27 Tailor Shop 1

When they finally got near the gate, every female looked at Lucas, wondering who was this handsome young man in average robes.

Felicity felt unwanted gazes on them. When she inspected the surroundings, the only ones who were looking at them with admiration were females, while males had envy-looking eyes.

When she finally noticed that they were looking at Lucas, she eventually talked about it while on their way, entering the city.

"Lucas, you won't change your appearance?" Felicity muttered to him with the intention of asking a question.

Lucas raised his eyebrows. "Huh? Why would I? There are no female cultivators who would use violence just to woo a handsome man." Lucas jokingly said.

Felicity just nodded as it was reasonable. She just forgets about it and eventually, they reached the gate where they were asked by the guards.

"You, young man. Are you a rogue cultivator?" The guard asked as he felt some strong cultivation base but couldn't see through it.

"Yes." Lucas just answered calmly.

While it might be true that they can feel a strong cultivation base, they can't feel if there's a huge disparity between them. For example, a Warrior stage cultivator can feel Master stage cultivator, but if a huge disparity is between them, they won't feel anything as if they were in front of a mortal.

It also depends on the cultivator. If he feels bragging about his cultivation base by not showing any effort to hide it, even if there's a huge disparity, they can see the high cultivation base.

However, if a cultivator decides to hide his cultivation base, being offended by being underestimated is common.

"If you don't mind, can you visit the Raging Temple Sect? They are looking for talented cultivators. Maybe you like to go there." The guard stated but in an unusual manner. Instead, it was more like a demand rather than an informational one.

Lucas raised his eyebrows in curiosity. On the first day he got to this world, he heard about sects, and it is something that he would like to experience in the future.

Things have changed and his cultivation has increased tremendously. It could also mean that he could start some leisure since it would be 10 years before he got to ascend with Felicity.

Also, Felicity believes in her knowledge that she can make Lucas reach the Emperor Spirit Realm before 10 years.

"Hm… Let me think of it. I am a rogue cultivator for a reason." Lucas said, making the guard twitch his eyebrows as if his request had been declined.

"You…" The guard looked at him with disdain in his eyes. However, when he felt the bothering gaze coming from the lady behind Lucas, he just hissed and opened his palm.

"Never mind. Just hand out the toll, it would be 1 gold coin."

Lucas took out a gold coin from his pouch, then gave it to the guard.

The guard just didn't bother them and waved his hands inside. And when Lucas and Felicity finally disappeared from his eyes, he sighed in relief.

"What was that? Why did I get the impression that the young lady behind him was devouring me with her gaze? Are rogue cultivators this bold?" he mumbled before shaking his head and getting back to work.

When Lucas and Felicity finally entered the city, they were greeted by a massive number of business buildings. There are also stalls for small businesses.

What Lucas noticed was that it was really real. What Felicity said that this city is famous for is trading and looking at the whole layout of the city; it is almost establishments solely for business.

"Morning Sun City, huh…" Lucas mumbled as it was quite similar to a city from his previous world.

In his previous world, trading cities also existed. A land of opportunity is something that couldn't be removed from the world since it plays a large role in the economy.

Nonetheless, it wasn't really his purpose to witness only this city. He came here to sell their 'trash' and buy some important methods or techniques that would improve his growth.

Thus, first, he needed to buy new clothes for safety purposes. As he observed, those who wore average clothes were discriminated against. Being poor lacks privileges, and if he enters an establishment with his current wardrobe, he will be disrespected.

Well, for Lucas, it's better to blend into society so he won't get into any bothersome trouble.

"Let's go find a tailor shop. Let's change our clothes first." Lucas said to Felicity.

She just nodded and followed Lucas with his tailor-shop-finding.

When they finally found a tailor shop, Lucas immediately entered the above-average shop.

The interior of the shop was just above average. There are no decorations for exaggeration or beauty, but only clothes and robes piled up on a hanger.

"Where's the shopkeeper?" he mumbled, then found the guy who was almost asleep for his nap.

"Excuse me. I'm here to buy some garments." Lucas said, knocking on the desk the shopkeeper had.

The shopkeeper groaned inaudibly before slowly opening his eyes. He then lifted his head and looked at the guy who knocked on his desk.

When he saw a handsome young man, he eventually raised his eyebrows with his eyes flickering. He looked at the clothes that Lucas was wearing and smiled more.

"Young boy! How do you feel about being my model?" the shopkeeper asked, in a play-tone-like voice.

'He isn't straight!' Lucas immediately thought when he saw the swaying movements of the shopkeeper.

"I'm sorry, but I don't have time for modeling." Lucas immediately declined.

"Oh… don't be like that~ How about I give a special payment to you?"

"Special payment?" Lucas raised his eyebrow.

"Yes. It's really just a regular modeling gig. I don't have any ulterior motive. I just admire your beauty, to be honest." the shopkeeper said.

Hearing it, Felicity apparently raised her eyebrow. Some of the shopkeeper's words and tone make her uncomfortable. And looking at Lucas, she noticed that he also felt like leaving, uninterested in the offer.

However, she was surprised when Lucas was interested in the offer.

"I will have you take 3 of my special products."

"Hm?" Lucas paused for a moment and ventured his eyes outward to take in the surroundings.

"Not being offensive, but what can your average shop offer about special products? I don't find any," he said.

The shopkeeper scoffed before leaving the desk and opening the curtains at his back.

"You see. I am not just a shopkeeper, but also the owner. And this shop? Believe it or not. It's not an average shop since below the surface, wealth is raging." he said in a mysterious tone and smiled before letting Lucas follow him.

"Come inside, I will let you witness the special products I mentioned."
