anything you like here? Remember this well, our position in this house is nowhere near Wind Chen’s,” retorted Mina Ye in a snarky voice.

Queena Ye frowned. Her younger sister’s words made her feel very uncomfortable.

“Alright now, enough,” said Zander Ye sternly as he got up. “Next time, all of us should watch our words and not simply spout nonsense. I will not pursue this matter anymore. Penn, go to the clinic and get some medicine. The old man’s birthday banquet tonight is very important. None of you is allowed to be absent. Queena, remember to bring Wind along to wish your grandfather a happy birthday. Once the banquet is over, use whatever method you can to convince your grandfather. You must divorce Wind.”

“How dare this Wind Chen shout at me and use such language on me! Even hacking him into a thousand pieces won’t appease my anger! I’m so angry! Queena, you MUST divorce him!”

Sue Lee clenched her fists tightly.

Queena Ye looked down and didn’t say anything.

Time flew by quickly. It was now six in the evening.

Queena Ye and her family had already packed all their gifts, and planned to head for Old Master Ye’s place, Autumn Creek Villa, two hours before the party. Since they were Old Master Ye’s family, they had to be there early to help entertain the other guests.

“Penn, is that new car outside yours? My my, it looks rather pretty. Are you going to drive it to the party later?”

Sue Lee’s face was beaming as she stood in the living room.

“Huh? No, it isn’t mine. I wanted to ask about it earlier, and I thought Dad bought a new car. That’s not a cheap car. It costs at least 800,000 dollars. Dad, did you buy that car?” asked Penn Zen confusedly.

“I’m too poor to buy such a car.” Zander Ye shrugged.

“I didn’t buy it either,” said Queena Ye.

“You mean…”

Sue Lee’s gaze looked towards the second floor.

Everyone else froze for a moment before looking upstairs as well.

Since none of them in the living room had bought a new car, then it was obvious who had bought the new car.
