Chapter 195 - The Goddess of Love

When Drako saw her, his jaw dropped.

He forgot his name. He forgot where he was. He forgot how to speak in complete sentences.

She was wearing a red satin dress, and her hair was curled in a cascade of ringlets. Her face was the most beautiful he'd ever seen: perfect makeup, dazzling eyes, a smile that would've lit up the dark side of the moon.

Dangerous!

Drako's mind ringed. She was definitely dangerous!

Ares was nothing compared to this woman.

Fortunately for Drako, he had a fantastic system. Not only that, but this woman had helped him level up one of the most important skills.

So she was Aphrodite…

What was with that magic stat? And her abilities?

Without a doubt, Ares was nothing compared to this woman!

With his recently levelled up skill, Drako could more or less resist her enchants. But was not the same for Percy, who was still dazed.

"Ah, there you are," the goddess said. "I am Aphrodite."

Percy slipped into the seat across from her and said something like, "Um uh gah."

He was under the influence of the goddess charm, so he couldn't do anything. He was just a 13-14-year-old demigod, he couldn't resist the daughter of Uranus, one of the most powerful goddesses on the Greek pantheon.

She smiled. "Aren't you sweet. Hold this, please."

She handed Percy a polished mirror the size of a dinner plate and had him hold it for her.

She leaned forward and dabbed at her lipstick, though Drako couldn't see anything wrong with it.

"May I ask why are we here," Drako asked. He found the situation kind of hilarious.

"Oh, you don't know why?" Aphrodite asked. She looked surprised when she noticed that Drako wasn't as charmed as Percy, although he couldn't put his eyes off the goddess.

Drako denied with his head. "I don't know."

The goddess turned towards Percy. "And you, Percy, do you know why you're here?" she asked.

Percy had to pinch his own arm hard to answer.

"I… I don't know," He managed to say.

"Oh, dear," Aphrodite said. "Still in denial?"

Outside of the car, Drako could hear Ares chuckling. He had a feeling he could hear every word they said. Percy seemed to notice this too, as he turned angry.

Maybe the idea of him being out there made him angry, and that helped clear his mind.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Percy said.

"Well then, why are you on this quest?"

"Artemis has been captured!" Percy said.

Aphrodite rolled her eyes. "Oh, Artemis. Please. Tal about a hopeless case, or maybe not that hopeless. I mean, if they were going to kidnap a goddess, she should be breathtakingly beautiful, don't you think? I pity the poor dears who have to imprison Artemis. Bo-ring!"

"But she was a chasing a monster," Percy protested. "A really, really bad monster. We have to find it!"

Aphrodite made him hold the mirror a little higher. She seemed to have found a microscopic problem at the corner of her eyes and dabbed at her mascara. "Always some monster. But my dear Percy, that is why others are on this quest. Not you, not this dragon beside you. I'm more interested in both of you."

Percy threw an incredulous look at Drako. He couldn't believe that Drako wasn't in the quest to save Artemis.

Drako wasn't going to deny Aphrodite's words, since Artemis wasn't his objective.

Percy looked at Aphrodite and finally answer. "Annabeth is in trouble."

Aphrodite beamed. "Exactly!"

"I have to help her," Percy said. "I've been having these dreams."

"Ah, you even dream about her! That's so cute!"

"No! I mean… that's not what I meant."

She made a tsk-tsk sound. "Percy, I'm on your side. I'm the reason you're here, after all."

Percy stared at her. "What?"

"So it was you," Drako seemed to realised something. "It was impossible that those brothers could have something as rare as centaur blood."

"Not only that," she said. "Sending Blackjack to find Percy? Helping him sneak out of the camp? Did you think that was an accident?"

"Of course! Because really, how boring these Hunters are! A quest for some monster, blah blah blah. Saving Artemis. Let her stay lost, I say. But a quest for true love—"

"That's some serious declarations you are saying. Don't you remember that I'm also one of those boring hunters?"

"Oh, but you are definitely interesting! You already have two official girlfriends! And another one that is close to that! Not only that, but you have more and more girls interested in you romantically. I would have cursed your romantic relationsh.i.p.s if you were only with them for the carnal relations. But no! What I like most about you is that you really love those girls!" Aphrodite enthusiastically said. "And even knowing all that, Artemis did something she never would have thought of. She accepted you in her women's group! A man with multiple relationsh.i.p.s with women."

"Shit happens," Drako shrugged.

Aphrodite shook her head.

"If you were like Hyppolitus, a handsome, charismatic man who managed to accompany-- not join-- the Hunters, I would have cursed you just like I did him."

This woman was dangerous.

"A handsome man should love and be loved! Not play monster hunting with those boring Hunters!" Aphrodite said. "But what a surprise, what a surprise. Who knows, you might be able to fix Artemis and her Hunters."

"What do you mean?" Drako asked.

Aphrodite didn't answer your question. "But to my disappointment, your goal is not related to love like our friend Percy's. You want to hunt as Hippolytus did. You want to play hunts with those women who don't know love."

Drako raised an eyebrow, surprised by the goddess' words.

"Hahaha, it seems that even the gods do not know everything," Drako could not help but laugh in the goddess' face. "Hunting, yes, that is my goal. But I don't care about the company, I don't care about the goal. I'm not even afraid to raise my bow and sword to you, a goddess. In fact, I'd love to kill someone of your calibre with my bare hands."

Aphrodite was alarmed to hear Drako's sincere words.

"Gods, gods. Do you really think you're the most powerful? That no one can stand up to you?" Drako continued. "You are nothing in the face of the true, most powerful race, the dragons."

"Mind your words, child." Ares' voice was heard from the outside. He didn't seem particularly pleased.

"Am I lying?" Drako asked. "What would you gods do in front of Azi Dahaka? In front of Grendel? Would you dare force us to waste our time with you if my stepmother, Tiamat, were here?"

"I remember that ancient story when all but Zeus fled from Olympus when Typhon showed up." Drako didn't hide his smile. "Wouldn't you do the same if Tiamat, Crom Cruach, Ddraig, Albion were there? Any of them is enough to shatter your mythology. Let's not even talk about Ophis and Great Red."

"I'm tired of wasting my time on this nonsense," Drako said. "Our days are numbered, and your pantheon is in danger. I'm out of here."

And just like that, Drako got out of the car.

"Wait!" Aphrodite said. "If you can change Artemis and her Hunters, if you can get them to accept love. I will give you a blessing similar to the one she gave you."

"What for? To be more handsome?" Drako asked. "No, thank you."

"Ares will give you his too!" Aphrodite ignored the god's own opinion. "These are two blessings you will not regret receiving!"

"I'm sorry, but as you well know, goddess of love, there are certain things you must not force."

With that, Drako left the car with his head held high. He didn't even give Ares a look, who was looking at him in anger and rage.

After a few minutes, Percy was thrown out of the car by Ares.

"What did she said to you?" Drako asked.

Percy blushed, "Something that is none of your business."

"Oh, you talked about love then?" Drako said. "Something about Annabeth and so."

Percy blushed deepened. "But not only that," he said. "She told me to be careful on her husband's territory."

"Wait, this is Hephaestus territory?"

"It seems so."

When Drako looked back at the limousine, it was gone. The road, the taco restaurant, the whole town of Gila Claw was gone. All of them were now standing in the middle of the junkyard, mountains of scrap metal stretched out in every direction.

-----------------------------------

Meanwhile, inside the car.

"Ahn!" Aphrodite m.o.a.ned as she fingered herself as Ares watched, kneeling in front of her.

The image of the dragon saying rude words to her without caring for her status were so arousing for the goddess that she couldn't wait to get a good f.u.c.k from the dragon.

"May I satisfy you, my lover?" Ares asked.

"Just shut the f.u.c.k up!" Aphrodite shouted, angered at the god interruption. "I have watched some of his f.u.c.ks with his wife, and all I can say is that you are a little piece of shit in the bed compared to him! I'm not going to f.u.c.k with you again until you don't learn more tricks to satisfy my urges!"

Ares face darkened, he now wanted to kill Drako more than anyway.

"Drakoooo!"

Aphrodite squirted in Ares's face as she imagines Drako f.u.c.k.i.n.g her like a goddess should be f.u.c.k.i.e.d.
