Chapter 157 - Truth?

And why Alexander did so? It was solely because he was a Long, the only ancestry they had declared as enemies from the time they had taken the oath. The original purpose of the marriage of ameliorating the animosity between the two families was not achieved yet. Though the two bosses were trying their best, it was still not simple to change the mindset of the soldiers under them. They still consider each other their sole enemy. It was something Long Jie and Zhenyi had to alleviate once she woke up because if it continued, they might face a rebellion in their army soon.

Watching Long Jie deep in thought, Alexander continued," Save yourself from her attack before you avenge her. She knows about that enemy and this is the only reason she is back in this country. You may not know but she hated this country to the core."

He laughed wickedly. " And for a second, you really thought she married you because her grandfather is dying and it was his death wish? True, she cared for her family a lot but above all, she loves herself the most. You are a means to end, Long Jie. She will toss you out of her life once her goal is achieved. She is Xin Zhenyi, Long Jie. The ruthless and merciless Xin Zhenyi."

Long Jie inwardly shook his head at his idiocy. One of the rules of the organization was never to snitch on your brothers and most importantly the boss. It seemed like he had to get rid of him now at any cost, not like he was not planning on it initially but still. He wondered if he had any rat like the one in from of him.

Alexander laughed loudly as if he had lost all of his sanity.

Tuk!

His eyes widened in disbelief and incredulity as he felt what just happened. His hand followed where Long Jie had hit him. He held up his hand and the deep red graced his eyes.

Blood. It was his blood. He stabbed him.

"You--"

"I told you that I will see you bleed to death and these days I am truly keeping my words," said Long Jie as he looked dead into his eyes. The fountain pen was spinning on Long Jie's fingers one second but was stabbed in Alexander's neck, the other. He pulled it out forcibly and shoved it again without any mercy. His barbarity was quite evident.

"Do you know what was my first weapon?" questioned Long Jie as he stared into his eyes with monstrosity.

" The fountain pen," Long Jie answered his question himself. He shoved it into his neck again. "And you do you know who he was?"

"Of course, you don't." Long Jie grinned viciously, his gray eyes turning red. " My doctor or that's what my grandfather and mother called him, but in reality, he was a monster who destroyed two innocent children and so, I freed the earth from the weight of such a scum. He was God's biggest mistake and I corrected it by killing him just like what I am doing now."

"You think a pen can kill me?" Alexander managed to say.

"Let me be the judge of it," the answer came.

"How did you would my bodyguards?" questioned Long Jie.

" It was not difficult." Alexander scoffed. "I might have released something in the air. And when they realized what had happened to them, the damage was done and there was no going back."

"You are a stain on the name of loyalty."

Alexander smiled painfully. "I never meant to kill her. Hurt? yes. I know someone will protect her like always. There is one --no two external forces which are protecting her. I'm the head of the security and thus I can easily recognize which soldier is ours and which is not because I personally handpicked and trained with each of  them."

Long Jie was quiet for a moment, complicated emotions were swimming in his eyes as he heard him. He had noticed it. On the day of the wedding, the assailant was not noticed by their soldiers or even Xin soldiers but she was saved in the end moment and not even a scratch marred her skin. Not that he wanted her to be hurt but it still troubles him sometimes.

"She is invincible as long as those two forces are protecting her but no one knows who they are, perhaps not even her," he added.

Long Jie didn't know why he was telling him all of these confidential details because he was not supposed to.

"Shoot me and pull me out of this misery," Alexander pleaded.

Long Jie shook his head. " No, you will bleed to death. I want you to feel the same pain she is experiencing now just because you were too scared to come to her and ask for help."

"Goodbye, Alexander. I hope we never meet again." With this Long Jie was gone but not before pulling that pen out of his neck and taking it with him.

"Sir!" The subordinate bowed as he saw Long Jue coming out of the building and opened the door to the car.

"Tell Gu Tian to finish the job," said Long Jie as he sat inside the Car.

"Dig into his records and raid his apartment," he ordered. "Make sure nothing passes your eyes. Not even a tiny thing."

He was sure there had to be something that would lead them to the enemy and the real culprit behind the accident. And very soon he would catch him. If he knew how to play the games, then so be it. He would tell him how the game is really played. And as they said two could play the game.
