Chapter 11.8

There was nothing in the room except a bed, two desks, a bookshelf, a clothing rack, and a small drawer. There was a gas stove, shelves, and a small refrigerator in the kitchen. The refrigerator he opened had seven canned coffees, a few eggs, a box of milk, and two bottles of water.

He grabbed a bottle of water, drinking it as he went back into the bedroom. There wasn’t any suitable place to sit so he sat his butt on the bed. The white sheet was neatly covered with an indigo-colored comforter as if it had been angled that way.

‘He sleeps here every day.’

He felt blood rushing to that place again. Jaeyoung turned his gaze to another place.

In the bookshelf, there was only a large programming book and no ordinary novels. It was the most boring bookshelf he had ever seen. A coat and a jacket were  hung at the top of the two-tier clothing rack and pants at the bottom. All in all, there were six tops and two pairs of pants. All the clothing items were familiar to him, and there was nothing he was seeing for the first time. He had a feeling that there was some sort of rule to the dress code seeing as there seemed to be a fixed order.

There were two desks. One seemed to be used just for studying, as it only had a desk lamp on it, and the other, much larger office desk, had a huge monitor setup on it. He could tell at a glance that the UHD dual TV monitor, which was over 40 inches, was covered with a transparent case, and was made with high-end parts. There was an expensive brand of a mechanical keyboard, a gaming mouse, and a speaker.

‘I see he does 300.’

The set of monitors on that desk looked more expensive than the rest of the things in the apartment combined. Jaeyoung silently laughed, thinking that the gap between the clothing rack and the computer was truly very Sangwoo.

“Jaeyoung sunbae.”

Then, the moment he heard his voice, he bounced up like a spring and ran to the front of the bathroom.

“Yeah, what? Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?”

“I sobered up a bit,” Sangwoo calmly said.

Why did he have an ominous feeling? It couldn’t be that he’d reject him when they’d come this far. Jaeyoung clenched his fists with anxiety. He waited for a bit, then he heard a voice behind the door.

“I was going to try my best, but…. But… I even studied a lot, but…. I have no confidence at all.”

“…”

“Please leave.”

“What?”

Jaeyoung immediately became crestfallen and hung his head. He understood the burden of having a relationship with a man. In addition, he knew it would be much more severe due to Chu Sangwoo’s nature. However, until just a moment ago, he had just been baffled to see him come out like that after sticking to him and after enjoying everything they had done together. After thinking and stopping what he was going to say several times, Jaeyoung opened his mouth.

“Was I the one who opened the door and came inside? It was a mutual agreement.”

His voice sounded cold even to himself. The response came after a moment of hesitation.

“I thought you’d get angry. But, I can’t…”

“I’m not angry. It’s just that I don’t understand.”

“I can’t do it like they do it in the videos. That’s all.”

Sangwoo conclusively notified him that his expectations had turned into a piece of tissue. Jaeyoung’s breath got rougher. His heart, which seemed to have been bursting with pleasure up until just a moment ago, was now burning with red hot anger.

“Are you saying that you won’t see me at all anymore? Even with the game and everything?”

“ Yes. I must have been crazy. Please leave.”

“Aren’t you crazy?”

He was angry all the way to the top of his head, so he screamed at him. Even though Sangwoo was doing well, he screwed over Jaeyoung like this every once in a while. Whenever that happened, Jaeyoung had never been swayed by it.

“Why are you so inconsiderate?”

“I told you to leave.”

“Don’t hide and then come out, you fucking bastard. If you’re going to say something like that, look me in the eyes and tell me directly.”

He didn’t respond. What the hell was Chu Sangwoo’s problem? As soon as he would forget, something would always revert back and appear, and this was the worst of all of them.

Jaeyoung cursed at the door. He felt shabby because he seemed like a guy who was sulky because he couldn’t have sex, but he was too beside himself to save face. He didn’t feel any better after letting it all out. Sangwoo remained silent for a while. Then there was a banging sound of a fist pounding on the door.

“It’s easy for you, sunbae, isn’t it? Since it’s fine as long as you stay still!”
