Marlon was about to run but Daniel sneered and said, "You will die here, bastard. Eat this"
He slashed his swords at him using all of his energy. He wanted to eradicate him as he is a tumor in the empire.
Marlon saw the attack and he screamed, "Ahh, my lord will take revenge for me"

The place is filled with explosions and Marlon's body cannot be seen anymore. Daniel saw that he was finally dead, so he sat on the ground as he sighs, "I finally killed him"
He checks his things and is stunned as he sees his pendant is now broken. This pendant never even had a crack, but it was now broken. He finally realized that the powers that defeated Marlon came from the pendant his parents left for him. Daniel looked at the other student who fainted and decided to wake them up as they are now safe. He didn't care about the competition anymore as the safety of the other students was important.

100 km away from Daniels's position, Marlon's body appeared as his body was now bloody and he didn't have any energy anymore. "Fvck that bastard, he destroyed all of my plans. I cannot stay here anymore."

Marlon was scared so he pleaded, "Please don't kill me, I can give you powers and even recommend you to my lord."
Dave smiled and said, "Really? You will make me stronger?"
Marlon saw that he was excited and replied, "Of course, you just need to let me escape and I will let you become stronger"
Dave sneered and said, "Haha, the superior demon is now begging for his life, what a pathetic man."
Marlon felt despair and didn't expect that he was just toying with him.

The demon world is on the highest plane, and it ruled many places. The demon world is ruled by 7 demon kings and each king had 10 demon lords serving them.
Zelgar was just a soldier of the demon lord Lupercio, who is under the demon king, Belphegor.
Belphegor is the demon king of sloth, and his strength is at the top of the food chain. Dave didn't need to learn what is the title of other demon kings as it was obvious.
