182 Northern Alliance Discussion

Jeric took out a Jade Slip that was directly connected to Thomas. As Thomas didn't always stay at the Northern Alliance headquarters, he always should have had a Jade Slip to contact him.

And just as he contacted him, he told him to come over as they needed to discuss something.

What they needed to discuss was Lucas. Lucas was crucial to them, as he was also the main factor in the creation of the Northern Alliance. Without him stepping in between the fuss of the Heavenly Demon Sect and the Flower Dark Sect, the friendship between the two sects would not have been formed.

Half an hour later, Thomas appeared on the balcony of Jeric's headquarters with his unprepared and unbothered expression.

The wrinkles on his face were visible, but he still managed to preserve his vigorous body. And also, just as he entered Jeric's room, he immediately raised an eyebrow while he fixed the robes.

"What is the matter? I heard there was an emergency regarding Brother Lucas. What happened?"

"I don't know how to explain it. But, I suggest that we visit the place Sister Lia told me where she saw Brother Lucas." Jeric said.

"But, hey, why is the atmosphere so tense?"

Thomas was on the edge of confusion as what he could see was that the atmosphere was serious. Jeric's face had painted all of his worries all over his face. And just as Thomas was confused, he initially inquired about it.

"Well, we already know that Brother Lucas was secretive to us. Even though he promised that he would create his sect and join the Nothern Alliance, he still hasn't appeared for almost half a year by now."

"Ah... It has been a year and a half. What about it? Maybe he just got off track of time. You know he is already old." Then he scoffed.

Jeric shook his head with a serious face. When Thomas noticed it, he immediately erased his joking expression.

"What?"

"Brother Lucas committed a mass massacre. It was in the Southern Region, so let us go there first before we assess what he had done." Jeric said that immediately shut Thomas's mouth.

He nodded and followed Lia and Jeric out of the living quarters. They flew straight to the Southern Region and stopped in the northern part of the region.

As soon as they arrived, they could already see the huge crater below as well as the remaining dead bodies on the destroyed land. And just as Thomas and Jeric observed it, their faces couldn't stop turning sulky.

Jeric and Thomas descended slowly while Lia remained in the skies, observing them have their assessment of what happened.

While Jeric inspected the land, Thomas looked at the scale of the damage at the scene. The crater was dark up close, with the remaining scent of ash and burnt scent lingering on Jeric's nose. Even though he had already seen it above, Thomas could see the land being that wide.

With furrowed brows, Jeric raised a question. "What do you think about it? Should we think that Brother Lucas did this? I could feel some of the property of his unique Qi in the damage."

"Even still, there would be no better reason for Brother Lucas to do this. This land was not part of the dark sects since the Southern Region had already done their unification." A faint voice of disappointment loomed out of Thomas's mouth.

"We should not continue investigating this. There would be no good results we could get from this since the person in question is absent." Jeric suggested.

Thomas slowly nodded in agreement with what Jeric said. He then raised his head and faced Lia, shaking his head at her.

"I think this is enough for us. We don't have anything to gain from this investigation."

Lia raised an eyebrow in confusion and slowly descended. And just when she arrived by their side, she asked, "What do you mean? Brother Lucas was showing a different personality side of him and he killed these people."

Jeric answered apologetically, "Can you explain what you noticed in Brother Lucas to Thomas, Sister Lia?"

Thomas was showing an unbothered and uninterested view of the event they were facing. And just as Lia noticed it and realized why he agreed to what Jeric said, she sighed.

She explained what she saw earlier to Thomas, and as he listened to her, he could not help but show his face turning ugly.

"Is that real?" he asked.

"It could be, but Brother Lucas wasn't acting normal." Lia shrugged.

"Yeah... But what is on your mind? Should we continue investigating this matter? Or should we stop? We don't know anything about Brother Lucas by now, and there are still things we should focus on." Thomas deliberately said.

Lia's face started to change into a calm one, and as she realized what the two of them were suggesting, she slowly nodded in agreement. It seemed that they were only trying to be practical and save time.

Lia let out a sigh and then faced the two of them.

"That was only an encounter, but I viewed it seriously. Please forgive me for delaying our plans because of this."

"No, it is okay, Sister Lia. The two of us are worried about Brother Lucas as well, but he also has a life. If he does this again, we will let the other family know so that their regions can prepare." Jeric suggested that Lia agreed.

"Yeah. Let's do that."

Months later, Lucas was living silently in a village. He had already shut down his core and just continued living to observe their lifestyle. And what he learned was that cultivators were always above average humans.

Back in Encanta, the mages didn't have a higher position than normal citizens since they also had to pay their taxes to the government, which could indicate that they were equal in the eyes of the government.

However, not the entire world held the same opinion; some countries held the same view.

But, just as Lucas had observed their lives, he was now starting to see his method differently. His previous method was stupid, and it was also risky. Hence, what came into his mind was something safer.

"Human bank," Lucas mumbled with a radiant smile.

Outside the world of the Four Heavens, an entity was looking down below. This entity had no face nor any indication of what kind of entity it was. All it had was its presence and nothing else.

There were its eyes, but no indication of the mouth's whereabouts. Furthermore, its eyes were so deep that it was doing nothing but observing the Four Heavens.

This entity was specifically observing the lowest realm of the world, the Mortal Heaven. And just as this entity observed this realm well, its eyes were focused on God of Magic, who was the current Lucas.

"This creature was playing with life and had no idea that karmas were piling up on him. The original owner of the body was the unfortunate victim of this incident. If he could only hasten his process to return to his body, then everything would be alright before his karma reached its peak."

The voice was coming from nowhere, but the entity was surely the speaker of it. And just as it pronounced those words in its mind, it was also trying to assess what would happen next with the current events.

"Lucas White destroyed but reformed the flow of the universal bridges in the cosmos. Because of that missing piece, or what he called "God Slayer" coming into his hands, he recreated the flow of life in his universe."

The voice was just about anywhere, but it came from the entity that was observing Lucas. And just as the voice continued to produce words, another voice loomed.

"Senior... What has come to Lucas? Was he really this stupid?" Another voice rasped.

The eyes of the entity moved to its side and saw another entity coming. It was as huge as the entity and looked similar to it in its outer appearance. And just as the entity looked at this other entity, its eyes blinked.

"No. He was not stupid, but his former self was. The self of him from Encanta was the stupid one. He didn't weigh his decisions. That is why he is facing this kind of predicament."

"That is reasonable. However, why should we still continue rooting for him?"

"It is the will of the Creator. Well, even though he claims that he is not the creator, he is still the creator in our eyes." The entity said, with no particular tone in its voice.

"I understand. The will of the Creator and the flow of matter that destined Lucas as the Divine Emperor of the Four Heavens will occur. I just couldn't wait until the Creator gave Lucas the legacy."

"It is still years and plenty of Overseer creations. It is even lucky for the Four Heavens to have the two of us as their Overseers."
