CH 70.1

In October, golden leaves and fragrant osmanthus flowers swayed in the breeze.

Xu Xinghe was discharged at one o’clock in the afternoon, and bright golden sunlight greeted him the moment he left the hospital.

Ling Changfeng had something to do, so he sent Qin Yuan and several other guards from the Marshal’s mansion to pick him up.

Accustomed to how busy Marshal Ling was these days, Xu Xinghe wasn’t surprised by Qin Yuan’s arrival.

A small part of him was looking forward to this evening.

In the email Ling Changfeng sent him, Ling Changfeng said he would be back early today to give him a “surprise”.

He also prepared a small surprise for Ling Changfeng.

He just doesn’t know if he’ll like it.

Adjutant Qin, who was complaining that Marshal Ling should give him a raise, took the luggage from Xu Xinghe and helped him into the backseat.  “Get in the car, go home.”

Once he was seated, the Marshal’s pure black car raced through the street, accompanied by two other military vehicles.

Xu Xinghe and Qin Yuan sat in the back of the first car. Shielded by the vehicle’s excellent sound insulation, Xu Xinghe poured himself a glass of juice and asked Qin Yuan, “What would you like to drink? Is work busy recently?”

Adjutant Qin shook his hand: “No need, thank you …Isn’t he doing this to make up for those two weeks of vacation? So he brought forward the work that needs to be done recently, and postponed some things, which packed his schedule. But don’t worry, it will be over soon. “

Xu Xinghe was slightly taken aback: “Two weeks off?”

“Honeymoon vacation.” Qin Yuan said. “Oh right, the location should be chosen first. Do you have a favorite place? Give me a few options, so I can help you arrange it.”

Xu Xinghe: “…”

Seeing his expression, Qin Yuan said in surprise, “You didn’t forget, right? Otherwise, why do you think he’s been working so hard these days?”

Xu Xinghe looked up at the ceiling silently. He really forgot about it!

Qin Yuan waved his hands and said, “It’s alright, it’s not a big problem. Anyway, we’ve already arranged your leave with Ark. Your body should be almost recovered when Changfeng is done with work. When the time comes, the two of you can begin your honeymoon trip.”

Xu Xinghe who was tangled. “…I wasn’t asking about this.”

The problem is… it’s still the same problem –

Ling Changfeng confessed to him.

The thin piece of paper between their relationship has now been half-pierced, making this planned honeymoon trip a little bit different.

He hasn’t agreed to the other party’s confession, so what does it mean to go honeymooning together?

In this way, his answer seems implied and tacit.

That unfounded rumor suddenly appeared in his mind.

Spending two full weeks alone with Ling Changfeng?

Wouldn’t there really be an “accident”?

Qin Yuan persuaded him: “You should use these two weeks of vacation to travel and relax. Isn’t that good?”

Xu Xinghe whispered: “I thought it was good…”

Originally, he accepted it readily, and was even looking forward to this trip. Because he likes to play around and explore, even if it’s not a honeymoon with Ling Changfeng, a half-month paid vacation is a pretty good choice.

However, after that night’s confession, he could no longer treat this nominal honeymoon trip as a simple vacation.

A so-called “simple vacation” should be like when he travels with his classmates or colleagues. He gets a separate bed, space to be alone, the right to act alone, etc.

Him and Ling Changfeng going on a “simple vacation”… who’s going to fall for such a trick?

Will they live in separate rooms?

Not only will they not have their own beds, they certainly won’t not split a bed!

Thinking of this, Xu Xinghe already had a picture of him and Ling Changfeng sharing a quilt and chatting awkwardly.

In the past, they shared a bed because of the mastermind’s monitoring, so to speak.

Now that there’s a confession, sharing a bed…

It’s not suitable, it’s really not suitable.

Seeing Xu Xinghe’s tangled expression, Qin Yuan slowed his thoughts, and asked, “Do you have any concerns?”

Xu Xinghe: “…”

He has too many concerns!

Taking a sip of juice, he raised his eyes and asked Qin Yuan, “You say, when two people go on a trip, will they live in separate rooms?”

This time, it was Qin Yuan’s turn to be rendered speechless.

The almighty adjutant was silent for a while, and then tentatively said: “This… shouldn’t you go and discuss with Changfeng directly? The two of you should unify your opinions and tell me the decision.”

Xu Xinghe: “…”

He didn’t want to discuss this with Marshal Ling at all. No matter how the discussion went, it was him digging himself a pit. If the chat went poorly, he would directly sink himself.

Qin Yuan saw his concerns and reassured: “Don’t worry, if you really don’t want to sleep in the same room, you can tell him directly. He will definitely listen to you.”

Xu Xinghe remained silent.

It’s weird to take the initiative to mention this kind of thing.

In the midst of their chatting, the car finally stopped at its destination. The black military vehicle slowly landed on the tarmac of the Marshal’s mansion.

Qin Yuan patted Xu Xinghe on the shoulder and said, “Forget it, a time and place haven’t been decided yet. Why are you thinking about whether to share a bed or not? Don’t think about this first; a car must find its way up the mountain first.1as in a destination and time has to be decided before figuring out accommodations You might as well think about what to eat tonight.”

After a pause, he smiled at him again: “Welcome home.”

They walked into the door, and were welcomed by the servants who had been waiting at the door for a long time.

The servants in the house even stood in a line to welcome him, with party poppers and streamers, cakes and champagne, and some people even cheered. It made Xu Xinghe a little flattered.

Someone had dressed Xiaoqi up in a princess dress. She squatted obediently at the door, wagging her tail and waiting for her master to return with the servants.

Aaron stayed by her side, silently using his long tail to hook up Xiaoqi’s plush tail, and then gently nudged her with the tip of his nose.

Xu Xinghe had complained half-jokingly that Xiaoqi didn’t think about himself at all, but it wasn’t the case.

The moment the blue-eyed ragdoll cat saw her owner, she spread out her short legs and pounced forward, not even caring about the little boyfriend beside her.

Xu Xinghe caught his baby Xiaoqi, only to feel that a fluffy ball of meat hit his arms. Unable to help clicking his tongue twice, he looked down at Xiaoqi. “Did you gain weight? It seems that you had a good time without me?”

Opening her innocent sapphire blue eyes, Xiaoqi turned over in her master’s arms, revealing her soft belly, and made a contented purr.

The warm afternoon sun filtered through the open door and spilled into the interior.

It fell on Xu Xinghe, coating his whole body with a layer of golden light.

Xu Xinghe raised his head, looked at the familiar faces around him, and suddenly felt warm in his heart.

From the moment he stepped into this door, he felt a little relief and peace of mind for no reason.

This subtle feeling made him admit that the Marshal’s mansion did feel a bit like home now.

Xu Xinghe stood in the confetti full of fireworks, and smiled at everyone: “Thank you, everyone, I’m back.”

After putting down Xiaoqi, he suddenly remembered something: “By the way, I’ll cook tonight. What do you guys want to eat? I’ll make more dinner, and let’s eat together.”

After speaking, he turned to Qin Yuan and said, “Are you busy? If you’re not busy, stay and eat with us too.”

Unexpectedly, the cheers suddenly stopped as soon as his words came out.

“Thank you, but…” He Han, who was stunned for a moment, was the first to react. His face was a little strange.

After thinking about it, there was no need to hide it, nor could he hide it. “The marshal is in the kitchen now, saying that he will be responsible for dinner today.”

“…”

Xu Xinghe was shocked, and Qin Yuan beside him was also shocked.

“Huh? What?” The adjutant’s mouth opened into an “O” shape, as if he had suddenly lost his ability to speak. After a while, he asked shivering, “The, the marshal is in the kitchen right now?!”

He Han nodded and said with embarrassment, “Yes.”

Qin Yuan swallowed.

After a moment of sluggishness, he suddenly became happy.

He recovered from the shock and returned to his usual positive attitude. While sighing in his heart that love really changes people, he tilted his head and smiled at Xu Xinghe: “Go! Let’s go to the kitchen to see our dear Lord Marshal.”

So, do y’all think the Marshal can cook?
