Chu Liang looked at Fu Jinchen and nodded. She had indeed entered Fu Jinchen's room before, but she had never examined the structure of the room closely.

What was the secret?

Fu Jinchen pushed open the door to the room and turned his head to look at Chu Liang. "Come in." Chu Liang followed Fu Jinchen into the room. He looked around and found a familiar room structure. However, in the next second, his eyes widened.

Fu Jinchen walked up to the desk and pulled on the rope on the lamp. The desk actually moved slowly towards the side by itself. After that, a hidden space was revealed before his eyes.

"This is a secret that I've been hiding for more than ten years." Fu Jinchen gazed at the entrance as he spoke, before turning his head to Chu Liang. He stretched out his hand and asked, "Are you willing to go with me?"

Chu Liang stared at Fu Jinchen's bony hand for a few seconds before placing it on his own.

Fu Jinchen smiled gently as he brought Chu Liang into the secret space.

At first, it was just pitch-black. However, after Fu Jinchen snapped his fingers, the secret space suddenly lit up with a bit of light.

As soon as Chu Liang received the light, he was startled by the scene in front of him. A hall of the underworld appeared before him, and on the stage were two memorial tablets inscribed with the names of Fu Boyuan and Zheng Zhiqing. In the middle of the stage were their wedding photos.

"This is my parents." Fu Jinchen spoke softly, "I know you must have a lot of questions. For example, why did I create such a secret space?"

Chu Liang looked at Fu Jinchen. Although Fu Jinchen was smiling, his smile carried a bitter feeling, "Because the accident happened too suddenly and because they were framed too many times. After they died, they often appeared in my dreams."

"Many times during the night, when I woke up, I could see my parents standing side by side in front of me. However, when I wanted to reach out to touch them, they immediately disappeared."

Fu Jinchen turned around and looked at Chu Liang with sadness in his eyes. "Can you imagine? Every time they appear, they would appear covered in blood when in a car accident."

Chu Liang froze. He couldn't help but wonder why Fu Jinchen was so afraid of ghosts, but wasn't afraid of zombies.

Perhaps it was because he had personally witnessed the soul injury caused by the death god's passing, causing him to be unable to bear too much of the psychological damage.

"Dad, Mom." Fu Jinchen mumbled as he looked at the photo, "I didn't expect so much time to pass."

"In the past, when I was alone, I would visit you almost every day, but it seems like I haven't come to see you for half a year."

As Fu Jinchen spoke to here, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. "This is because your son has finally fallen in love."

Fu Jinchen turned around and took Chu Liang's hand. He raised it up in front of his parents and said, "Before I face a cold one, I feel that I might be alone for the rest of my life."

Fu Jinchen turned his head and looked at Chu Liang. Chu Liang's eyes clearly showed that Fu Jinchen was serious.

"In the future, I will formally greet you with a cold aura. Today, I'll let you see what your future daughter-in-law looks like."

After Fu Jinchen finished speaking, he smiled. Hearing this, Chu Liang's heart involuntarily trembled, and his body also trembled slightly.

Fu Jinchen could feel Chu Liang's trembling and gripped her hand even tighter. "Chu Liang, I will really treat you well for the rest of my life."

Chu Liang looked into Fu Jinchen's eyes and slowly nodded his head.

She believed it, but …

Chu Liang turned his gaze away, bowing towards the photo as he greeted, "Hello, uncle and aunt."

There was only silence.

When Chu Liang turned around again, he found that Fu Jinchen had suddenly disappeared. In such an environment, even the battle-hardened Chu Liang couldn't help but feel slightly panicked.

Could there really be a ghost?

"Bang." The door to the secret room suddenly closed by itself. The loud sound caused Chu Liang to jump up in a defensive posture.

The lights in the Dark Hall were turned off and Chu Liang was suddenly enveloped in darkness. She subconsciously felt in her pockets, but she couldn't find her cell phone.

Soon after, Chu Liang realized that he might have left it outside, and he couldn't help but feel annoyed.

"Jin Chen?" Chu Liang tried to test the waters, but he could not find an answer.

The secret room suddenly lit up and Chu Liang instantly closed his eyes. After a while, he barely opened his eyes. The Dark Hall disappeared and was replaced by a desk with a safe in the middle.

"This is something that I have protected with my life for many years." Fu Jinchen's voice suddenly rang out from behind him. Chu Liang turned around and discovered that he had walked out from a corner. Looking over, there was the shape of a button.

"Was I dreaming just now?" Chu Liang remembered the location just now. It was obviously his parents' memorial tablet, how did it become a desk in the blink of an eye?

"Not really." Fu Jinchen walked over and put his arm around Chu Liang's shoulder, "Everything you see is not a dream."

Chu Liang nodded his head in a daze. Fu Jinchen brought her to the safe and placed his hand on it.

"What's in it?" Fu Jinchen nodded and looked at Chu Liang, "Do you want to know?"

When Chu Liang met Fu Jinchen's gaze, he actually already had an idea. However, in order to not make it too obvious, Chu Liang shook his head, "If you're willing to tell me, you'll naturally tell me."

Fu Jinchen suddenly smiled and placed a light kiss on Chu Liang's forehead. Then, with a tap of his finger, he opened the safe.

The safe made a sound, and the door opened with a click. Fu Jinchen opened the door, revealing a ring shaped box inside.

Chu Liang's heart trembled as he looked at Fu Jinchen in surprise.

Fu Jinchen opened the ring box and knelt on one knee before Chu Liang. With a sincere and calm voice, he asked, "Are you willing to marry me?"

Chu Liang stared at the sparkling diamond ring. Even though she really wanted to agree to Fu Jinchen's request, but …

Chu Liang shook his head lightly and closed the ring box. Afterwards, he pulled Fu Jinchen along with him and stood up.

A trace of disappointment could be clearly seen in Fu Jinchen's eyes. However, Chu Liang had his arms around Fu Jinchen, and a single tear fell from his eyes.

Fu Jinchen's body stiffened for a moment before patting Chu Liang on the back. With a gentle smile, he said,

"I was too impatient because we both lost parents. We always wanted to quickly promise you a family to help your parents treat you well and to make you into a princess."

"I know you may not be ready, but it doesn't matter."

Fu Jinchen pushed Chu Liang away and looked at her seriously, "I can wait for you."
