Chapter 65: Man In Black

"The second round of the competition... You don't have to worry about that. The competition has long started. You were still unconscious at that time so you were unable to participate."

"Don't think too much. Rest well." Saying this, Jia Lan did not give Qin Feng any more chance to ask another question. She left and before leaving, she slowly closed the door.

Qin Feng was full of regret at this moment.

He was sure that with his current strength, he could have become the champion of the competition but unfortunately, he lost his only chance to participate in the second round of the competition.

Sigh!

Letting out a long sigh, Qin Feng looked at the dimensional crystal in his hand.

He could not understand how he got this dimensional crystal but since it was already in his hand, he planned to absorb it before going out.

Just as Qin Feng was about to begin absorbing the dimensional crystal, he felt a piercing pain in his head and the next moment, his surroundings changed as he found himself in a small village.

Qin Feng was confused as he could not understand what happened. He was still inside his dorm, planning to absorb the dimensional crystal then a piercing pain appeared in his head, and now, he was in a small village.

How did this happen?

What is this place?

What is the reason for him to appear here?

Many questions started to appear in Qin Feng's mind one after another but there was no answer.

Qin tried to move forward but he was shocked to see that he could not move even an inch.

Qin Feng could only sigh. Since he could not move, he did not try to move anymore. He curiously looked at the village.

This village was strange. There were no modern machines here like bicycles, bikes, or cars. What caused Qin Feng to become even more confuses was the dresses that the villagers wore.

They were actually wearing robes like the people from ancient times. Their robes were also very simple.

Suddenly, Qin Feng's eyes opened wide as two people caught his attention.

They were a kid and his mother.

That kid was about ten years old and his mother was still in her prime. She was a beautiful woman.

They caught Qin Feng's eyes because that kid's face was extremely similar to his own.

At this moment, he was finally able to move. He followed behind the kid and heard what the kid was saying to his mother.

"Mother, there is a shop at the end of that street. The uncle in that shop is very good. He always gives me some sweets to eat." That kid said to his mother with a big smile on his face while pointing at a street on his right side.

His mother smiles lightly as she strokes her son's head with love and said, "Feng'er, did you thank that uncle? Remember, if you take something from someone, you have to thank that person. Ok?"

"Hmm, I will thank that uncle when we will meet again." The child called Feng'er nodded his head heavily and said. There was still a silly smile on his face.

That kid kept looking here and there with a curious face while holding the hand of his mother with his right hand.

At this moment, a painful scream of someone rang out. All the people present turned their heads to look in a certain direction, and what they saw there caused their hearts to tremble in fear.

They saw a man whose body feature could not be seen as it was covered with a black cloak, was holding a long sword in his hand.

Drops of blood were dripping on the ground from the sharp blade of the sword.

In front of that man, there was a corpse of a middle-aged woman. Her body was chopped into two parts and her blood has already colored the ground red.

Although she was already dead, there was still traces of immense fear on her face. It could be seen from this how terrified she was before she died.

"Tsk! Tsk! Mortal's blood... After slaughtering this village and bathing in these mortal's blood, I can make another breakthrough in my cultivation."

The man started laughing as he said these words without lowering his voice. It was as if he was announcing to every villager that their fate has already been sealed and all of them will die by his hand.

All the villagers were terrified as they saw this. They started running in different directions to save themselves. A huge uproar was caused in the villagers by the man in black.

The man in black had no intention of making any move. He kept looking at the villagers who were trying to flee with all their might. Some people tried to hide and some were running towards the exit of the village, and some of them had already fainted due to fear.

Seeing these people fleeing in fear to save their lives, the man in black laughed out loud. A hideous smile appeared on his hidden face that could not be seen by any other person.

That child called Feng'er was also being pulled by his mother as both of them tried to escape from the village.

At this moment, the man in black made his move. He slashed his sword horizontally and a black ray of light appeared where the man in black slashed.

Then that black ray of light shot forward while its size continued to increase as time went by. It was like a sharp blade, wherever it passed, everything was cut into halves. Be it walls, homes, shops, people, or animals, all of them were cut into two halves by the sharp blade of light.

One attack and tens of people's died a horrible death. They were not even left with a complete body.

Qin Feng, who was looking at all of this from the side had a look of extreme anger on his face.

At this moment, he wanted nothing more than to kill this man in black but no matter how hard he tried, he was simply unable to make any move.

Qin Feng was like a spectator, he could only helplessly watch these villagers being slaughtered by the man in black and could do nothing to save them.

He looked at the fleeing figure of Feng'er and his mother. They were running with all they had just to save their lives.

"Feng'er, promise me, no matter what happens later, you will not let out a single sound."

Maybe, the mother of Feng'er already knew that she could not escape from this calamity, hence, she clenched her fist as she decided something in her mind and asked her son to make a promise nit not to let out any sound no matter what happen next.

Although Feng'er could not understand what his mother was going to do, since his mother told him to promise her, he promised his mother, saying, "Mother, I promise not to make any sound."

His mother nodded her head as tears rolled down on her fair cheeks from her beautiful pair of eyes. She cupped her hand on the cheeks of Feng'er and said, "Feng'er, lie down and remember, no matter what happens, you can not make any sound."

Feng'er nodded his head and obediently lay down on the ground.

Exactly at this time, the man in black again slashed down his sword another black ray of light shot forward, cutting down everything in its way into two.

That kid's mother was no exception. She was also cut down into two halves from her waist in front of her own child as her blood sprouted out like a fountain and fell on Feng'er.

His eyes were opened as he kept looking at his dying mother. His mother was still looking at him and there was still a smile on her face. Then she moved her lips to say something but her voice died down and failed to say anything. Her upper body was separated from her lower body and both parts of her body fell down on the ground.

On the other hand, although his mother failed to say anything, Feng'er was still able to read her lips. She was telling him not to make any sound.

His eyes were still wide opened and his body trembled. His entire body was already covered in his own mother's blood. It was as if he received a heavy blow, his body stopped trembling as tears fell down from his eyes.

Although he was in so much pain, he still remembered the promise he made with his mother so he did not make any sound. He also closed his eyes.

Not long after, the man in black had slaughtered everyone in the village and did not even spare a new-born child. He was very ruthless with his action. He killed everyone in the village.
