Chapter 207

PHA – Chapter 207 – Villa Demolishing Specialist

Alice did not answer. However, her following actions were already enough to give Andusia the best answer to her question.

Shortly after Andusia finished asking her question, Alice could be seen reaching into the pouch hanging by her waist, pulling out a gorgeous weapon box, and opening the box’s lock with a flick of her finger. Then, followed by a burst of space-distorting power, an exquisite longsword emerged from the weapon box and floated by Alice’s side.

Subsequently, under Andusia’s surprised and angry expression, Alice gripped the sword’s hilt with her right hand. Then, a frightening amount of mana instantly burst from Alice’s body, the overflowing mana pushing the surrounding furniture away and creating a small clearing in the living room.

“Hero’s Sword—Light,” Andusia said, gnashing her teeth as she spoke out the name of the Hero’s Sword during her era.

It would seem that the Ninth Hero had named their Hero’s Sword “Light.” It was a simple but pleasant name. At the very least, it was much better than the names of “Okay” and “What the Fuck” that Alice and the pitiful Eighth Hero Miller had given to their Hero’s Sword.

This wasn’t so surprising, though. After all, when the person chosen by God to become the Hero first wielded the Hero’s Sword, the procedure to name the Hero’s Sword would be conveyed to them immediately. Alice and the Eighth Hero were outliers because Alice wasn’t actually a Hero, while the Eighth Hero had accidentally named the Hero’s Sword due to his surprise.

“I see. You are the Hero of this generation. So that’s why you managed to undo my taboo.” At this point, Andusia realized that it was no longer possible to reach a common ground with Alice. With a fierce look on her face, she asked, “Looking at your age, you are, at most, thirteen or fourteen years old, right?”

“Probably. What’s the problem?”

Alice became a lot more confident now after experiencing the feeling of having all of her stats boosted significantly. So, not only did she relax her tensed body a little, but she even spoke in a more carefree manner.

“Both Heroes and Demon Kings require time to train. Since you are so young, you probably haven’t done much growing up yet, right?” Andusia said with a sneer. Despite having the appearance of a warrior of justice, the words that came out of her mouth sounded like they belonged to a villain. “Then, let this be the end of your career as a Hero! You bastard!!!”

As Andusia’s voice fell, a terrifying electric current escaped from the figurine and transformed into a huge lightning spear that shot straight in Alice’s direction!

Alice promptly recognized the identity of Andusia’s attack. It was a taboo with the lightning attribute, which was derived from the wind attribute, and the taboo’s name was “Thunder God’s Punishment.” There was a record of the taboo in the March Academy’s library. Apparently, several of the taboo’s formulas were being used in electric-powered mana plants to supply mana to countless household magic tools.

However, Andusia evidently lacked the ability to cast the complete version of the taboo. Not only was the auxiliary lightning grid that was supposed to surround the lightning spear nowhere to be seen, but the lightning spear’s destructive power had also been reduced from a large-area bombardment to a pinpoint attack.

Judging by the lightning spear’s condition, Alice guessed that Andusia had only recovered enough strength to just barely be able to cast taboos. After all, Andusia had already proven that she could cast complete versions of taboos by casting the complete Sunset Bug Erosion on Marion. Yet, here she was, using only a simplified version of Thunder God’s Punishment. This meant that she needed some time to cast complete taboos and couldn’t use them in the heat of battle.

Unlike Andusia, Alice didn’t bother with any battle cries. Instead, she silently cast the taboo “Wind’s Memory,” relying on the power of wind to divert the mana making up the lightning spear. Then, the lightning spear directed at Alice’s chest could be seen changing trajectory and harmlessly brushing past Alice’s body.

Subsequently, accompanied by a deafening explosion, the lightning spear transformed into a thick column of electricity and blasted a huge hole in the wall behind Alice. Even the villa shook quite a bit under the lightning spear’s destructive power. Naturally, the already messy living room was turned into an even bigger mess.

After the shaking settled, Alice could hear the sound of a twisting doorknob coming from upstairs, coupled with Rosa’s shouting voice. However, Alice had already sealed the door to Marion’s room shut with psychokinesis before she came downstairs. Otherwise, if Rosa and Marion were to appear downstairs at this time, there was a high possibility that they might become Andusia’s hostages.

Fortunately, Andusia did not show any heed to the noise coming from upstairs. Instead, she focused her gaze on Alice, a frown forming on her face when she saw the little girl effortlessly using Wind’s Memory to divert her mana.

Originally, Andusia thought that Alice was a Hero who had yet to become fully developed. However, it would seem that she had underestimated her opponent a little too much. Even if Alice had yet to fully mature as a Hero, her current strength could not be underestimated.

“I didn’t think you would already possess such strength. It seems I have underestimated you.”

After saying so, Andusia raised her hand and summoned a ball of shadows. As soon as Andusia did so, Alice could feel the mana in the air growing restless and starting to gather in the palm of Andusia’s hand.

Seeing this, Alice quickly understood how Andusia could cast complete taboos even without a real body—it was because she had developed her gravitational magic to the extremes. Andusia’s gravitational magic was so powerful that she could even gather the mana in the air.

“Do you think I’ll just stand here and let you gather your mana?” Alice naturally wouldn’t stand still like a fool and watch as Andusia gathered mana. Immediately, she raised the Hero’s Sword and swung it in Andusia’s direction while shouting, “Okay!!!”

Dammit! Why must executing Holy Cross Slash be so embarrassing every time!

Amidst Alice’s depressed mood, a cross composed of two rays of light slashed straight at Andusia, the attack causing Andusia’s expression to change a little.

Andusia naturally recognized this movie. It was the “Holy Cross Slash” that almost every Hero of past generations could learn through the Hero’s Sword. It was an incredibly powerful move. Back when she was fighting against the Ninth Hero, whenever the other party shouted “Light,” this cross-slash would follow.

Hurriedly, Andusia concentrated the mana she had gathered thus far before spreading it across her body. Then, she shouted:

“Dragon’s Shadow!!!”

A black dragon composed of dense mana appeared and destroyed the entire villa in the blink of an eye. Then, the black dragon spread its massive wings and used them to stop the oncoming Holy Cross Slash.
