Chapter 254 - 254 Chapter 253: Day 2

254 Chapter 253: Day “Sole God….” Demos’ eyes trembled and even the fuming Sol stopped ranting for a moment as silence reigned in the room for a brief moment.

“Do you doubt me?” Damon asked with a calm look on his face.

“He is a madman! A fucking madman! Who would even consider such a thing? Kill him now, Demos!” Sol bellowed but now Demos hesitated even more.

The more he looked at the back of this child whom he considered nothing but a pawn before he didn’t know how to feel.

“Do you have the resolve to walk this path?” Demos asked as his grip on the scythe tightened. It felt as if this was his final question, depending on his answer, it will make its move.

“There can only be one tiger at the peak of the mountain, not two, not three, and definitely not five. The world is in chaos now because there are too many deities doing as they wish with no central head. I do not plan to become just one of the gods, I will become the sole God of the entire universe, and only then will there be law and order. So what I need now are not partners but subordinates. The same offer applies to you” Damon said in a calm and slow tone.

His death aura sipped into the crumbling soul of the true God of death, shattering his first layer of defense.

“I have already proven to the world that I am the most capable host to have ever existed. Your chances at obtaining balance lie with me…” Damon said with a cold look on his face.

“What are you trying to say,” Demos asked.

.....

“I’m trying to give you a chance to bring the rest of them on board. But regardless with or without their support, we will still carry out our plans” Damon said, and only then did Demos lower his hand.

The current hosts now are still considered frauds by the guardian spirits who quietly await their true master’s return. Now things are looking grim, there was no better time to bring out such a crazy yet convenient and amazing plan to help deal with the old gods

The plan was just genius, even Demos couldn’t help but feel amazed.

If this plan goes well, they will be opportune to create what they consider the perfect host!

The God of death was left speechless and even before he could speak, Demos stretched his hand forward, releasing his death aura to help hasten the process.

.........….

Gin remained seated at the mountain top with a pale look on his face. He looked stored and unwell, not physically but mentally. He had limitless energy so it’s not the stress put on his body that is the problem, the mental strength needed to skillfully manipulate a formation controlling an empire as big as a continent.

His little squabble with Damon also contributed to his current condition but he didn’t mind.

“You need to rest before its sunrise, even if it’s for an hour,” Elsa said with a deep frown.

“Should I give the enemy to cover our home from the sky, our defeat is certain. Don’t worry, we will be going on the offensive today. We will give the enemy a reason to retreat or kill them if the opportunity arises” Gin said with a deep look as he watched the sunrise while mentally counting down how much time was left before the war.

“Have Gerald and his Armanthos prepare the human forces, Have the elves, orcs, and Dwarves prepare their forces. I need everyone in their positions, fast” Gin said

Boom!

Suddenly the empire trembled and Gin frowned. It was still early in the morning, it was obvious the attack was aimed at catching them off guard but he remained calm. His body shot into the air and his hands moved slowly and a massive screen appeared before him showing him everything happening at all angles of the warzone.

“I will trouble you all to lend me a hand and keep them occupied before the time comes,” Gin said as he performed a hand seal, and from his shadow, four of him emerged, each carrying not more than ten percent of his power.

“Understood” Cyrus and Elsa replied as they performed the same seal and four clones each of themselves.

….. Southern war front….

Sid, the ancestral dragon of nature and Belial God of sword calmly watched their army continuously rain down attacks on the empire in hopes of breaking Gin’s concentration even more.

Xiu!

Suddenly three figures appeared from the floating empire and shot down to the army below with a magic tower chasing after them desperately!

“They sent their shadows? Do these people have no regard for me?” Belial fumed and Sid watched silently with a frown.

Once a man is nearing the demigod realm, there are many tricks only deities can perform which they will pick up during the process. The final one is the shadow manifestation which shows the enemy was literally at the doors of becoming a demigod.

Just a breath away….

With this much-accumulated faith power of them, their strength should be at the peak strength of what can exist in the mortal realm. They won’t easily be dealt with!

Xiu!

Xiu!

Xiu!

Beams and attacks rained down on the enemy forces but Sid seemed unperturbed by this.

“Dragon-scaled barrier formation!” Sid ordered coldly and his forces began moving.

Before the attacks could reach them, it was met with a fierce brown barrier surrounding the entire soldiers in the region.

“We need to take down those towers and break into the empire. Our soldiers can only do so much… it’s time we jump into the front line and clear a path” Belial said after giving the matter some thought.

Under his command, the entire enemy forces suddenly changed tactics, leaving Gin with a deep frown!

.... Within the empire...…..

“They made such a decisive move. Interesting, I must say the old gods know what they are doing…” Gin commented with a sly smile.

He hoped the old gods would be laid back and incompetent due to their status which they have held for a long time but it turned out he was wrong.
