56 Chapter 55: Leave

Damon stood fearlessly with the enemies standing ahead of him, His aura was booming violently but strangely it didn’t change a thing about the expressions on the faces of the enemies. He had stolen their chance and destroyed their ritual magic with his death magic, he also broke the barrier preventing people from leaving with just that one act but he soon realized something.

No sacrificial magic would come with a formation that prevents people from sensing its diabolical energy, which meant that his howl right now was in vain. Someone somewhere was still fueling the formation to prevent his aura from leaking, meaning the archmage won’t be coming to his rescue any time soon.

This explains why the fox spirits didn’t look flustered after everything that has happened!

He was too na?ve to think every part of their plan would be invested into one barrier which can be broken

“You were probably thinking you won but I am sure you know how much of a mess you are in right now...” The three-tailed fox spirit said calmly.

“The sacrificial magic can continue later. I can always have someone kill the girl before she gets help and I can also choose to kill you and leave before help arrives. You should understand by now, that you have lost” She said with a calm look on her face.

Listening to this, Damon’s facial expression stiffened but he didn’t show it. He casually walked towards the exit and stood in front of it with a calm look on his face.

“If you really think you have what it takes to get past me and get to the girl, then go ahead. Give it a try” Damon’s words made them frown in response.

Right now, they were yet to attack because there was just so much they couldn’t understand about their enemy so they weren’t willing to throw themselves at him!

Everyone knew, that Damon possesses three elements, so what element did the bone spear fall under, and what were those darkish purple flames? The formation setup acted like a double-edged sword, preventing them from sensing the aura of his abilities which would have been enough to let them learn more about it.

“I guess I will give it a try then” The three-tailed lady said after thinking for a brief moment.

The moment she was done speaking her figure vanished making Damon’s eyes dilate due to shock! It felt like time had slowed down considerably and a figure could be seen leaping past him while he remained unmoving!

The three-tailed fox believed that she had gone past Damon but then she felt his hand grab her by the hand, preventing her from leaving the building!

Swoosh!

Her tails reacted far before she could as it stretched and struck at Damon ruthlessly, only to meet the empty space!

Sidestep!

Damon leaped to the side to evade the attack while throwing an open claw at the enemy! Darkish purple light surged from his claws, striking at the enemy relentlessly!

Boom!

Lucy was about to leave but then she saw a figure smashing through the door and shooting out into the open like a rocket! Damon hit the ground and kept rolling until he was just a few meters away from her. He got on his knees and spat out a mouthful of blood with a shocked expression on his face!

He could vividly remember striking out furiously, only for his attack to meet an open palm from her and he was completely blown away!

Who would have thought the difference between them was so high?

“I guess this is the difference between an amateur human and an exalted human. While the difference may be within the same realm it was still too far apart. His hands felt numb.

He looked around and noticed students in the hall across partying and some were even outside but none could see them or hear them!

“You really had to bring a true warden to create such a powerful formation, not only can it hide our aura but it hides us too. They can’t see us” Damon said with a grin on his face, revealing his teeth stained with blood.

“For someone who is about to die you seem oddly calm. We may be near the edges of the barrier now but do you believe I can kill you, just before you leave the formation?” the fox spirit asked with a grin.

In response, Damon got to his feet and turned his attention to Lucy.

“You can leave. Just head back to the dorm and wait for me there, this won’t take long. Remember, don’t look back or I may end up killing you as well” Damon said to her before turning his attention to the three-tailed fox spirit.

“She is leaving now, I want to see if you think you can get past me for a second time!” Damon said as his eyes let out a darkish purple light and the entire space turned silent!

A chilling air exploded from Damon, just like it did when he destroyed the sacrificial magic. Lucy gazed at him in shock as she noticed the darkish purple magic array appear beneath his feet and the massive eyeball beneath him!

“I said leave” Damon’s voice this time wasn’t warm!

It sounded like a cold detached voice, overlapped with numerous voices! His eyes had turned completely black with a pinch of red at the center and small black cracks appearing all over his face.

Gazing at him now she realized he was slightly paler than usual and his temperament was completely different. This was not the Damon she knew!

Without hesitation, she turned around and began walking away. The fear she felt prevented her from running as she was afraid she may anger the demon in Damon’s body!

“And who said you can leave?” The fox spirit seemed enraged and her body shot forward like a rocket!

When had she become so weak that just anyone can ignore her and do as they please?
