Ji Yuan had pretended to faint in order to evade all the explaining by fainting all of a sudden.

Now he and his party were continuing their way again in search of a new trial.

He was slightly startled that no one questioned him after he had 'waked' up again.

Ling Feiyue was the first one to pull him aside to whisper, "Next time, I want to try as well."

Little Princess was the second one to pull him aside to whisper, "Do you remember the rough games that we have played in the past?"

Bai Qianfeng was the third to pull him aside to whisper, "My lord, if you want to do something exciting, I don't mind at all."

Ji Yuan was stunned by their secret whispers.

They don't blame me? And they want it rough too?!

Shui Xisi did not talk to him for several days as she was too awkward to talk to him for the time being.

Ji Yuan could only mutter weakly, "Well, it is you that didn't want to talk to me for the time being so that is why I can't make love to you every day. So don't blame me for not keeping my promise to you."

As for Feng Minyue, she did not talk to Ji Yuan either and had merely smiled gently toward him as though he was just any ordinary friend.

Yu Jingjing however had taken Ji Yuan aside and she had said to him, "I know that the Water Melody Palace, along with the Hundred Flower Divine Palace and the Evil Cultivation Palace are three of the most powerful heretic celestial sects in the Desolate Celestial Fraternity."

"And I've heard that this Maiden Shui is the matriarch of the Water Melody Palace. Even though the Water Melody Palace isn't as well known as the Hundred Flower Divine Palace or the Evil Cultivation Palace but it is powerful nevertheless. I can totally understand why you are under the heretic influence of the Water Melody Palace."

"I can help you Ji Yuan. Please tell me if you need my help to fight her together. I am willing to fight for your freedom."

Ji Yuan was most afraid of the naïve maidens like Shui Qingqing and Yu Jingjing.

So he decided to be honest with her, "Actually Sisi and I are lovers. We are not real enemies."

Yu Jingjing was stunned with disbelief, "You're really not enemies?"

Ji Yuan explained, "Do you trust Maiden Feng? She and Sisi are the best of friends in our party. If Sisi really wants to hurt me, I may not be her match."

Yu Jingjing was startled, "She is stronger than you?"

Ji Yuan laughed weakly, "Can't you see that she is only here to play?"

Indeed Shui Xisi seemed to have the lightest mood in the party, even lighter than Bai Qianfeng. She did not seem to have any fear of the forthcoming dangers and always have a jovial mood.

Ji Yuan laughed, "I actually feel safer when Sisi is around me. Haha. It is as though nothing bad will happen if she is around."

A few days later, they had traveled through the desolate valley below and had come to a misty mountainous region.

Ji Yuan noted that the way was now more treacherous and more difficult as compared to the lower levels.

However the spiritual force here was actually much richer than the lower level and the saint cultivators were no longer restricted in their profound strength recovery.

The lower levels had made it much harder for the high realm cultivators to recover their profound strength in order to narrow down the disparity between the lower and higher realm cultivators.

This time they had found the next trial quite easily because there was a more noticeable pillar of visible spirit force from afar.

Therefore they had quickly climbed up to the misty mountains until they had arrived at a large white platform.

At the end of the platform was a portal but there was no black stele.

Instead three spirit old men were sitting next to the portal; one with black hair, one with white hair and the other had green hair.

As Ji Yuan and his party had approached them, the three spirit old men said at the same time. "Yet another group has come. This group seems worse than the last group."

Immediately he sped ahead and asked, "Are you the trial spirits? So what is the trial? I'll surely pass with flying colors."

Ling Feiyue was also saying with great indignant, "We are worse than the previous group? Don't use your colored eyes to look down upon us. We are the top cultivators from our celestial fraternity!"

Even Bai Qianfeng was humming, "What is so difficult about a fifth level trial?"

Shui Xisi chuckled, "You can make it even harder for us and we won't even bat an eyelid."

All of sudden she noticed that Ji Yuan was frowning at her and so were the other maidens; they were just arguing back with hot air and were not serious.

So she quickly smiled back, "I was just joking."

Ji Yuan smiled weakly before he said to the three spirit old men, "What is this trial all about? Why is there no black stele?"

The three spirit old men all answered at the same time, "You can ask us about the trial information."

The grey head old man said, "This trial is an intellectual trial and 99.9% of the cultivators did not make it through this trial."

Ji Yuan laughed, "I happen to be the intellectual type. So are there any cultivators that are ahead of us that have already completed this trial?"

The black head old man shook his head, "None whatever so."

Ji Yuan roared with laughter, "Then I will be the first to clear it. So what is this trial all about?"

The green head old man replied, "You will only know once you're inside the trial."

"What if I were to regret after entering the portal? What if this trial is an impossible trial and I were to die inside?" Ji Yuan smiled bitterly.

The white head old man smiled coldly, "This is an intellectual trial so none of you will ever die inside. However, you've only one chance to overcome this trial."

Ji Yuan and the maidens in his party were all muttering, "Only a single chance…"

Ling Feiyue refused to be back down so she smiled, "Since this is an intellectual trial and we are all the smartest maidens in our celestial fraternity, so why don't we attempt this trial?"

"Spirit entities won't lie. So even if we fail this trial, we won't die." Little Princess pointed it out.

Bai Qianfeng nodded, "Since we are already here, we may as well take this trial. What do the rest of you think?"

The rest of you actually referred to Shui Xisi, Yu Jingjing and Feng Minyue.

Shui Xisi chuckled, "I am best known for my intellectual actually. I am taking this trial!"

When she had said that, everyone rolled their eyes awkwardly when they remembered the number of times she tried very hard to be Ji Yuan's enemy but was actually flirting with him. In her latest screw up, she did not even realize that the valley that she was in could actually carry her moaning sounds to all the nearby vicinity.

Yu Jingjing said coolly, "That is weird. I am also a smart maiden."

Ji Yuan almost coughed out when he had heard her but he managed to keep his mouth shut.

Feng Minyue said gently, "The intellectual trial may be as tough as the standard trials. Also the rate of failure seems to be a little too high here…"

"We are the 0.1%." Ji Yuan interrupted with a loud chuckle.

He began to walk proudly toward the portal, "I happen to be a cultivator with brains. Haha…"

All the other maidens were all looking awkwardly at one another, not knowing what to say.

But all except for one and Yu Jingjing was the only one who was nodding while muttering to herself. "Hero Ji Yuan is the smartest cultivator that I've ever known."
