Chapter 25 - Mutual Aid Association

Chapter 25 Mutual Aid Association

“Tell me more about how you hooked up with Daisy.”

In the cafeteria of Gladiator School, Redbeard was seated in the seat opposite Lin Lei, winking at him.

Cheetah carried a plate of food over to Lin Lei’s table. Hearing Redbeard’s words, he immediately sat down next to Redbeard and looked at Lin Lei as well.

Ever since Lin Lei started Gladiator School, he would be sent here at eight in the morning instead of spending the day in prison.

He trained from eight to 12 in the afternoon.

At 12 o’clock, the cafeteria of Gladiator School would serve them food.

After the meal, the students would be arranged to have a lunch break in the lounge. The lunch break would last until two in the afternoon before they continued to train. At six in the afternoon, they would be sent back to the prison again.

Perhaps it was because they had been training together for almost an entire day, but Lin Lei was actually beginning to become familiar with Redbeard and Cheetah.

The three of them got along with each other and felt like they were classmates.

Only, ever since Lin Lei had spoken those words, Redbeard and Cheetah had been constantly gossiping about the so-called ‘affair’ between Lin Lei and Daisy. Lin Lei seriously suspected that the reason why his relationship with these two had grown so quickly was because of this matter.

Sure enough, one could never escape the temptation of gossip.

“I also want to hear how I hooked up with Bull Butcher.”

Daisy sat cross-legged next to Lin Lei, holding a tray of food.

After placing the tray on the table, she used one hand to support her chin, then turned her head toward Lin Lei. Her eyes stared

unblinkingly into Lin Lei’s as if she was truly interested in this matter.

“What?”

Lin Lei let out a soft cough. He could not help but feel a bit guilty.

“My dear, I want to hear you tell me how we started. Why are you still unwilling?”

Was this a real show of affection between a couple?

Redbeard and Cheetah looked at each other and

saw the excitement in each other’s eyes.

“Daisy, I’m wrong. I shouldn’t have said that.” Lin Lei was defeated.

“What’s wrong? You dared to be with me back then, but now you don’t dare to admit it?”

Daisy beamed at Lin Lei, not planning on letting him off.

“I was wrong. I really know I was wrong. Daisy,

please let me go.”

Lin Lei once more began to use the method he had already used so many times.

“Huh?”Redbeard and Cheetah felt a chill go down their spines.

“Let’s go, let’s go. Let’s go to the other side to

eat. Daisy will definitely blow up Bull Butcher’s head. Let’s stay away from him. We don’t wanna get implicated,” Cheetah whispered in Redbeard’s ear.

“That’s reasonable.’

Redbeard nodded, picked up his tray with

Cheetah, and walked to the other side of the

cafeteria without looking back.

“Tell me how you’ll solve this.” Daisy did not

pay attention to Redbeard and Cheetah, who

had already walked away.

“Got it. I’ll run a hundred laps around the

corner by myself this afternoon.”

“And half an hour in the horse stance.” Daisy

added.

“Yes, Ma’am.” Lin Lei lowered his head.

Daisy picked up the food from the tray and began to stuff it into her mouth. From the corner of her eye, she saw Lin Lei’s expression, and for some reason, she felt like laughing.

“By the way, Daisy, should we train Redbeard and Cheetah? We can organize an escape together in the future.”

“Did you leave your brain on the training ground?”

Daisy rolled her eyes at Lin Lei.

“Do you understand them? How can you be so

sure that they want to escape from the prison,

and how can you be so sure that there are no people sent by Talantum to monitor us?”

“I was too impulsive.” Lin Lei lowered his head, pondering for a moment. After that, he

nodded.

“Miss supervisor, these desserts were bought

from the newly opened desserts shop on the

next street. There was a long queue as soon as they opened, and I had to queue for an hour before I got them. Try them.”

In a wine shop, a manager was smiling at a young girl.

“Mhm, it’s really good. Let me try the new wine.”

The young girl reached out and took a piece of pastry and sat at the side, while the steward beside her hurriedly ran to the place where the wine was hidden.

This young girl was the female slave Lin Lei

had bought, Tasha.

A moment later, the steward poured the newly

brewed wine into a glass and handed it over to Tasha respectfully.

“This wine is really not bad.” Tasha complimented, and then casually drank two or three more glasses before leaving the winery.

“My Lord, why are you being so respectful to this person?”

The attendant at the side was puzzled. “She’s someone sent by the investor above. If

we make her unhappy and she says a few words to the higher-ups, our investment might be gone immediately.”

The steward looked at Tasha’s back with

disdain.

“In the end, she just got lucky. She used to be a

cheap slave, but somehow, she was promoted.”

“She really has some tricks up her sleeve.” Not far away, a middle-aged man who was choosing wine lowered his head and pondered for a while before leaving the winery. After the middle-aged man left the winery, he

entered a small alley and walked along it to a

house.

“Comrades, I’ve found another potential member for our association. Now, I need all of you to persuade her to join us.” The middle-aged man said loudly as he walked into the house.

“Which blessed person is it this time?” A young woman walked out from the corner.

Then, two young men and a middle-aged

woman walked out one after another. “I met her in a winery.” “Oh? Is it Tasha, the young girl who used to be

a slave?” The middle-aged woman asked with a smile.

“How did you know?” The middle-aged man was surprised.

“I’ve been observing her for some time.”

“Let’s begin convincing her to join us.” The middle-aged man was overjoyed. “Tsk, the quality of the wine in this distillery is

average.” Tasha walked out of another winery and muttered to herself.

“Hello, young lady.” Suddenly, a middle-aged woman walked up to

her.

“Are you calling out to me?”

Tasha was shocked.

“Of course.”

The middle-aged woman smiled kindly,

causing Tasha to lower her guard.

“I wonder what business you have with me?”

“I heard that you used to be a slave and have

recently gained freedom. I’m happy for you.” “Thank you,” she said. Tasha nodded indifferently. She did not deliberately hide her previous identity, so basically everyone who was familiar with her

knew about it.

“However, at the same time, I feel sad for the

slaves who have not yet been freed. So, I and the other slaves set up the ‘Mutual Aid Association’ in the hope that we can help the slaves who are still in pain.”
