Chapter 119

119 Chapter 118: Meeting a first blood!

Damon journeyed up the hill with his army of fifty thousand undead puppets. With their unlimited energy and strength, Damon charged up the mountain for two hours straight without hesitation. All through the journey, his eyes were pinned forward, never looking at Kaido who sat on the same horse with him.

While many would consider his choice of taking a child who is barely up to thirteen with him to such a major battle, Damon didn’t care. He was confident in his abilities and believed the safest place for this kid was by his side.

Leaving him behind would just expose him to a sneak attack which will lead to a hostage situation.

“Is it safe bringing me along? I may slow you down” Kaido asked in a low tone as they were reaching the peak of the mountain.

The closer they got the stronger the stench of blood. A terrifying aura lived at the peak of that mountain and Kaido was skeptical about going up there with Damon. He knew a fierce battle will take place and he would only be a burden to his master.

“They have already seen you with me and considering how cunning the enemy is, they will most likely try to get hold of you and use you as a hostage...” Damon said coldly without looking at the kid. He too could feel the immense aura but he wasn’t moved one bit.

“And if that happens...” Kaido muttered the last word as his voice slowly vanished alongside the dreadful thought.

“If that happens I will kill you and whoever is holding you hostage... I have come a long way and won’t allow a child who I met just a month ago to hold me down... I am not as sentimental as you think” Damon’s cold gaze fell onto the boy sitting in front of him, making him shiver.

Kaido didn’t feel uncomfortable because of what Damon said or because of any form of malicious intentions directed toward him. In reality, he was terrified because he could sense the sincerity in Damon’s words. There was no anger, hate, joy, or any other form of emotion. It was just his master speaking his mind so causally.

.....

Terrifying!

He could remember an expert who once visited their village. The lady advised him, telling him that the most terrifying person is not the loudest but the one whose intentions cannot be seen through!

Perfect control over one’s emotions makes a person the perfect weapon!

Boom!

Suddenly an explosion erupted in the sky as a red beam shot out from the peak of the mountain, shooting towards the fifty thousand undead forces, smashing into the ground hundreds of meters away from them!

Swooosh!

With a flick of his hand, Damon commanded his forces to halt their advance. The army split in two, giving way for Damon and Kadio to ride forward but what they saw made them frown.

It was a young man with no shirt on and black pants. He had waist long, black hair with blood red eyes. He seemed casual and Kaido couldn’t even feel any aura from this young man somewhere in his early twenties. The look in his eyes was that of a superior being looking down on infidels with disgust but Damon showed no reaction.

“You are a first blood...” Damon said calmly as he jumped off his horse and patted its bony body before walking forward.

Kaido could only remain seated and watch while the army stood behind him in silence.

“Knowing who I am, yet you still dare come to face me? You must have gotten cocky after escaping death narrowly the last time” Cassius Blood said with an annoyed frown.

He was used to people kneeling and trembling in his presence! Even if Damon is the death mage he didn’t expect anything less!

“A mere leech dares speak to me in this manner? I blame the previous death mages for not leaving a strong stench of death around this place before her demise. If she had done her work properly, you would have been on your knees begging for mercy right now” Damon said in a calm tone which Cassius found extremely irritating!

“YOU!” Cassius growled!

“Silence!” Damon’s fingers were straight like a blade as it swung down!

Boom!

An invisible force raced forward, splitting the earth while it moved but in response, Cassius took a bold step forward and threw a causal punch!

Boom!

Swooosh!

A powerful shockwave erupted spreading across the battlefield. Seeing the immense power surging towards him, Kaido frighteningly shut his eyes but after a while, nothing happened. He opened his eyes slowly only to see Damon’s broad back standing gallantly in front of him!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

“Invincible! Invincible! Invincible!”

The undead army began stomping their feet on the ground while chanting that word. The sky trembled at the combined cries of fifty thousand men, not even Cassius was unaffected!

“It was a casual punch but it’s not something an amateur champion realm human can handle!” Cassius growled in anger after seeing Damon take a blow from him and remained unfazed.

“Back then I fought enemies far stronger than me and always found a way to survive. All this was before I attained my true inheritance as the death mage... It is foolish of you to think you stand a chance!” Damon snorted disdainfully.

If he could not bear a Spirit realm expert at the amateur level, doesn’t that mean his five years in the underworld was a waste of time?

“YOU.....” Cassius was about to scream in rage but then Damon raised his hand!

Strangely enough, the distance between him and Damon vanished almost in an instant as he found himself in front of Damon with his neck held tight by Damon!

Bang!

Cassius tried to flare up but he felt his strength fading at an alarming rate, forcing him to hold Damon’s hand but it didn’t stop Damon from pulling him off the ground!

If anyone were to come here and see a spirit realm master held by the neck and pulled off the ground by a mere champion realm youth, their jaws would have dropped from the ground already!
