CH 25.1

Two people sat at the table in silence. Finally, Benjamin spoke first.

“…It’s a nice day.”

“Yes, it’s a nice day,”

Grace replied dryly.

On the tea table covered with a white tablecloth, there were beautiful teapots, teacups, and a few types of pastries.

Grace looked down at the chubby hand resting on her thigh.

“….”

‘Wait, is it right to say chubby?’

Certainly, even if she lost a lot of weight, she could never be like the protagonist, Aria. From the very beginning, their basic appearances were different.

However, Grace straightened her posture.

No matter how much her mood was rolling in turmoil, she didn’t want to feel ashamed of her appearance.

Grace tried her best to appear confident, even if it was just a little bit.

If it were the original Grace, she would have hunched her shoulders and wrapped herself tightly in clothes to hide her large body.

She would have chosen only dark-colored clothes to appear slimmer, and she wouldn’t have even dared to try on beautiful clothes that didn’t suit her.

‘Yet, she still liked it and kept it hidden in her closet.’

A foolish woman.

The current Grace inwardly criticized the original Grace.

In fact, it was also self-criticism.

“Recently, it seems that My Lady has been going out a lot.”

“….”

“It’s not a bad thing. It’s just about that day….”

Benjamin hesitated to speak.

Grace looked up and gazed at the man sitting across from her.

His light brown hair swayed softly in the gentle breeze. His green eyes, shining in the sunlight, were fresher than any leaves.

Many women admired him. Even though he was married, there were many who coveted him.

Well, the man sitting across from Grace had never even held hands with her, let alone had a marital relationship.

‘No, we held hands last time.’

Grace lifted the teacup in front of her and took a sip. The tea tasted bittersweet, unlike its sweet aroma.

“Your Highness, I have something to say.”

“Yes, My lady. Please speak.”

As Grace spoke, he smiled while holding a teacup. Grace found his smile repulsive.

No matter how affectionate his expression was, Grace’s heart remained unmoved.

Who is this person?

He is a “sub-male lead” from the novel “The Saint’s Wish.”

He was forced into an unwanted marriage by the royal family and pretended to be a gallant gentleman around the female lead before revealing his true dark intentions later on. That is Grace’s husband…

He was Duke Benjamin Felton.

‘When you have a wife, how can you be interested in another woman? What kind of gallant gentleman is that?’

When reading the novel, Grace liked Benjamin. Grace liked affectionate men, so she was shocked by Benjamin’s actions in the latter part of the novel.

But, in fact, she still liked Benjamin. He was actually affectionate. However, in the end, he ended up liking Aria.

That’s how it was in the novel, but is it really like that in real life?

Grace didn’t want to receive death as an answer to her unrequited love.

As she watched Benjamin smiling, Grace spoke.

“Let’s get divorced.”

As Grace spat out these words, Benjamin froze with a teacup in his hand.

Not only Benjamin but also all the servants around him, forgot to breathe and looked at Grace.

Grace was the only one who was completely calm after saying the word “divorce”.

“My Lady…”

“I know that Your Highness doesn’t love me. I also know that you married me for the sake of your family.”

With a thud, Grace put down the cup she was holding.

The reflection of herself in the clear tea water was far from that of a beautiful heroine.

“So let’s get divorced. I will never say anything else and will never show myself in front of Your Highness again.”

Grace thought Benjamin would be happy and immediately suggest drafting a divorce agreement.

However, his reaction was quite unexpected.

“…My Lady.”

When Grace looked up, she saw Benjamin with tears filling his eyes.

“My Lady, why are you saying such things?”

“Your Highness?”

“What have I done wrong? Have I made a mistake in serving My lady?”

Tears fell from his chiseled face.
