16 Reaching the elven village!

I pointed my stave towards the goblin with full health and activated the skill that I just used, >. My stave once again got enveloped in a faint golden glow and the words which I needed to speak floated up in my head. Witch each spoken word, my stave shone brighter and brighter and then a golden blast shot out of it and towards the goblin.

The hit goblin stopped in its tracks. "I am going to kill you! *Kikiki!*" it shouted before charging towards me again.

I looked at the other goblin as it was going to reach me first.

>

>

"Die! *Kikiki!*" it shouted out as it pierced towards my stomach with its claws and I slashed down with my two-handed sword.

Just like the last time, my attack was the first one to connect. But this time it was not a critical strike as my right-handed attacks had only 50% critical strike chance.

>

That said, the damage which I dealt was more than enough to kill it and it fell down to the ground, dead.

A series of notification messages flashed in front of me. Amongst them, there were those of levelling up.

As the last notification message flashed in front of me, the other goblin reached me.

"*Kikiki!* Die! *Kikiki!*" it shouted out as it pierced towards my stomach with its claws and I slashed down with my stave.

And just like the last two times, my attack was the first one to connect. But this time it was a critical strike as again my left-handed attacks had over 100% critical strike chance.

"You are amazing, big sister Astrid," Faylen said.

Looking back, I saw Faylen looking at me with eyes full of wonder while standing and holding onto my apprentice sorcerer's robe. I patted her dark-green head with my right hand as I said, "Good girl. You didn't shout or scream and most importantly, you didn't take a single step from my side."

"Hehehe," Faylen giggled. Then, she let go of my apprentice sorcerer's robe and walked up to my side.

I nodded my head and looked at one of the goblins.

"Are you going to loot them, big sister Astrid?"

"Yes."

"Can I loot them?"

I looked at Faylen. 'I wonder if she can. In some games, NPCs can loot the monster that the player had killed,' I thought to myself and nodded my head.

Faylen smiled and walked up to one of the goblins. She squatted down, touched its corpse and a few seconds later stood up. Then, she walked up to the other goblin and did the same. And finally, she walked back to me and opened her palms. "They dropped 20 copper coins each," she said as she showed all 40 copper coins.

I extended my arm and opened my hand. She poured all the coins into my hand and a notification message flashed in front of me.

>

Faylen's eyes widened. "Where did they go?"

"Don't worry. I got them."

"Ah, okay."

"Let's go."

"Okay, big sister Astrid," Faylen said and we continued towards her village. But before we saw its wooden gates, we came across 42 more goblins which I all killed and Faylen looted. After killing them, my shrine maiden class went up 9 levels going from > to >. And after Faylen looted them, I got 8 silver and 40 copper coins.

On each side of the elven village gates, I saw two goblins and they were just like all the other goblins that I encountered in this forest.

Looking into the elven village past the four goblins, I frowned as I saw a familiar sight, but instead of the wolves, I saw the elves.

"You are frowning deeply, big sister Astrid. What's wrong?"

"Nothing can prepare you for what you will see in your village. But try to steel yourself."

Faylen gulped down her saliva and looked down at the ground below her feet. Then, she raised her head, looked at me and nodded her head.

"Good girl," I said as I patted her dark-green head with my right hand.

"Mhm."

"Before we enter your village and kill all the goblins inside it, I first have to do a few things."

"What are you going to do, big sister Astrid?"

"I am just going to prepare myself."

"Ah, okay," Faylen said as she nodded her head.

I opened the menu and from it my character.

Looking over my attributes, I allocated 30 points into Strength, 10 point into Dexterity, 20 point into Intellect, 20 points into Constitution, 10 point into Spirit and the last 10 points into Charisma.

I looked over my changed attributes.

I closed my character window and opened my talents. I saw that I had four talent specialisation choices for my shrine maiden class and I looked over them.

I selected the huntress of the demonic specialisation for my shrine maiden class as it was the only talent specialisation that also strengthened my tyrant class.
