Ye Han glared maliciously at Ye Sheng.

Ye Sheng’s wrist was trembling. Ye Han was definitely way more capable than he was. He was at least at the peak phase of the Seventh Stage. So even though Ye Sheng had added the strength of 30 people, it was still too difficult for him to fight Ye Han. He could feel the aches and pain in every inch of his bones. If he had to strike Ye Han again like this, he would probably break his own arm.

“We are in Jixia Academy. If you dare to actually beat me up, I’ll go to the vice dean to report you,” said Ye Sheng through gritted teeth. He was filled with much hatred.

These people from Ye Manor all seemed to have issues with him. Once they appeared, nothing good happened.

Ye Han replied coldly, “I’m an older brother disciplining my younger brother, so Jixia Academy can’t interfere very much. We’re both from Ye Manor, so if this matter blows up and I get expelled, you won’t fare much better. It took you so long just to be able to escape from the clutches of Ye Manor, and you’ve only been free of them for a few days. If you end up having to leave Jixia Academy, wouldn’t that make you extremely pissed off?”

Ye Sheng’s expression suddenly turned frosty. Ye Han knew his weaknesses well.

Ye Sheng had put in so much effort to escape from Ye Manor with the help of his Eldest Sister. If Jixia Academy ended up expelling him because of a fight with Ye Han, Ye Sheng would never be able to accept it.

“Is your arm finished trembling yet?” Ye Han laughed gleefully as he looked at Ye Sheng’s left arm. He wasn’t stupid, and he knew that Ye Sheng had definitely had to pay a price for blocking his attack earlier. After a more careful look, Ye Han had immediately noticed that Ye Sheng’s arm wasn’t doing well.

Ye Sheng’s expression darkened, and his fury began to burn. The last time he had been so angry was when Lord Ye had sent him to receive 50 strokes of the army paddle. That ridiculous humiliation he’d suffered was etched deeply in his heart, and he had simply never been able to forget it. As he looked at Ye Han now, Ye Sheng felt the urge to just add on more than a hundred people’s strength and blast Ye Han to pieces.

There were more than ten Earthlings on his dantian, Earth, who had reached Acquired Level Third Stage and nearly 200 were at Second Stage. Ye Sheng could use all of these people’s strengths. If he used all their additional strengths, it wouldn’t be a problem to kill Ye Han on the spot.

But the consequences of doing that would turn Ye Sheng into an invalid. The tremendous surge of strength would cause Ye Sheng’s meridian channels to shatter and his internal organs would suffer great damage. It wasn’t worth it.

Ye Sheng took a deep breath and suppressed the rising anger in his heart as he said, “Ye Han, do you really want to continue to hit me?”

Ye Han smiled threateningly and said, “I already promised Second Madam that I would teach you a good lesson.”

Ye Sheng focused his gaze on Ye Han and said, “When I was living in Ye Manor, I was humiliated and bullied by others, and I could only quietly endure it. Because of Ye Qing’s wrongdoing, I had to suffer 50 strokes of the army paddle, which caused all my skin and flesh to tear. The memory of that pain is still very clear in my mind. I swore to myself that once I left Ye Manor, I would never let anyone humiliate and bully me ever again.”

“Ye Han, since you want to die, then you can come at me.” Ye Sheng lifted his wrists and Qi started flowing through his body. His dantian, Earth, was trembling, and if he wanted to, he could add on the strength of more than a hundred people at Acquired Level Second Stage.

Ye Han looked at how determined Ye Sheng seemed and frowned as he muttered, “You’re just pretending to be powerful.”

Ye Han made his move. His palm came toward Ye Sheng and the wind from his attack blew through the grass to become a light blue beam of light. That was the strength of someone at the Acquired Level Seventh Stage Peak Phase.

Bam!

But Ye Sheng didn’t feel the impact of this palm attack, because someone was standing in front of him.

Zhou Meiren.

He used a finger to point at the air, and a creamy white glow formed a protective layer that blocked them both against Ye Han’s attack.

Ye Han’s face became all red as he used all his strength to get past the protective layer but to no avail.

“Who are you?” questioned Ye Han.

“Zhou Meiren,” replied Zhou Meiren flatly. An aggressive glint flashed in his phoenix-shaped eyes as he flicked his finger. The creamy white glow shook and turned into the word scram. This one word smashed into Ye Han with a loud thud and pushed him back fiercely.

Ye Han kept staggering backward, and every step he took made a deep cavity in the ground as his Qi continued to surge.

“You’re from the Zhou family of the Second Sage, and you just used the Second Sage’s technique?” Ye Han’s expression changed dramatically as he looked warily at Zhou Meiren.

“Since you know, then scram!” said Zhou Meiren coldly.

“Why is someone from the Zhou family protecting Ye Sheng?” Ye Han’s thoughts were turning wildly as he tried to understand the scene in front of him.

“The Zhou family has the Second Sage, and this fellow seems quite powerful too. I’ll let Ye Sheng off for the time being,” thought Ye Han to himself. He stared deeply at Ye Sheng and then turned and left without even saying anything nasty or threatening.

The moment Ye Han left, Zhou Meiren’s body became limp, and he immediately collapsed onto the ground.

Ye Sheng got a shock and quickly went over to ask, “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”

Zhou Meiren responded in a weak voice, “I forcibly executed the Second Sage’s technique, and I have no more energy left. Carry me into my room. I’ll be fine after I have sufficient sleep.”

The weak Zhou Meiren lived up to his name of being a beauty. Anyone who saw him now would fall for him.

But Ye Sheng’s expression didn’t change. He picked Zhou Meiren up and walked with large strides into his room before placing him down on the bed.

Zhou Meiren lay on the bed, and his little face was deathly pale. Ye Sheng started to panic a little and asked, “Do you need a doctor?”

Zhou Meiren shook his head and said, “I used my own father’s technique and used up all my energy to forcibly execute it. That’s all. No need to worry. How else do you think an Acquired Level Fourth Stage person like me could hold up against an attack of a Seventh Stage Peak Phase?”

Ye Sheng fell silent for a while before speaking again, “Thank you. In the future, I’ll help you to kill one person. As long as you say the word, regardless of who it is, I will help you kill that person.”

Zhou Meiren smiled weakly. “I helped you because I couldn’t stand watching how arrogant Ye Han was. Don’t take it so personally.”

“I am someone who feels very clearly about those who owe me and those I owe. If they have a feud with me, I will make them pay a hundred times over. If I owe someone, I will also repay them a hundred times over. Rest well. My promise will always be valid,” said Ye Sheng resolutely before getting up to leave the room.

Zhou Meiren’s eyes sparkled as he looked at Ye Sheng’s back, but he didn’t say anything.

Under the moonlight, Ye Sheng returned to the large Japanese pagoda tree where they had fought earlier. His expression was grim, and the murderous look in his eyes was intense.

“Ye Manor, Hu Mei, Ye Han. I won’t let any one of you off,” swore Ye Sheng.

Did all these people really think he was so easy to bully? Why did all of them have this urge to attack him from time to time?

While he was still in Ye Manor, Ye Qing had been like this, Lord Ye had been like this, First Madam had been like this, the Old Lady had been like this, and Hu Mei had also been like this.

Now that he had left Ye Manor, Ye Han had still come to attack him.

“I have to use any available time to cultivate. Jixia Academy’s students are only allowed to study for two years here. If I don’t meet the requirements, then I’ll have to leave Jixia Academy and go back to being controlled by those in Ye Manor again.” Ye Sheng started to feel a sense of urgency.

The people from Ye Manor were seriously like some bandage on his body that refused to fall off by itself.

Since the bandage refused to fall off, then he was going to gather all his strength and tear it right off.

Under the moonlight, Ye Sheng started to cultivate like mad. He went through both his martial arts techniques, as well as his observation and meditation to strengthen his psyche at the same time.

...

Inside Ye Manor, Hu Mei’s eyes were closed as she listened to the report from a man in black.

The man in black spoke extremely softly, and nobody would know that someone was talking if you didn’t listen carefully. Hu Mei’s eyes were shut, but she heard every single word he said.

“That useless thing was named as the top student in this batch by Priest Qingxu of Dragon Tiger Mountain, and even though Priest Qingxu wanted to take him in as a disciple, Ye Sheng rejected the offer?” Hu Mei laughed coldly.

The man in black kept his head bowed and didn’t say anything.

“A piece of trash is a piece of trash, and he doesn’t even know how to grab hold of this opportunity. Priest Qingxu is a high-level Daoist priest from Dragon Tiger Mountain, and he wouldn’t have come to Jixia Academy at all if he hadn’t fallen out with the Sect Head of Dragon Tiger Mountain. So many people are dying to become his disciple, but Ye Sheng actually gave up the chance. I was worried that he might be like a dragon when returning to the great ocean, but it seems like he’s a little shrimp who can’t be compared to a real dragon after all,” said Hu Mei in a pleased voice.

“Tell Ye Han to give Ye Sheng trouble within Jixia Academy, and make sure Ye Sheng doesn’t live too comfortably. Even though he’s under the protection of Jixia Academy and we can’t kill him, we can make things as difficult as possible for him,” said Hu Mei in a cold voice.
