Chapter 211 - Rosa Chiaro

Da Xia had not set an exact time for the press. She didn't want any leaks because she knew, if she spread all the details, Feng Xuan would try something horrendous to ruin her party. That was why the press was already outside her branch since the morning.

The VIP people and some of the handpicked people her mother got to cover the event had another invitation with the exact time.

Da Xia had been more than excited for her launch. Finally! This was a dream come true for her.

Yesterday, when they finished setting up the first physical store of Rosa Chiaro, it was as if she was going to start tearing up. But she was not a fan of showing emotions with other people around so she bit her lips to stop the tears from coming.

"You're going to have a great day tomorrow," her mother said. Da Xia could tell that her mother was proud just by the tone of her voice. "You should pay no mind to Qing Chen's wife. You'll find someone else to love."

From the corner of her eyes, Da Xia saw her mother reaching out to touch her hair but she moved out of the way. "What are you talking about? I do not love Qing Chen anymore."

Her mother only looked at her tiredly.

"I was the one who dropped him. I am not even sure I loved him," she said the last part quietly. Not sure if it was a fact or a lie. Sure, she had this massive crush on him before they were together. But throughout the four years of their relationship, it was as if Da Xia had only seen him as someone who could make her dreams come true.

But going overseas changed all that. She knew she could make it on her own. Here she was, with her own store.

It was her opening day and she couldn't be more proud of herself for finishing up all the garments that was needed for today. This was where all her sleepless nights went.

Da Xia had been annoyed when she found out just how little money The Kingly Empire had provided her. Surely, Feng Xuan and Wang Yimin got the luxury to spend a lot because it was their money they were spending. With limited budget, Da Xia was forced to think of other clever ways to parade her clothes.

It had been around ten minutes ago since the last model went out of the dressing room. She hired a host who finally announced her entrance. Da Xia put a smile on her lips and stepped out from the backstage, hearing the cheers and applause of many. She was wearing a sheer pink dress that ended in the middle of her thighs and hugged her torso. It had a deep v for a neckline and spaghetti straps that criss-crossed to her back and ended with a bow at the bottom of her spine.

She had been able to get a setup with a neon fashion runway. Every time the model would step, the lights would change and a white one would follow her—this was to avoid confusion with the colors of the garments. It was dark below the stage and she could hardly see the people who were covering the event. She had invited many celebrities and fashion experts, hoping they would give her a review.

At the side of the stage, there was a pink shimmering couch wherein she and the interviewer sat. She had fixed the questions herself, making it very broad so the press would no longer have that many questions regarding the brand.

"Are you ready to show the world Rosa Chiaro?" asked the host who was also wearing one of the dresses she had sewn.

"The world is already seeing Rosa Chiaro," she said and the lights dimmed. The huge screen on the stage lit up and broadcasted a live feed.

Da Xia's models were walking around The Kingly Hotel's premises. It was a straight line then every after few models, a runner would be giving away a small card to the people with the location of the store though it would not be completely necessary as there was already a line outside the branch.

She had let her designs be massed produced after she was finished with the actual outcome of the garment. She had been very hands on with the manufacturing of the copies of her work. Everyone sewing for her thought she was crazy, but she was not going to let one wrong stitch ruin her name.

The people who were watching started clapping when her first model appeared on the runway just in time. Da Xia's models held their heads high and their faces emotionless. An assistant had handed her a gadget that would help her track the social media engagements. The show was streaming live in Rosa Chiaro's page and it was getting a lot of interactions.

They were slowly rising to the trending list. Da Xia was still looking at the screen when she caught someone moving in the audience.

From the left side, a woman suddenly stood up and went outside, a phone pressed to her ear. A few seconds later, a man from the right side did the same thing. At the middle and farther part on the side of the runway, a few people left.

Da Xia's eyebrows furrowed. The others were starting to whisper amongst themselves. Some were checking their phones and whispered more.

Da Xia quickly gestured to the assistant for her phone. Once it was on her hands, she quickly went to the social media page of YANG and saw that it was live tweeting.

There was a picture of Qing Lok and Liu Meilien—a stolen shot with their arms linked together and they were both smiling, looking comfortable in their coats.

"A Day of Firsts has started with a very special guest!"

Da Xia's hands shook. "That bitch."
