Chapter 659 The Boundless Sovereign Demon God



Room 24 had 26 portals, 6 on the left and 8 in the middle and 12 on the right. 

The canvas imagery showed the Boundless Sovereign Demon God standing on a mountain peak and a veiled Great Beyond Goddess was fluttering in the air above and powerful golden profound seals were ringing around her, displaying a multiple of runic profound circles all around her. 

They were facing each other in a stand off and were looking at each other intently. 

Because this was a canvas imagery and on top of a top, they were looking intently at each other and were not looking at any of the portals. Even the demonic sword of the Boundless Sovereign Demon God was pointing at the Great Beyond Goddess.

Grand Holy Saintess Qi Yuexing looked perplexed when she saw the canvas imagery while Old Reverend Beiyuan was laughing at her and saying, "Hohoho. Find the right portal, my genius junior protégé sister."

Grand Holy Saintess Qi Yuexing: …

But she slowly answered coldly, "I need some time to think…"

Yun Chi was in awe of the canvas imagery and she said to Bai Qianfeng, "Did you see that? The Great Beyond Goddess is already capable of using 12 profound circles as profound seals back in those days. Just how strong is she? Is she the strongest God Immortal from Beyond?"

Bai Qianfeng nodded slowly, "Even the strongest immortal is only capable of using only 2 immortal profound seals. But most of us can only use one. She is capable of using 12 and I can only recognize two of the profound seals. But these are greater immortal profound seals and beyond my understandings…"

Yun Chi nodded slowly, "She is definitely a top power cultivator. You know that the Great Demon God's secret weapon is that he is capable of using 3 immortal profound seals and that is why he is far stronger than any of the immortals. Even though I am ranked in the same peak as him but I am really unsure if I can best him on my own. I don't want to risk that."

Each of the 3 Great Desolate Gods of the Desolate Divine Realm had their own powerful strength but none of them were willing to go all out on their trump cards. 

Ji Yuan interrupted them, "If so, it is no wonder that this ugly grand daddy of demons will be killed by the Great Beyond Goddess. He doesn't even have anything except for his demonic sword."

Old Reverend Beiyuan growled behind Ji Yuan, "Young celestial. What do you know of the strength of the True Devil God? Did you know that during the final battle, he killed all the other Immortal Gods?"

Ji Yuan turned to look at him with a perplexed look, "Then what are you? Aren't you an Immortal God too?"



Old Reverend Beiyuan laughed jovially, "My mistress told me that the 7 of us are all recreated from the remnants of the Immortal Gods' souls that she could still find. She is the only True Immortal God that is from the beginning of time."

Ji Yuan blinked his golden eyes; he didn't know about this.





Even Yun Chi and Bai Qianfeng were listening with interest; it was because they actually know very little about the Beyond Divine Realm. Therefore, whatever little information that they could gather was important to them. 

Shui Xisi asked curiously, "Is this True Devil God really so strong with his sword?"

Old Reverend Beiyuan stroked his beard before saying, "Strong? He is impossible strong! I've forgotten that at your cultivation attainment, you can't see his sword domains and his devil's sword intentions. He can rip you apart just with his gaze alone!"

Ji Yuan shrugged his shoulders and laughed, "He is still an ugly fellow that hides behind his mask. Moreover, he is already dead."

Then he suddenly asked out of the blue, "Actually I am more interested to know what the Great Beyond Goddess looks like behind her veil. I've only caught a glimpse of her but I can tell that she is really beautiful."

This was the truth; Dream Mist was very careful not to completely allow anyone to see her full face and he could only see glimpses of her beautiful features. 

All of a sudden Old Reverend Beiyuan and Grand Holy Saintess Qi Yuexing had a really big reaction as they gasped together, "You have seen our great mistress?!"

Ji Yuan frowned, "Of course. Didn't I tell you before that I am a friend of your great mistress?"

Old Reverend Beiyuan flew into a rage, "I know that you are a friend of my great mistress and also have the Goddess Tear but you are not allowed to look at her face!"

Ji Yuan frowned with an ugly look, "Why not?"

Old Reverend Beiyuan stammered with rage, "That is because it is forbidden! Forbidden! Don't you understand that this is forbidden?! Once I had tried to peep at her and I had to nurse my cultivation back from a whole minor positioning after she had nearly killed me!"

Ji Yuan frowned, "Surely your great mistress isn't that petty right? She looks alright to me. I have even kissed her on her lips, Hahaha…"

Grand Saintess Qi Yuexing took a step backward and she stammered, "You did what…"

Old Reverend Beiyuan was seething with rage and he was shouting angrily, "You have kissed my great mistress?!!!"

When he had shouted, his profound echo began to ripple throughout the golden hallway causing Ji Yuan and his group to take several steps backward. 

"This is impossible! IMPOSSIBLE!!!" Old Reverend Beiyuan was seething with rage. "If you really do, then you should be dead by now!"

Ji Yuan coughed out weakly and he could feel that his profound energies within his body had been disrupted by Old Reverend Beiyuan. If Old Reverend Beiyuan continued to shout like this then it would only be a matter of time before he and his group would be coughing out blood. But he would be the first since his cultivation foundation was the weakest among Yun Chi, Bai Qianfeng, Shui Xisi and the Lovely Empress.

So he quickly said, "Hold it there! I was only kidding. I've only kissed your great mistress in my dreams. This is just my male fantasies. Surely you have the same dream as well, right?"

Old Reverend Beiyuan seemed to have calmed down almost immediately but he was stammering, "Of course not! I have… the fullest respect for my… great mistress!"

Ji Yuan rolled his golden eyes and said to Xiang Li and Anyang in his soul sea: He is lying…

Shui Xisi was also rolling her golden eyes and thought: He is definitely lying…

The Lovely Empress and Shui Xisi were both thinking: He is lying for sure…

Yun Chi weakly thought: All men are beasts in their hearts in front of a beautiful maiden…

Grand Saintess Qi Yuexing was looking annoyed and she was thinking: How dare you have such thoughts on our great mistress…

Old Reverend Beiyuan was not stupid. In fact, he could see that everyone including Grand Holy Saintess Qi Yuexing was suddenly quiet but they were all staring at him and they seemed to be thinking about something.

And he could also see the annoyed look that was on Grand Holy Saintess Qi Yuexing.

So he quickly tried to distract everyone by saying out loud, "Well, let me tell you about the Great Beyond Realm where I am from. The reason why it is called the Great Beyond is because it is the furthest place in the universe and you can't reach it unless you have reached true divinity. It is also the most untainted place in the entire universe and it is where my great mistress dwells…"

Author Note:

1. I've finally reached this part of the main story arc. This is something that I have wanted to write the longest time. This main story arc actually consists of multiple important arcs that are quite difficult to write and pieced together. (You shall see later why). The next important part will be in the next chapter. After I had broke my arc and got covid a few months ago, I kinda didn't put to pieces this part yet and got writer block. But now, my head is clear after a period of rest. 

2. The entire story of The Romantic Cultivator consists of many plot writing so it is harder to write than most cultivation stories and is of much faster pacing. So there is many planning ahead instead of just writing. Although the story may be slow but I need to ensure that it is of quality writing. 

3. Some of you may have already felt that many of the chapters in The Romantic Cultivator only cost 1 pass but it seems to be longer than most 1 pass chapter. That is because I have purposely stopped at around 1.3k words per chapter. 1.5k words chapter cost 2 pass. 2k words cost 3 pass.

Usually if there are 2 chapters update, the total words count is ard 2.6k, or 4 pass in total. This is to keep the chapters easy to access for most readers rather than write for the sake of writing.

And 2 pass chapters are actually closer to most 3 pass chapters.
