Chapter 160 - Hello, Sister?

Dai Fang had just finished his morning meeting with his staff. It was the usual talk about what happened the night before while he was gone, who were the VIPs inside the hotel and what should they expect for the rest of the day.

Ever since he was hired about a month ago, he always took his people to the hotel's restaurant and had quick breakfasts with them. The food were in small portion to ensure that they would not stay too long in the meeting. Mostly, it was not even half an hour.

He was just on his way back to his corner office when suddenly his beautiful secretary stopped him from entering. "Mr. Dai, Mr. Qing's secretary called. He is looking for you."

He pointed to himself. "Me? Qing Chen is looking for me?"

"Yes," the woman nodded, her lips thinned with him using Qing Chen's names. "MR. QING is looking for you."

His secretary didn't really like him. Maybe they got off the wrong foot. It wasn't even his fault that the managing director got on the bad side of the board and he was booted out.

"What does he want with me?" he asked.

The secretary sat back on her desk and shrugged. "When the boss calls, we answer. We don't ask questions." Then she proceeded on typing on her computer. She flicked her eyes to him without moving her face. "What are you still doing here? Do you intend to make Mr. Qing wait?"

Dai Fang gritted his teeth but plastered a smile on his face. "Please call and tell them I am on my way."

"Will do," the secretary answered with a clip tone.

Seems like someone had a crush on the CEO. Dai Fang shook his head while heading up to the floor.

Qing Chen? He thought in his head. Pft.

What was he thinking pulling him out of his daily duties? That kid needed to be taught respect.

**

Qing Chen had been made aware of the changes in the people in the hotel just last night. He didn't have a negative reaction as he had already seen this coming. The previous managing director was not being efficient lately and it was affecting the performance of the hotel. His father told him he had already kicked out the manager whilst Qing Chen was gone.

Another thing he was not surprised about, was the replacement. Dai Fang's family was second with the biggest shares in the company with 15%. Of course, they wanted a player on the field.

Qing Chen's door opened and he thought it was Dai Fang already but it was just Mrs. Chi with another paper bag. This one had a logo of a famous coffeeshop. His secretary was about to place it on the table with the rest of the gifts that had come pouring in since the morning when he stopped her. "I think I'll take that coffee."

"It smells delicious, Mr. Qing," Mrs. Chi smiled and placed it in on table.

"Please have the other cup."

"Thank you."

On the cup a note was written: I wish you a great day! <3

Signed with a name Qing Chen was not familiar with. He drank the coffee and almost spat it out. The coffee tasted just like how he ordered it from that shop. Now his stalkers were finally surfacing.

Qing Chen's attention was on his work when the door opened again. "If that's another box of chocolate, please do me a favor and take it home to your grandchildren."

"I'm too young to be a grandpa," said a male voice.

Qing Chen only flicked his eyes on the newcomer and turned back to the papers in front of him. "Hello, Dai Fang."

"I heard you were looking for me."

"I was." Qing Chen pulled out a folder from under the pile and waited for Dai Fang to pull it out. "I have read your reports ever since you had assumed position. I should say you're not that effective. You knew why the previous managing director was kicked out. He was disorganized and his staff suffered along with him. But based on the reports I had been getting all you do it take yours to meals. You managed to make it better by 1% since three weeks ago? That's poor performance."

Dai Fang examined the papers in the folder. "I'm still under adjustment period. It's not that easy."

"I know it's not that easy. Isn't that why you were put in this position? Because you're capable? Or is it just because of mommy and daddy?"

Dai Fang's muscles tensed. This idiot, he muttered in his mind. He laughed as if the CEO just made a joke. "My team will do better this week. You'll see."

"I'll get a satisfaction report from the IT team on Sunday. If you fail, I'll personally talk to the board about your incompetency and ask for your removal."

Dai Fang opened his mouth. "If you're mad about my sister—"

Qing Chen laughed. "I am not mad about your sister. It was a long time ago. This has nothing to do with her."

Dai Fang looked around the room. It was filled with light-colored balloons and bags of different products made mostly of sweets. "A lot of admirers? I take it the rumors are true then? Your wife is gone?"

Qing Chen rolled his eyes. "My marriage is none of your business. It's not anybody's business."

Dai Fang hid his hands behind him. "Where is she then?"

"Taking a detox from the city."

"Or from you?" Dai Fang chuckled and sent a warning glare at Qing Chen. "Women can't stand you, Chen. That's why Da Xia left."

"I don't really care about Da Xia," Qing Chen replied, looking down at the plans he needed to sign. "You're dismissed, Dai Fang."

**

Dai Fang almost threw the folder in the air and make the paper rain. He got into the elevator and dialed a number.

"Hello, sister?"
