Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Lucy
“I came here because I know three things” Lucy said seductively, ignoring the fierce killing intent coming from Damon, and cat walked toward him.
“The first is simple and obvious, you can’t kill me. If a fight breaks out here. You will die at my hands. You may be a lone wolf but you are currently at your weakest. If you were a pack wolf, you would have inherited the strength of the other pack members and instantly jump to a stronger level. How unfortunate” Lucy said as she raised one finger.
“The second is also simple. You won’t fight me after you hear what I have to say. Unlike most dogs you seem to be able to control your urges” Lucy said while raising the second finger.
She abruptly changed the direction she was walking to and sat on Damon’s bed with a seductive smile.
“The final point is this. I can help you get rid of the remaining fox spirits. We basilisks may not be good but we are not bad either. We are rare and extremely few. Almost extinct. You and I are living in this castle for months now and you never noticed my presence. We are not like the normal supernatural beings you come across. The fact I risked my life revealing my identity when I know you can just trigger the ring in your hand and bring the arch mage over shows how important this matter is” She said with a stern look as she raised the third finger.
Damon frowned as he heard all of this. Knowing the lady has a point. If she knew about the ring in his hand and knew she is risking her life by contacting him, it must be serious. Even if she can win against him, she can’t win against the arch mage.
Either way, Damon found it disturbing that he and a supernatural beast have been living under one roof and he never knew! Indeed the Basilisk is not the average supernatural being you can see out there. They are on par with the werewolves and the blood clan. The thought of it made him sigh, and all the hostility around him vanished instantly.

Seeing Damon return to normal as if it was nothing even Lucy was stunned. She has seen other wolves. The pressure on them to get rid of a supernatural being is quite similar to the feeling they get when transforming in a full moon. “Have you ever turned?” Lucy asked with a raised eyebrow which made Damon frown but he still answered honestly.
“No....” He answered casually as he walked into the dressing room and changed into a plain black shirt with black trousers.
“I’m going out for dinner, wanna come?” Damon asked as he stepped out of the dressing room.
“Ooh my god! I can’t believe I am going on a date with someone I just met! Could this be love at first sight?” Lucy said dramatically.
Seeing this Damon only chuckled and walked out of the room and she chased after him! The two walked down the hall room and then took the stairs.
On their way down, Klien, Gin, and Cyrus were walking up, only to see Damon and a hot girl walk past them. Damon waved but they were too dumbfounded to reply. They just sheepishly watched Damon and the girl walk past them.
The two chatted casually on the way down which left Lucy genuinely shocked by Damon. It was surprising and terrifying to see someone who wished to kill her a few minutes ago act quite cool and collected all through their time together. It felt like she was seeing another side of Damon which was the terrifying part.
She was seeing another side of him which is easy to communicate with and naturally makes you feel close to him!.
Someone who is in hundred percent control of his emotions is the person considered to be the most dangerous! That has always been her belief!
“You are only having steak for dinner?” Lucy asked with a raised eyebrow.
“I tend to get the urge for raw meat but not just raw meat a prey who I can chase down and consume, this is just a substitute” Damon replied honestly.
“Yes, yes, I heard the more a werewolf gives into his true nature the stronger he becomes. The last lone wolf lived this way and gave his life to the hunt. It is said he became so into his identity as a werewolf, for decades he remained in his werewolf form all through until the time of his death” Lucy said with made Damon shiver.
The guide given to him by Duke Hail states a new werewolf learns from the efforts of his or her predecessor! Every position in a wolf pack is vital and when one dies another will replace him or her, learning through the life and experience of the previous.
See it this way, a father dies and his son replaces him, gaining instant knowledge of all his previous memories. When his time is over his son will take over and learn the advanced new knowledge of the previous wolf, further improving it during his lifetime.
