CH 229

At noon on a certain holiday, I saw Kaisar-sama alone. (Although, in reality, the top five slaves who qualified in a tournament held weekly to select members of the unit to watch over Kaisar-sama secretly were always by his side)

‘I’m going for a walk to escape reality,’ he said as he headed out for a walk which has become a daily routine as of late, so I called Karendoll and Mowry to hold the first secret meeting.

“What’s the matter, Bridgette? It’s unusual for you to call us out of the blue. Are you in some sort of trouble?”

“Um, can you just lock the door and focus on perfecting our new invention?”

The two people that went through the trouble of coming over didn’t seem to understand what we were up against.

The situation has become so serious that I’m rather glad I called these girls here today.

“If you don’t know why I called you two here, then I can only say that you are quite lacking a sense of urgency..”

“What do you mean by that? We are all well over three hundred levels now, and the only beings that may challenge us are Kaisar-sama and the rest of the slaves, don’t you think?”

“And with my weapons added to the mix, we’re in a league of our own. No enemy to face, I say!”

But even though I’ve said this much, the two people’s answers were irrelevant and didn’t make a difference.

From my point of view, I don’t understand why they don’t understand.

“How can you not see? We have been overshadowed as of late! If we don’t do anything about it, Kaisar-sama may think, ‘Oh, come to think of it, there was a person like that…?’”

“I-I’m Kaisar-sama’s fiancée, and even though I’ve faded in the shadows, it doesn’t mean I’m no longer──”

“Can you let another slave get ahead of you from kissing to that and many other things?”

“And as for me, an environment where I can make what I imagine and listen to Kaisar-sama’s opinion would be just fine.”

“──That’s unacceptable!”

Of course, Karendoll seemed to be sitting cross-legged in her position as Kaisar-sama’s fiancée.

How pathetic.

However, I am relieved that she seemed to have realized the gravity of the matter with what I said.

As for Mowry, I didn’t expect her from the beginning, so I thought, ‘I knew it.’

“But Mowry, if he likes you as a member of the opposite s*x, you’ll be able to spend more time with Kaisar-sama, but you don’t know what that means, do you? Are you really willing to throw that chance away?”
