Chapter 23 - New Job
This is the first time Zhao Li Xin angry for someone especially for woman, everyone in Hei Shen Sect knew he likes to keep his distance to woman as far as he could no matter how beautiful they are or talented or refined they are Zhao Li Xin never let them even touch his sleeve, one woman tried once and almost lost her hand but then she lost her cultivation instead since that no matter how brazen they are all of them keep their distance from him.
"I'm fine, really…..this is just a scratch" she calmed him down because he seems very distraught.
"How could you get hurt after I give you the amulet"Zhao Li Xin said with perplexed looks

Lory takes out her necklace, more Hei Shen peoples drop their jaw they can't believe his Lord gives away his creation easily like that to a woman who also didn't know anything about it, they become more curious what is his Lord relationship with the mysterious woman.
"Its protective amulet, it's should protect you for any harmed but....is it defective?" Zhao Li Xin baffled he never had defective creation before, maybe in his early years as Armament Master but for five years he never failed created anything so how could this happened.
"Really…..it's worked thought, it threw Lao Min Na ten meters away and make her unconscious"

Mong Ki and Mong Yi follow their Lord from behind they occasionally look each other they try to make sure they see the same thing, they even more shocked when he bring Lory not to guest room but to his owns room, they not the only one who shocked Lory also stunned this room is way too big for one person. They across two wooden moon gate partition cover with white curtains only then she can see his bed, the bed it's overly big even if four men like Zhao Li Xin sleep on it the bed still have enough space, he put her down gently on his bed then he told Mong Yi to prepare warm water in the basin for her and order Mong ki to prepare warmed soup for her.
"Your room is so big" Lory looked around with awed when Mong Ki and Mong Yi already left.
"It's normal for a Prince" Zhao Li Xin sits on the small tools besides the bed because the amulet is working the wound in Lory face gradually healed at least she's not as swollen as before but Zhao Li Xin still feel ached for her "Why is Lao Min Na hurting you?"
Lory glance at Zhao Li Xin once "She just crazy, that's all" she brushes it off, Lory not hated her or liked her but she understands her, Lao Min Na is the classic paranoid case, she's worried about anything, everything and everyone it's nothing personal. Is she wants avenged Lao Min Na after what she had done to her the answer 'Not really' not because she's kind but she just too damn lazy.

Inside the room Zhao Li Xin take out the green jade bottle he poured the essence to the basin then he dipped the towel to the basin after few seconds he squeezes the towel and folded it neatly "Press your wound with is,it will decrease your wound immediately" Zhao Li Xin give her the wet towel.
"Thank you" Lory accept the kind gesture, it's been a while someone treated her with care since she appears in this world other than the farmer family she met the first time she was sent to this place but even until now Lory never sure if their kindness is because they truly kind or fear for her but who could blamed them when they saw Lory with dark bluish hair, paled skin and purple eyes they might though she is a monster or something.
Not long after Mong ki also arrived with a tray full of food, just like Mong Yi he left right away after he served the food on the table and not forget to clean up too beforehand.
"Let's eat, yo need to eat first before you rest" Zhao Li Xin lead her to the dining table outside the wooden moon partition, he lifts the curtain for Lory, Lory giggle at him at said "You know, a woman should not eating before they sleep or they would get fat"
Zhao Li Xin frown "Nonsense, you too skinny" he disagrees.
Lory put her hand on her chest with grateful face "Ooh….thank you~"
Zhao Li Xin puzzled, it's not meant to be compliment he honestly thinks she's too skinny but she seems likes to be skinny, this is no good if she too skinny people might think he did not treat her well, what should he do? While Zhao Li Xin anxious with his owned though, Lory giggle remember her past when she prepares for the Royal Ball.
"The dress seems tight again Princess" Fredhard sighed with worry face.
"It's all because muscle not FAT!!"Lory rebuke strongly denied the reality on her face.
"......"Fredhard looking at her with pity makes Lory feel worse.
Then suddenly Lucas enters her room with loud 'Bang' at the door "You got FAT again huh?" he said casually as if he already expect it.
"Don't worry princess you still look cute" Jay comforting her but only make her feel sadder because she is actually gain weight….but just a little.
"I think you look fine….."Clift also joined in, he gazes at Lory's arms then he sighed. Lory almost burst into tears.
"Hey, guys hurry up, The King already on the way down!" Fargo opened the door roughly then he stares at Lory "Damn, the camera will put more weight on you…....." he looks disappointed before he left without guilt.
"....."Everyone did not dare to comment, while the Princess face become redder than tomato.
"I WON'T GO OUT ANYMORE!!!" Lory screaming and run to the bathroom and locked herself inside, while the other tried to coax her to go out "Come on princess, that's only a muscle isn't it" Fred try to cheer her.

Another loud crying was heard inside the bathroom, all of them glare at Jay with blaming look, Jay smile awkwardly.
after a few hours the King enter Lory's room and coaxed his daughter personally only after that she eventually got out, it's embarrassing how childish she is at that time but she is only thirteen years old when that happening.
"You not eating?" Zhao Li Xin suddenly asked.
His voice awakes her from her dazed "I'am…." She scoops the soup to her bowl fortunately, Zhao Li Xin only served her with bird nest soup so she won't be too full when she's sleeping "It's good" Lory praised whoever made this soup, this very tasty she never eat bird nest food before.
"You like it?" Zhao Li Xin sees her eat with gusto make him happy but also sad at the same time, it's just simple soup, it seems her life in Lao Manor might be worst than he though, Zhao Li Xin become more and more displeased with Lao Family. If only Prime Minister Lao knew he made the leader of Hei Shen sect angry just because of a mere soup, what kinda face he would make then?
"Eat slowly, if you wanted you can eat this soup anytime you want"
"Really, thank you" Lory smiled brightly "You know, I'm actually a foodie I like good food, good drink and good restaurant I can travel to the whole world to taste all the delicacy" Lory said with glittering eyes, she does have traveled around the world to tried a lot of different food when she worked as The Royal Ambassador or hide her identity as a Beast Hunter.
"If you stay with me, you can taste any food you wanted in this world" Zhao Li Xin threw his bait on the open.
"Oh yes, you offered me a job before…." Lory just remembered their last conversation "So…..is the offering still on the table?" she asked hopefully. Working with Zhao Li Xin seems not so bad she got a higher salary, better living conditions judged by how he treated her all this time and the food.....he will allow her to eat anything, that's AWESOME!!

"You will work as my personal maid, that means is you will accompany me everywhere I go, you will be stuck with me from now on you cannot leave until I said so and you cannot married until I allowed you to of course you also forbidden to talked or get too closed with Men, do you understand?" he said with firmly.
