Chapter 461 - That's All I Know

Qing Chen had never been the one to deliver a person's passing to another one. He did not think that it was that easy, how the words tumbled out of his mouth. What he could not imagine was the sudden weight that it would put Mr. Ola in.

He knew he should feel pity. But right now, Qing Chen was just pissed. "This could have all been avoided!"

"They… they had my wife and my son."

"You could've told me that before it was too late."

"I couldn't..." he breathed out. "They put a mic on my tooth."

Wuming scrambled upwards, pinching the man's cheek open while he looked inside. "Ah, they're getting creative, huh? How come you did not swallow that?"

"Loosen him up," ordered Qing Chen. Wuming cut the ties on the Mr. Ola's wrists and ankles.

"They took my family. There were men," Mr. Ola elaborated. "They've been keeping watch on us for the last two weeks. I couldn't say anything. I don't know how I was supposed to contact any of you without them knowing."

Qing Chen ran a hand through his hair.

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Qing. But they have my family. I can't—I couldn't do anything that could possibly kill them." Mr. Ola was speaking in between his sobbing.

Qing Chen felt a release of emotion. He was not supposed to be mad at this person. This man just lost his entire family. "You tell me everything that you know. You're going to avenge your family?"

"I can't do it," cried Mr. Ola, his swollen face was getting mashed together. "I can't avenge them. I can't—I can't live anymore. I don't want to live anymore. I cannot live without my family."

"You could have told us while you were here, you know?" Qing Chen said, refusing to take excuses. "You could've written it in paper before we started torturing you. Your wife and son might still be alive right now."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Qing. I was not thinking clearly."

"No need to apologize." Then with more compassion. "I'm sorry that you lost your family. I assure you that it would not be in vain. We're going to end La Hiena. You need to tell me what you know."

He passed a glass of water to the man and ordered for some ice for his face. But the man refused it when it arrived.

Mr. Ola recounted the story. It was a normal day in Circle. Word spread fast about the Qing's refusal to enter another contract with La Hiena. He already knew that there would be repercussions soon. He made sure to tighten the security in the place. Qing Lok also had just dropped by that night, making sure that everything was well and was by the book.

They closed at four in the morning and he went home. It was then that he found his wife and son tied to the bed posts with gags in their mouths. A gun was pressed against his back before he could react.

He was sat down by this man. He said that he was one of La Hiena's men here in Chengshi. He was foreign and was covered in tattoos. They forcefully installed a mic, broke one of his tooth to conceal it inside his mouth.

The man said that they were going to kill his wife if he would talk. That he needed to know what were the Qings doing and he should try to get more information as possible. He feared for his life and could not sleep as the men did not leave their home.

When he went to work that day, a man came with him. Another man dropped a bag and he was told that he needed to finish that bag in two weeks. He had to sell all of those drugs. The man that came with him looked through all the files that the Qings had.

Recently, he was being pressured to get more information up the ladder. He did not know who he was supposed to talk as the only people that he knew were the other managers of the other bars. He did not know how he could get through Qing Lok or Clown without alarming his captors.

Those men started beating his son and wife and he was forced to watch with a gun pressed against his head. They were making sure that he would not blink as his family cried. He finally let out the drugs in Circle. It sold well and they were almost through the whole bag.

Then Wuming came knocking to his door.

"You're telling me that one of their men was in the club while I was there?" Wuming asked.

"No," Mr. Ola answered. "They knew that I wouldn't dare disobey. They were all waiting for me whenever I came home for the past week. They knew that I would not try to do something stupid." His voice still cracked at some point. His eyes still bloodshot. But he was comprehensible. "That's all I know."

"Then they killed your family when they got the sense that you were taken here," Qing Chen finished. "They were going to escape. Do you know anyone whom they had a contact with the past week?"

Mr. Ola shook his head. "They didn't breathe a word about it to me."

Qing Chen nodded. "Get me Clown. I have orders." He already stood up and that was when Mr. Ola slid from his chair and knelt in front of him.

"Please, sir. Kill me. I don't want to live anymore," he started crying again. "My wife… my son… I want to join them."

"I'll do it," Qing Chen said. "Get me Clown. I'll meet you upstairs in a minute."
