149 A Different Encounter 1

"Now, what?" Ellisa muttered as, without her knowledge, Pearl opened her eyes in a sluggish manner.

Ureff pointed to Pearl as he noticed that her presence was also starting to be noticed. And Ellisa also shifted her head at her, and just when Pearl finally opened her eyes, she was clueless.

Her calm state had returned, but in exchange, she had become clueless about what was happening around her. It was as if her mind had been totally in an unstable state where it could not be easily understood.

Pearl darted a confused look at them, and then looked at her body.

"Why... am I injured?" she asked as she saw how badly damaged her robe was.

"It is because you fought with some sort of sect named Southern Edge. You were in a ferocious state, acted like a beast, and injured yourself in a state that could not be ignored." Ellisa explained.

Pearl raised her eyebrow and tirelessly asked, "Then, why did you help me? I assume that my sect has already been erased, right?"

"We let go of your sect. We only need you." Ureff suddenly cut her words off, making Pearl stop and sigh afterward.

"I see... Thank you."

Pearl had also assumed that the Southern Edge was already out. After all, she feels that these two people were stronger than the Southern Edge. She could feel intimidated by the Southern Edge's presence, but not like this when she's before these two people.

Pearl's skin was chilled, and her lips were also numb, which is a natural feeling when people are nervous. Agitation is normal, but at least for her, there are standards and types of fear depending on who is in front of her.

"We have a question. Do you know anyone named Lucas?" Ureff asked, and that immediately made Pearl freeze.

Ureff's eyes moved to Ellisa's place, and he nodded.

[So, she does know Master.] Ureff relayed it to Ellisa.

[It seems so...] Ellisa smirked.

However, on Pearl's side, she was agitated about that question. Why now at all times? It feels like when she met Lucas, her fate was sealed to be involved with him. If not for him, she would not have been moved into the Southern Region and would not have felt despair before Sect Elder Long.

But, she doesn't blame him as her weakness is a result of her being pathetic. At times, she would feel that Lucas's identity was behind it, but not entirely, as the reason she was assaulted was that she was weak and Sect Elder Long was a scumbag.

'How did they know Lucas? Did they save me just to ask his whereabouts? But I don't know, so it would be useless if they tried to ask me.' Pearl thought.

Ellisa looked at Pearl, then smiled. "I want to know how you meet Master."

Pearl has frozen again. She was dumbfounded to hear it and didn't even anticipate it since she was thinking that the two of them were just the same as those who visit their city just to ask about Lucas.

It appears that Lucas was their master?

"I don't know. But I know him because he visited our city, and he helped me with my previous condition." Pearl calmly said, slightly hiding her trembling hands.

She was getting more agitated, to be exact. However, it wasn't because of fear but excitement. For some reason, she is excited by this encounter.

"Then, you can't tell us where he is. It is quite a problem..." Ellisa mumbled while Ureff remained silent.

"No, I don't think so," Ureff said while he was looking in a certain direction. Ellisa was confused by it, and as a result, she then followed where Ureff was gazing.

Just when she saw what Ureff was looking at, her lips made a gap, and slowly, tears appeared in her eyes, and her emotions rushed through her system.

She did not expect this. And also, it was surprising that she would react like this. Was it years? It had only been a few months, but she felt like it had been an eternity since she had seen this person.

It was a person, and it was approaching them slowly with a confused expression.

"Who are you? Why can I feel Ureff and Ellisa's presence from you? " The person asked, then gazed at Ureff.

"You have the same iron scent, and you..." He then shifted his attention to Ellisa, saying, "You have the same tiring presence as Ellisa."

This person continued smirking, and just another second later, a sword appeared in his right hand, grasping it tightly.

Ellisa and Ureff didn't expect what to happen next, as this person just suddenly chanted some martial technique and pointed at them as well.

Their eyes widened in surprise as the energy of attack rushed in their direction. Both of them prepared themselves and created a barrier to protect themselves.

Ellisa was covered with some effects of a magic circle. Meanwhile, Ureff had used some blood to create a thin but durable barrier.

[Revenger!]

Then, for the second time, another attack was launched at an intense speed. It was enough for them to react, but not to respond with a counterattack. At the same time, they were also confused.

"Master, this is Ellisa and Ureff! Why are you attacking us?!" Ellisa shouted in a confused tone.

However, the person she was shouting at didn't reply and continued to attack them. This is now the third time green streaks and yellow stars have rushed at them. They gripped themselves to endure it, maximizing their energies.

"Sister Ellisa, we have to retaliate." Ureff calmly uttered it, making Ellisa shocked.

"What did you say?!"

Lucas was fighting with some sect ten minutes before arriving in the forest. No, to be precise, he was bullying some sects. He arrived at the forest map because he felt that a female teammate of his had disappeared. However, just a few seconds later, another teammate disappeared, and now it was Nathan.

Apparently, Nathan had disappeared in a location that was nearer than the other one. So, Lucas thought that it would not be time-consuming if he located Nathan's location first. At least he could still come on time if the sect that targeted Nathan was still there.

So, Lucas decided to look at that location, and when he arrived, he was shocked to see two familiar essences. He then concluded that these two were his familiars as well in his previous world.

"Tsk... another pain in the ass..." he mumbled to himself.

Lucas had thought of at least provoking them. In some ways, he also felt excited that he had seen these two. He thinks that even if they were a pain in the ass to take care of, they could still be useful for his goals.

However, not being unfair and selfish, at least after this plan he had, he would ask what their purpose was as well. At least he wanted them to have their own lives as well. That is why he didn't think of extorting their potential in his previous world for his cause.

"Well, it was their choice to follow me, so I must give them some chance to explain themselves, huh."

Then, with just a smirk on his face, the two were confused about him as well. Just on time, Lucas created a sword and performed a sword technique he had never used before, not until this competition. He wanted to test it, actually.

The reason he used this sword technique to erase the Pattern Bloom was that he wanted to know its effects. And also, just as he saw the same robe on his two familiars, he should let them taste it as well, right?

It will be fair for them to experience these attacks since they come from the same sect as the one where he has used them before.

"Well, it sucks that you have to defend yourselves," Lucas muttered as his eyes turned dead eyes while looking at them defending themselves with some barrier control with Magique Qi.

As he saw Magique Qi being used by them, he raised his eyebrows in curiosity. He didn't expect to see them use it and also discover it.

"Not bad," Lucas mumbled at his heart as he calmed his barrage of attacks. He calmed down and withdrew his sword, disappearing into nothingness.

Ellisa's eyes were also dilated at the same time. She was too pressured by it and for some reason, he felt the same energy as Lucas. She was using it as well.

"You can use magic, and you are using it with the third energy. As expected, you really are Master even with how young your appearance is." Ellisa uttered.

"Why are you doing this, Master?" Ureff asked in between his gasping.

On the other hand, Pearl was confused and surprised at the same time, witnessing such pressurizing attacks from a familiar person. And as she focused her eyes on that person, she recognized him.

"Lucas..." She mumbled in her place.
