Chapter 277 - You Are A Family

"Hah… wasn't this your favorite activity.. mother…" Javier muttered these words in between his breath when a tired sigh escaped his lips.

A lonely expression seemed to plaster over his head, making him feel the heaviness over his dear heart.

Closing his eyes he kept his head against the wall to be pulled back into the past..

FLASHBACK.

The young Javier was standing near the boxes where he took out another photo frame to stare at it from all the sides.

"Clean it first, Javier." The strict voice from behind made him alert when he immediately took the nearby towel to wipe the dust from it.

As the young boy wearing a shirt, with a small-cap over his head. Using the towel, he cleaned the dust all over it but in return, that dirtied his own shirt.

A bright smile plastered on his lips when he found that the frame of glass was shining bright now, "Here mother! Take this."

"Hmm. Give me." His mother took the photo frame from his hand and then hung it on the wall, looking at the entire wall that was half-filled with some pictures of their family.

While a satisfied grin appears on the lady's face, the young boy looks distal to the current work which they did. "Muma, why are we doing this?"

"Why shouldn't we? Don't you like to cherish your dear family?" Turning around, he raises his eyebrows to indicate that he didn't like the question which she asked him.

But his mood turned sour at her question when his lips round in a straight line, showing that he was still angry. "I don't have any wish to get memories of the family which hurt me."

"Child..." coming closer to Javier, the lady patted the boy's head as she slightly answered, "Sometimes, we have to let go of certain things in our lives and look ahead. You don't have to be upset."

"But that lady.." he wanted to go further but didn't dare to due to his mother's facial expressions. At this point, he understood that it wasn't the time to spoil his mother's bright face.

At last, he passed his mother a nod in agreement to her words but then he over his gaze in addition to the wall, "You love photographs of mother, don't you?"

"Absolutely!" The young Javier asked innocently to which his mother's teeth were shining, which were almost bringing a wide smile over her lips that was already making his day.

"Alright! No chit-chat anymore. Give me the next photo frame, but with  care and clean it properly now." Junior Javier nodded his head enthusiastically when he turned around and picked another photograph in front of the box.

But then, his hand stopped in the middle air when he looked at the photograph, as his heart skipped a beat to even say a single word.

His hands don't move from their place rather his eyes never tore from the picture even for mere seconds.

Getting no response from Javier made the lady turn around to look at her child.

"What happened to you?"

"T..this.. is.. your.. wedding.... photograph."

*FLASHBACK*

"Javier! Javier!"

The voice pulled him out of his memories when he looked at his wife who seemed too worried about him engulfing in the past.

Opening eyelids, came in view her face which worried to death. A frown curved on her forehead when she was constantly tapping his shoulders, "What happened to you!? Do you want me to bring something for you?"

"N-No need. It Was.. leave it." Javier had not intended to narrate the storyline since then the ending wasn't a good one either.

Rather, he simply walked off from the room and came to the adjacent room of his mother to open the last drawer of the shelf and found the certain thing which he was thinking earlier about.

'You kept it here…' only if he knew that she was kidding at the start when his mother told him that she will destroy this frame after some time. Instead of destroying it, she brought it near her room and kept it as the shelf... which will make her remember the mistake she committed.

The photo frame was exactly how has he seen on that day, where his mother was ready to throw the same on the floor, only to pull up the act of hatred.

Jennifer didn't follow him, neither did he bring the photo frame out to showcase her. He closed the drawer, walked back to his room to find her already absorbed in some other thoughts.

"This room was mine. When my mother left one of my father's houses, it was me who tagged along with her." Javier answered to extinguish her curiosity.

"Seems like this. But.. was it only you who moved out with her or was there your elder brother as well with you guys?" That was something that kept on revolving in her mind.

She wondered if he would reveal this to her or not since the topic is very sensitive to ask but in the end, he didn't say anything with respect to this.

"Well.." scratching his head, he shook his head, "That is a long tale to tell. It is hard to comment so easily and will not make sense. But in short, no, he didn't come along with us and stayed in the Johnson mansion."

She wanted to know further but keeping her heart at bay, Jennifer averted her gaze. At that time, Javier instantly came from her back as he brought himself closer to her body to whisper into her ears.

"You know…. Why did I come here?"

"Hmm..No? But now tell me." Jennifer asked when he planted a kiss on her cheeks to whisper in ear hers, "Because I wanted you to get a fresh idea about my roots as well… after all.. as a husband and wife, we should know this."

Immediately making her turn around, he kept his hand around her waist without breaking eye contact, he said further, "You are a family now…"
