CH 38

The eyes of the werewolf that ran towards had turned red.

“Growl!”

The sound of its howling was no joke. Everyone in the vicinity covered their ears reflexively.

“Ack!”

The cameraman in front of Hara collapsed on his rear. Crack, shatter. The camera lens that was brought into the dungeon shattered.

[Insane Werewolf (B)]

HP: 2075/2075

Status abnormality: Berserk

Skills: Frenzied Howling (B), Frenzied Scratching (B),  Poison (A)

A werewolf with venomous fangs.

The status window popped up in an instant. For some reason, the werewolf that she’d spotted earlier seemed to have gone insane.

Zip, Raeyoung suddenly appeared and grabbed the cameraman just before the werewolf attacked him, and disappeared with another zip. It was possible because she was able to teleport.

The problem was that Hara and Seheon fell on the ground right in front of it. The insane werewolf, who’d lost its goal, let out a howl and turned straight in their direction.

The next moment, someone grabbed Hara’s shoulder and pressed her to the ground with strong force.

It was Seheon.

He enveloped Hara with his body instinctively and weighed down on her strongly

However, the wrapped Hara pushed the crouching Seheon to the side. She didn’t even have the time to say, “Get out of the way.”

“Kang Hara-ssi!”

At the same time, the werewolf that rushed at them howled while baring its teeth.

The yellow saliva that dripped down between rotten fangs were clearly visible. She’d definitely be poisoned if she was bitten by those fangs. Hara threw anything she could get her hands on.

Crack, the werewolf smashed the containers to bits. The side dishes within were splattered everywhere.

“Yoon Seheon-ssi, hold my hand!”

Seheon’s eyes widened.

However, with her right hand, Hara took out her sword without even glancing at Seheon’s direction. It was the sword that Bokhee made for her.

Without thinking twice, Seheon grasped Hara’s left hand tightly. At the same time, Hara swung her arm.

A dazzling light extended from Hara’s hand. Seheon had also seen this light once before, in front of the cameras. “Hehe, it may be the level of candlelight, but this much comes out…” It used to be a small sword that’s made of light.

However, it was currently at a different level from what she’d showcased earlier.

The trajectory of the light that extended from Hara’s hand immediately increased, and the werewolf in the air was split into two.

Blood gushed out of the werewolf as it was halved, and it dropped onto the ground with a plop. Splatter, its innards and blood spilled all over the ground. The escaping production crew, as well as members of Team K, who were conversely running over, stopped moving in astonishment.

“Pant, pant…”

With still-wide eyes, Hara, who was covered in the werewolf’s black blood, stared at the werewolf’s carcass. The body didn’t move at all. The hot blood on Hara’s cheek cooled down instantly.

Sizzle……The poison from the dead werewolf’s teeth burned the ground with acid.

“Unnie!”

Raeyoung shouted from behind.

“Ohh—”

One of Team K’s people took a step back.

The muddled Hara was startled by those words and came to her senses and looked ahead. And she became even more flustered.

Huge sword indents were carved into the entire passageway of the amethyst cave they stood in. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that the sky and the earth were split into two.

“Wow, that’s awesome.”

Someone muttered. As though that was a signal, the cave began vibrating at the same time. Hara immediately recognized what it meant.

Rumble……

It was the sound of an amethyst cave collapsing due to the destruction caused by the large trajectory. Instantly, people dashed away with deadly pale faces.

“It’s going to collapse!”

“Watch out!”

“Argh!”

“Hey! Bring along your gear!”

“Are you crazy, PD?”

The commotion from the production crew resounded, as well as the crashing sounds of cameras and various kinds of equipment.

However, Hara stared into the cave with her widened eyes. If someone hadn’t pulled on her hand, Hara would have kept staring at it.

“Kang Hara! Aren’t you going to take cover?”

“Oh, Anchor Yoon…….”

Just then, Hara realised that she was still holding Seheon’s hand. When she looked down reflexively, the fingers of her left hand were interlocked with Seheon’s fingers.

Hara opened her mouth inadvertently without even daring to think about letting go.

“Chief Jung, the Chief and Hunter Kwon Wook are in there…”

“They are ranked higher than Kang Hara! They’ll be able to escape somehow.”

Hara faltered.

Then, Seheon pulled on her hand again. It wasn’t a touch to seek for her consent. Seheon’s power was strong, and Hara was practically flung into the man’s arms.

“Run!”

The man’s words prompted her feet to move mechanically. Whenever she tripped over things like the collapsed equipment, tables, and chairs, the man would lift Hara, and was practically hugging her towards the end.

“Let’s have a conversation later.”

The panting Hara could only answer with, “Y, yes.” Rumbling…… It was buried under the sound of the collapsing cave, and she didn’t know if he heard her.

[@bokheethegenius: Awesome~ A destroyed dungeon~]

“Ah! One doesn’t even bother a dog when it’s eating!”

Producer Park, the executive producer, yelled in front of the entrance to the collapsed dungeon.

After escaping from the dungeon and taking a headcount, everyone from the production crew was safe. This is because Raeyoung, along with the members of Team K, did their best to evacuate the production crew first.

Other than someone that had an injured arm because of the spray of stones, and another who’d tripped over his own foot while escaping, there weren’t any other people with injuries.

Of course, the Team K members were safe.

“Ah, d*mn it. The Ulsan branch office is going to chew me out…”

Next to PD Park, Kwon Wook buried his face in his hands and pretended to cry. Hic, hic.

Just moments before the cave collapsed, and when people could only stamp their feet in worry, Chief Jung and Kwon Wook appeared, covered in a layer of dust. Of course, they were only covered in a lot of dust, and there wasn’t so much as a scratch on them.

The problem was that Hara had sealed the entrance to the cave-type dungeon.

It was no different from destroying an originally stable mana stone mine, and so the face of Kwon Wook, who was bound to be reprimanded by not just the Ulsan regional office, which manages the Eonyang dungeon, but also the main office, turned rather pale.

Chief Jung was also similarly absent-minded.

“Hey, Hara-ya. You’re really…”

“I’m sorry……”

“No, if I analyse it in detail, Kwon Wook, that rascal, is the biggest problem.”

The reason for the werewolf becoming berserk was none other than Kwon Wook. Kwon Wook explained that the reason the werewolf suddenly turned insane was because he was testing new equipment.

“I’m sorry. It’s also my first time witnessing a monster suddenly turning berserk, so I was really flustered and made a mistake…”

An S-class hunter bowed his head like his head was about to touch the floor and apologised.

As all the filming equipment was left in the dungeon, Producer Park was somewhat disappointed, but he seemed unable to say anything to Kwon Wook. This was because he signed a document that he wouldn’t hold anyone responsible for whatever happened in the dungeon.

“Would an S-class make such a mistake…?”

So all he could muster was a grumble.

Kwon Wook bowed his head again at those words.

“I’m really, really sorry. I didn’t know that this would happen. Dungeons are places where it’s impossible to predict what would happen…”

The members of Team K in the background kept their mouths shut.

Raeyoung was on the verge of fainting because she’d used teleportation in rapid succession, and only a middle-aged man named Hyundeok, who had a healing ability, came forward and focused on using his skill on Raeyoung without a word.

“Ah…… It’s X……”

PD Park grabbed his head in frustration. From the cameras to the boom mics, all filming equipment was buried inside the dungeon. The only thing that remained at the dungeon’s entrance was a van and an express bus.

He’d originally predicted around three days of filming, but now that he would be returning back to the broadcasting station empty-handed, so aside from a sense of hollowness, he seemed to be worried about the formal letter of apology and the blaming.

“The equipment that’s buried in the dungeon today is worth about 100 million won…”

“This is also our fault, so our team will reimburse you. And if you set another filming date in the future, we’ll do our best to fit it into our schedule.”

Kwon Wook soothed PD Park gently.

Originally, the filming proceeded like Team K had the upper hand, so PD Park seemed to think that it’s fortunate that they were willing to reimburse the equipment and reschedule the filming for another date. Still, the sound of his crying continued.

It wasn’t very good for the cultural department either. The scheduling team has already set the dates. He’d only managed to end up here after eating various kinds of salt from the variety director…

“I’ll also appear on a variety show. One that’ll definitely be aired. Will that do?”

Kwon Wook replied to the sound of his crying with this.

At that, PD Park’s eyes widened. It would be the same even if he didn’t say that, so he was just whining just in case, but PD Park didn’t expect him to agree to guest a show so readily. PD Park didn’t expect Kwon Wook to help him like this.

“Oh, really? Then, can you come with me to meet the variety director?”

Meanwhile, Chief Jung was staring at Kwon Wook and Team K alternately with a look of incomprehension. Although it seemed like she wanted to ask Raeyoung something, she couldn’t say anything to Raeyoung, who was covered in cold sweat, and could only grill Bokhee.

“Hey, what kind of equipment did you give him to do this?”

“Oh, Chief, I also don’t know…”

Chief Jung disregarded the bewildered Bokhee, and glared at Kwon Wook, who’d turned around after apologising to PD Park.

“Oi, Kwon Wook.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, Chief.”

Kwon Wook smiled and pretended to be wary of the chief’s mood.

As soon as Chief Jung came out, she grabbed Kwon Wook and shouted loudly, “Are you out of your mind?” Therefore, even if she wanted to hold Kwon Wook accountable, it was difficult to do so when Kwon Wook apologised several times like that.

Eventually, Chief Jung grabbed Kwon Wook irritatedly.

“Follow me. I got a call from the Ulsan branch office asking what’s going on.”

Meanwhile, the Ulsan branch office, which had observed fluctuating waves from the Eonyang dungeon, had been in contact. For reference, an agent from the Eonyang branch office had already arrived and was devastated to witness the current scene.

When they heard that Team K would be filming there, they approved it after much deliberation, but now the dungeon has completely collapsed. Even the Eonyang branch office wouldn’t be able to escape responsibility.

In any case, Kwon Wook and Chief Jung will be reprimanded at the Ulsan branch office all night long, submit a letter of explanation, and still had to make a trip to the main office.

The production crew grumbled while boarding the bus with their personal luggage. Producer Park shook his head and told Seheon, “I’m sorry, but I’m not up for driving, so I’ll just take the broadcasting station’s van. Shall I ask the youngest producer to drive for you,’ he asked for understanding.

Seheon shook his head in response.

“I don’t mind driving back.”

“Will you be alright?”

“It must be hectic for you, so you should take care of the production crew first and visit the hospital upon returning to Seoul.”

At the same time, Seheon’s gaze turned towards Hara.
