Chapter 276: Steve

Chapter 276: Steve

When Fang Mo opened his eyes again, he had returned to the main world of Minecraft.

As usual, he first inspected his territory, checked the surrounding crops, and the various automated monster factories.

Thanks to the presence of world anchors to keep chunks active, and villagers wielding swords in place of players, the factory was once again overflowing with loot emeralds, meats, minerals, so much that the chests could no longer contain them, spilling onto the ground in rotating clusters.

Fang Mo compressed coal, iron, and emeralds into blocks and then organized the storage.

He complained while managing the inventory through Steve, "It's so troublesome without storage mods. It would be great if there were more chests or storage barrels."

In fact, Applied Energistics 2 would be the ideal storage mod, but it's almost impossible to use without a crafting list, so Fang Mo didn't consider it.

Instead of delving into Applied Energistics, he thought it better to make a thermal expansion storage box, a mod he already had access to.

"Speaking of which..." Fang Mo pondered, touching his chin, "The world of JoJo doesn't seem to unlock many mods. It seems I've only unlocked 50% of mod permissions with the Stone Mask, right?"

He had noticed that unlocking mods was becoming increasingly difficult.

In Asgard's treasure house, he could easily unlock several mods, but in the recent worlds of JoJo and Bleach, Bleach gave two mods, but JoJo only half. He didn't even know where to unlock the remaining 50% of the JoJo mod.

Vampires from JoJo couldn't unlock it, so should he search for vampires in other worlds?

Type-Moon's True Ancestors, Alucard from Hellsing, or go to Castlevania as a demolition director?

Fang Mo had a bit of a headache about this.

He consoled himself, thinking maybe the world of JoJo was just beginning, so there were fewer mods. Perhaps more would be unlocked later, like the iconic scene in JoJo's second season where Joseph Joestar, to infiltrate a Nazi base, stuffed coconuts into his shirt and cross-dressed as a woman, calling himself Tequila Girl. Fang Mo thought such a bizarre appearance must surely unlock a gender-bending mod.

But then again.

If his memory served him right, Minecraft did have a Stand mod.

Not just the JoJo Stand mod, but also mods like Superheroes, Iron Man, or Naruto Ninja.

But for some reason, Fang Mo seemed unable to activate these 'world-specific' mods.

In the Marvel world, he tried the Iron Man suit, in the Naruto world, he studied ninjutsu seriously, even taking away tailed beasts, but for some reason, he couldn't unlock these mods.

Fang Mo pondered for a moment, suspecting it might be a system issue. Such a mod, like the Infinity Gauntlet mod, seemed impossible to unlock. But if you insist on saying so, then what about the Infinity Gauntlet mod? This mod is genuinely in the process of being unlocked.

After much thought, Fang Mo couldn't figure out the reason.

So, he simply gave up thinking, lay on the bed to slack off, and controlled his avatar, Steve, to go out and work.

It turned out that Minecraft really is a time black hole.

Unknowingly, Fang Mo had spent nearly half a month here.

During this time, Fang Mo mainly controlled Steve to mine and explore, especially the Twilight Forest. He had scoured an area of thousands of blocks.

He found several sets of life charms alone.

He even stored half a chest of hydra meat steaks.

One midday.

Fang Mo, as usual, sent Steve underground to mine. While passing by a dungeon, he unexpectedly discovered a gold-covered book inside.

It was written in Japanese and named '' ('Chainsaw Man').

But Fang Mo had a Chinese translation mod and instantly understood the specific meaning of this string of Japanese.

"Hmm... Chainsaw Man?"

Fang Mo looked somewhat surprised.

He had seen this manga before and heard it was going to be animated before he died. Sadly, he was killed by a dump truck before he could see it, which was quite regrettable.

But how to describe this anime...

Everything else is fine, the only pity is that the author is a "deep well ice" (a metaphor for being emotionally distant or hard to understand).

The story takes place in a world similar to a fictional modern era, filled with monsters known as devils. These devils gain power through their names; the more people fear the name, the stronger the devil becomes. For example, if there were a "Green Hat Devil," it would be extremely powerful because people fear this thing.

Conversely, if there were a Chicken Devil, it would be weak because few people fear chickens. People might even joke about it.

Basketball could probably kill this devil if thrown at it.

In short, the manga 'Chainsaw Man' unfolds its story under this setting. Some of the plot points and stories are quite bizarre. Of course, some devils are indeed very powerful and could be useful as weapons.

Thinking this, Fang Mo was actually quite tempted.

But as tempted as he was, Fang Mo didn't choose to go there right away.

The reason was simple: Nick Fury had been waiting for him in the Void for so long... It seemed a bit inappropriate not to go back and find him.

Moreover, Fang Mo thought about the upcoming plot and it seemed like it was almost time for the Guardians of the Galaxy.

So, even for the sake of the Infinity Stones, he had to take a trip to the Marvel universe first.

"Hmm... I'll apologize to Nick after I go back."

As he said this, Fang Mo put away the Chainsaw Man's gold-covered book and had Steve pull out the Marvel gold-covered book: "How to put it? Should I say the poop stuck in the toilet couldn't be flushed, would he believe that?"

While saying this, Fang Mo controlled Steve to open the book.

Accompanied by rolling black mist.

His vision once again plunged into darkness.
