Chapter 332 - Just One Thing In Return

"What was she saying?" Ryuu asked Alcina with narrowed eyes once he laid a sleeping Faye beside him. 

"Why don't you ask your sister?" She replied, annoyed. Keeping her laptop aside, she sat on the couch and started reading the mail that Zhenyi sent earlier. 

Alcina didn't notice when Ryuu appeared behind her and snatched the phone out of her hands. 

"What the f*ck are you doing?"Alcina whispered. 

"Curse and see how I spank you!"

Alcina immediately shut her mouth. She couldn't understand what was his animosity with cussing. 

"What's this?" Ryuu's hand trembled in anger when he read the information on the phone. "You are going on a damned blind date?"

"So much for cursing, Ryuu!"

"Why are you doing this?" He asked her. Well, more like snapped at her. 

"This. Blind date. And shit." 

"My life does not just revolve around you. I'm twenty-eight. Alone and exhausted. I need a break from life. No, I need a life. Like a real life." 

Listening to Alcina's mocking words, Ryuu knew that he had royally fucked up. But more than that, he was getting infuriated with her attitude. 

For once why couldn't she use her lethal brain and understand what's wrong with her? 

Was it too difficult for her to agree that she indeed feels something for him? 

Ryuu's lips curled up slightly, mocking himself. 

"Very well, Cia. You can go on a blind date. I do not care just like you don't care about anyone. As for my daughter… I would be damned before I let someone be her dad or stepdad."

In the evening, the following day at Tang Palace. 

A lady alighted from the black car and entered the threshold of the Tang Palace. As the oversized glasses were removed from her eyes, people who were walking by stopped and stared at her with hearty eyes. 

"Lord Ryuu?" She asked the butler in a soft tone who showed her the way towards his room. 

The butler signaled the staff to mind their own work if they didn't wish to be fired. 

Ryuu who was dozing off opened his eyes quickly as he heard someone entering his room. Looking at the person coming into the room, he narrowed his eyes but the other party didn't flinch under his sharp gaze. The kitten has grown claws, he let out in his mind. 

"I didn't know that meeting you was more difficult than meeting the president of the country," She said while occupying the couch where Alcina was sitting yesterday. 

"I can ask my assistant to get you the appointment of the president if you wish," replied Ryuu. 

"Hah. Who wants to meet the President?" Xiuying said. Grinning, she continued, "I'm here to meet my husband. Aren't you happy to see me here, Hubby?" 

Upon hearing her words, Ryuu burst out laughing. Thank God, Alcina was not here or else he didn't know what she would have done to his poor legal wife. 

"Did I just crack a joke?" Xiuying asked with a pout. 

"Count your lucky stars that she is not here or I wouldn't be able to save you from her wrath, " Ryuu said to her with a hint of amusement in his voice. 

Xiuying's face darkened after hearing those words.

"She should count the lucky stars that I haven't killed her yet. That shameless woman had destroyed my whole life. If it wasn't for her jealousy, I wouldn't have been suffering like that." 

"Stop," said Ryuu. "You can't blame her, Xiuying. Even if she shouldn't have meddled, your life was a mess already. She just unknowingly gives a push to prepone the destruction awaiting for you." 

Xiuying was rendered speechless by his tone. Wasn't the man getting possessive over a woman?

"What?" Ryuu asked her when he noticed that she was staring at him creepily.

"You just shattered your reputation that I have painstakingly weaved in my heart. Sigh. Where is the cold and dangerous man who I met on the first day? Who is this softie?"Xiuying dramatically asked.

"If you don't tell me the purpose of your visit immediately, the cold and dangerous man will come out," Ryuu said with a straight face. 

"You are no fun, husband," Xiuying said with a chuckle. 

"Call me husband one more time, see what happens…" 

Ryuu's eyes were a little red and his whole body was shaking with indescribable anger. Xiuying shook her head in irony. How come that stupid woman didn't see this man who was ready to sacrifice himself just for her? Was she so blind to his obvious feelings? It was clearly written on his face that he was ready to wreak havoc if meant to get her. She had seen it the first day she met him, but why can't Alcina? 

"Here," Xiuying passed him something. "My dear older brother is plotting something against you. He thought that your men would not uncover the bugs he had implanted in my things. And he was insisting on inviting you to a family dinner. Don't worry, I know why he wants you there." 

"And how do you know?" Ryuu raised his brow. 

Xiuying smiled before showing him something. "If he can implant bugs in my stuff, then why can't I? The only difference between our bugs is that his were easily detectable and ours won't be detectable to naked eyes."She paused and then added," You can hear their chats on this device. Your assistant provided me with all the important devices." 

"You surpassed my expectations, Xiuying." Ryuu wasn't stingy with praise. 

Xiuying's eyes turned red as she asked, "Any news on him?"

Ryuu paused for a moment. He didn't know what to say to her. She was doing everything according to his orders just in return for one thing and he was failing in locating that thing.

"We are trying to locate him, Xiuying. But there are no traces of his vanishing.. It's as if someone doesn't want him to be found," Ryuu replied with a frustrated tone. "Do you suspect anyone from the Huo family? Who do you think can be responsible for Huo Yusheng's sudden disappearance?"
