CH 183

[Unknown POV]

I don’t really believe there really is a prince on a white horse.

But now, there was a man who broke through this helpless situation with a single magic spell. It was a man who got me out of this situation.

It’s okay to fantasize about such a dream story only in your head.

I would be out of my mind in less than a month if they told me I couldn’t even do that much.

I don’t understand why my parents let me go on an arranged marriage with such a trashy guy.

According to my parents, they used to be good friends and promised to marry their children if they were of the opposite s*x, rivals if they were both males, and they would marry the same man if they were female.

I don’t understand.

The first two children were female, but we had very little to do with each other at this point.

I had met her several times before because of my parents’ friendship, but I thought she and I did not get along on the first day.

The very first time we met, she asked, ‘What’s the point of reading all these books? It’s ridiculous if you think you can protect the common people by reading books all the time.’

These words made me so angry that I still remember them vividly.

I don’t think her ideas and values are wrong. I think they are wonderful on their own.

However, I am not good at any physical activity, to begin with, and my magical power is only greater than a commoner but less than that of an aristocrat.

That is why I had hoped to use my knowledge to improve the lives of ordinary people through politics. I was quite hurt when she said such a thing to me when I thought she was a kindred spirit, although in a different manner, and it still holds a grudge to the extent that I remember it.

However, it is fortunate that she has never had a fiancé.

In other words, I didn’t have to worry about having a fiancé either, which meant I could focus on building my knowledge.

Then, for some reason, she suddenly started saying she was engaged.

I was surprised and thought that the day had finally come.

He was the gentleman of her choice.

Even though I didn’t like her, I had a certain amount of faith that the men she chose would be decent men, even if they were rotten…

“Haah… My head hurts…”

“That’s my line! I thought the dragons were going straight to the Imperial Castle, so I rushed in a carriage, but in the end, the dragons destroyed the school arena and left. Who would expect three dragons to fly in just to destroy the arena? This is a farce!”

As if to add injury to injury, Emily, one of my few friends and the daughter of the Urbana family, a family of magicians, was complaining about the recent dragon attack.

Today as well, she was wielding two drills on her head, shining golden, and swinging all around, but when I told this to her, she started talking about how wonderful this drill haircut is for at least an hour, so for now, I’m just going to think about it.
