Chapter 239 - She Confesses To Board Members.

"So, Edward, are you ready to select your bride?" Governor Bernard asked. (He is Brina's mother's best friend)

"I already have" Louis said.

"You already selected?? So early!" Sir Albert said. "Young man, don't hurry. Otherwise you will suffer like me" he said, for which he got a nice pinch from his wife.

"This old man is just kidding dear. Who is she? Why did you select her? You see, we have promised your father that we would help him in this bride selection. These are hard times for all the Kingdoms and we really can't take the wrong step while selecting the next Queen" Madam Irene said.

"Madam Irene is right, Edward. Although our Queen isn't as powerful as the Queen in chess games, she is still as powerful as the King, here. We really can't make wrong decisions and put your Kingdom in stake." Governor Bernard said.

Louis nodded his head.

"To be frank, I was in love even before I got crowned as crown Prince. You all know that my coronation is an unexpected thing. I really didn't have other options back then."

"I couldn't risk my Kingdom nor I could sacrifice my love. You all know how selfish I am. So-" Edward was about to say something but he got interjected.

"So, you manipulated some rules and got your lover to participate too" Sir Albert finished Louis's words.

"This explains who that new girl in top one position is!" Governor Bernard said.

"But, sir Governor, she got into first position all by herself. I might have manipulated so that she could join the competitions but, I promise that I hadn't manipulated any event so she could come first. She got there by herself" Louis hastily explained.

"She has that potential!" he added.

"We noted down your point, son. Don't worry, we will try not to break your love" Sir Albert said.

"However, we really can't promise, dear. Although we understand your heartache, we are bound to take some hard decisions for the welfare of Kingdoms. We all feel you because this is not the first time this happened in our history. Humans are bound to love but a few of them have heavy responsibilities which they can't ignore." Madam Irene said.

Louis nodded his head and smiled. "I believe in her. I am sure you all will approve of her eventually" he said as he stood up.

"However, I want to ask you a favor" Louis said, his attention mostly on the old couple.

"We will help you. However, it has to be something that isn't related with competitions. We don't encourage biasedness here...so, we can't help you just because you are our favorite" Madam Irene said.

Favoritism is something that is limited to one's heart. It can't really be imposed in some serious and important things like selecting a Queen.

"No, it isn't about competitions. I will never ask any of you to help my girlfriend to win the competition." Louis said.

Meanwhile, Governess Morgana who was quite till now smirked.

She knows what he is about to ask!

"All right. Shoot up" Sir Albert said.

"Could you just arrange a joint room for me and my girlfriend? She really needs my moral support here as she is new here." Louis said.

"This-" Madam Irene is about to say something but Louis interjected.

"Madam, you promised," Louis said. For which he got thumbs up from Sir Albert.

He always loved Louis's guts.

"All right. Just don't let others know" Madam Irene said, sighing.

She actually sighed in relief. It actually becomes easy to track their moments if this is the case. Moreover, she got moved by his love for his girlfriend.

He really has high hopes on her. And, she really hoped that their love wouldn't break.

"Thank you, Madam Irene. Thank you everyone" Louis said.

Everyone smiled in acknowledgment but Professor Issac was the only indifferent one.

He barely talks.

"Let's call his lover now! I really want to see her." Madam Irene said.

Edward is tough to impress. He was always indifferent towards girls.

He never showed any interest in matters like Love.

"You won't get disappointed, Madan Irene. In turn, you will be shocked" Governess Morgana said.

"And, Sir Albert would jump in joy" she said, slightly teasing the old man.

"Really?" Sir Albert asked.

"If this old man is going to jump in joy, I really can't wait any longer to meet her" Madam Irene said.

Just like Edward, her husband is hard to please as well, let alone jump in joy.

…..

Meanwhile, Brina and Charlotte are already waiting in their guest room.

When they get an Email from the cultural minister, they have to go for an interview.

"Ahh, Brina, you got an email, girl. You need to go now. All the best. Do well" Charlotte said, giving her a hug.

"Thanks, Char" Brina thanked and exited the room.

...

In the meeting room…

Brina entered the room and took her seat.

Her heart was pounding against her ribs.

She couldn't help but get nervous. It felt very strange for her to come back to this place.

She never thought she had to come back and face the people she once had a very good relationship with.

She never expected her destiny will be this twisting and will make her run round and round, always stopping at this place.

Meanwhile, everyone looked at her.

She looked familiar.

Though they have seen this face, they really couldn't recognize her. It was partly because they don't get to see their students faces except once or twice a year.

"Do we know you?" Madam Irene asked.

As soon as she saw Brina, she just had a flash as if she had seen Beatrice. However, it didn't stay long because there are few differences in them.

However, her suspicions could be true too.

It is possible to do some changes like changing hair color, haircut and eye color. It's not entirely impossible.

"Yes, you look familiar," Sir Albert said.

However, it was Governor Bernard who recognized her.

As someone who knows her mother very well, he could see some uncanny resemblance.

Her aura actually resembles her mother.

"Beatrice?? Is it really you??" he asked.

However, none of them are aware of her accident and that her parents have died.

Brina smiled.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

"Yes, it's me, un- Governor Bernard. I am Beatrice" Brina confessed.

She knew very well that she can't lie to them. They might catch her lies very soon.

"Beatrice??"

"Is it really you, dear?"

Sir Albert and his wife, Madam Irene asked.

Shocked and surprised.
