Chapter 11

Chapter 11

There would be no accident of this magnitude.

Even if four of them made a fuss yesterday, Chryselua’s laboratory was in disarray. All the reinforced flasks on the table fell to the floor and broke. The drugs prepared for the request were mixed up and messed up.

It was a reinforced flask, so it couldn’t be broken that easily though it seemed that the four people’s magic power was splashing out, and they couldn’t withstand it. In addition, all the broken glass was lodged in Sol Noctis’ back and shoulders.

Thanks to the insane man hugging her, she was left with no scars.

It was the same for the other two men nearby. Naskan’s knee and Axen Arc’s thighs were particularly full of glass fragments.

‘Oh, my god…’

Seeing this, her face turned red to the limit.

It was obvious what position each of them enjoyed yesterday. After such an accident, everyone was now sleeping with a peaceful face. It was only then did Chryselua suddenly realized that nothing was wrong with her.

‘…I’m the only one who doesn’t have any scars.’

There was no way she could have been so lucky. Come to think of it, she didn’t think she had ever touched the floor while being hugged by them. She didn’t know what kind of power to boast like that.

‘That’s why I told them not to come in…!’

She glared at them, who were still bewildered, clenching her teeth. She then remembered something more important than them.

“Ah, the thing the Lord entrusted to me!”

The smoke, the culprit behind yesterday’s uproar, had long since disappeared. Chryselua looked at the fruit she dropped yesterday in a frantic situation. She remembered it rolling into a corner but had no memory of what had happened after that.

At that, she took a closer look at the surroundings, trying to suppress her rising anxiety.

“Oh, my god…”

It had been crushed by the magic power emitted last night, and the fruit had been damaged and was completely rotten. Even looking at the traces of the magic that made it this way, most of them were her own.

…No way. Like, like this—

She probably shouldn’t fail Lord’s request at most. Nonetheless, there was something to be done before digging the ground.

Chryselua let out a sigh seeing the three men who were still unconscious.

The first reason that she was able to wake up seemed to be the neutralizer she had taken because that was the only difference between them and her, who inhaled the same smoke. It was fortunate that what she had made while she was distracted was still effective.

Chryselua roughly cleaned out the trash in the lab and pulled out all the glass shards that were stuck to them. While she wondered whether or not to treat the remaining wounds, she applied medicine to them, thinking that they were just poor people.

‘…Why don’t these bastards wake up?’

Even after doing all that, no one showed any signs of waking up. In particular, the medicine must be a little stinging.

It was already quite bright outside, but it was still early.

Taking a break, Chryselua sat down on a random chair in the lab and looked down at them for a while before she struggled quite soberly on how this happened.

…Naskandeolux. Sol Noctis. Axen Arc.

It was not like they didn’t know each other. It wasn’t a relationship they could brush off like a one-night stand.

First of all, the devilkin Axen Arc.

Even though they shared the same building, there was a strange lack of contact. She didn’t know how he got involved now. It seemed like there wouldn’t be a big problem because they didn’t exchange words much, and he seemed to have a taciturn personality, but he was a devilkin.

The Lord didn’t like Chryselua’s involvement with the devilkin in the slightest.

It was natural. When Chryselua was young, the devilkins were the ones who threatened her life. As a child, she was almost locked up in the divine realm, and the reason she was escorted was all because of the devilkins.

Of course, everyone would feel uncomfortable with the devilkin because it was they who broke the agreement between the three powers and started a war.

It would be the same even now that the war was over.

‘It’s not just that.’

The devilkin was said to be very obsessive once they were involved sexually. Although it could be counted that this incident was an accident, it was not good to leave it alone as well.

The bigger problem was Sol Noctis.

‘Still, I used to get along well with him when I was younger…’

She had a relationship with Sol Noctis that couldn’t even be said to be good, and knowing that this happened, it was really worth seeing what would happen in the future.

Moreover, he was due to finish his duty in the spirit realm and graduate from Sedition soon. After the ritual ceremony a few days later, there would be no chance to see his face again. She thought it was a clean separation, but only awkward things happened.

Then Dawn… Naskandeolux.

‘I have been on good terms with Dawn all along, but…’

Chryselua didn’t know what the person concerned might think, but if something like this happened, the other dragons would be more upset. They were expected to go wild over Naskan, saying that this bastard caused an accident.

What kind of accident should they call this?

It wasn’t something they couldn’t solve though it wasn’t the kind of thing they worked hard to solve. As expected, it was best to pretend this never happened… that was the most comfortable thing for Chryselua and for them in the future.

More than anything else, she had to think of a countermeasure because she had horribly ruined the things the Lord had entrusted to her. She didn’t want them to have problems either.

‘…Yes. Let’s just pretend it didn’t happen.’

This was an ‘irreversible’ mistake.

She told them to not come in, yet they did. They broke the door, too. After all, it was all because of these guys. It was these guys who did the wrong thing, so she thought she was just protecting herself.

As she thought so, Chryselua got up from the chair and rummaged around the devastated lab to find the least damaged material. The reagent she would make now would save them from this unanswerable situation.

Chryselua, the Twilight Dragon, was unable to use great magic due to her natural limitations. Not only did she not have enough magic power, but the magic flow in her body was twisted, so she would fall ill if she tried to use magic.

However, there was one area where Chryselua did not lag behind others.

Feeling the flow of magical power.

It was so easy and sensitive for her to know what kind of source magic power was emitted from, how it spread, and how it formed.

Magic was difficult, even at the normal level, though if the magic material was not her own magic, the story was different. The medicine made by her used to have excellent effects on those who typically use magical powers like dragons, fairies, and devilkins.

The three blessed races of this world didn’t work well with ordinary medicine because of their superior magical powers and bodies. However, the one made by Chryselua had a pretty good effect.

In fact, since it was a medicine that only took effect when eaten or applied to the body, it did not directly help in resolving cracks. Nevertheless, people who once tried the medicine made by her always came back.

This ability helped her gain recognition in Sedition even though she couldn’t participate in the rift mission.

‘Although the amount is a little short, it should be enough for three people.’

Stir, stir.

Shaking the vial to mix the reagents, Chryselua approached Sol Noctis first. Before pouring the medicine on his forehead, she took a moment to look at Sol Noctis’s angelic face.

Even though he was drenched in sweat, his blond hair looked like it was made of molten gold. Long golden eyelashes like those of a deer, sleeping under the eyelids were light green eyes… it resembled the fresh green they were proud of.

No matter how drunk she was, the image of Sol Noctis last night continued to flicker.

His eyes, which had been fiercely raised whenever he looked at himself, loosened up, and the words he uttered frantically were cheesy, but actually quite sweet. In fact, she thought that the low-pitched voice that pierced her ears was good from a long time ago.

His saliva was fragrant like a fairy, and his embrace was warm.

‘It’s nice if you treat me like that normally…’
