Live stream (2)

Xue Lan looked at his phone following his words in alarm—

@breezeofwillow: This assaulter’s operation is 6. Damn, is it really Babycandy? Such a coward as a medic, but so aggressive as an assaulter?

@KnifeSeenOnPaper: This is lolita out of control in reality…wasn’t that charge earlier too fucking thrilling?! Really is a cool lolita, simply the world’s honeyyy!!!

@PandaEatsSourBamboo: Wind’s era has ended, after all everyone present has watched Wind growing up, he’ll soon reach the end of his prime time, and it’s time for a successor to emerge.

@WindIsHopeless: Can’t even defeat a girl, Wind is so done for.

@OnlyLoveWind: I who have been an anti of Babycandy for a year…have become a fan what is going on…this little sister is hella cool! For Yan God she secretly practiced as an assaulter, and to not make things difficult for Yan God she disguised as a man to play professionally!!!

@WindFallDownTheShrine: That’s it? Turns out Wind is just so-so, ie just being deified by a fan.

@OnlyGodOfYanGod: Aren’t the matches in the training camp supposed to be kept secret and can’t be streamed??? No one’s dealing with this?

……

“I…” Xue Lan’s heart was cold as ice. The ignited hot blood seemed to extinguish completely from this. He lowered his head apologetically. “I’m sorry, I’m at fault for this matter, I’ll write an apology. I’m really sorry…”

“He only played a solo game. First he did not live stream, second he did not break the rules. Why apologize?”

A voice with a trace of a smile interrupted Xue Lan’s words. This voice clearly carried a smile, but it made people feel eerily cold.

Xue Lan looked up in surprise. Everyone’s eyes trailed toward Duan Wenzheng at the entrance of the training room.

“It’s explicitly stated that the training camp matches cannot be live streamed. Without authorization, those who live stream have to be kicked out!”

But Duan Wenzheng laughed with a sneer as he approached. “The training hours have long passed, you’re calling this solo game a match?”

“You?!”

“Alright.”

Wen Yan who had been silent cut off Deng Ruiqiu’s words. He stood up. “It’s just a casual game, not a match, so even if it’s streamed, it’s fine. Besides, I’m the host, and it’s me who forgot to turn off the spectating mode.”

Not only did this unintended advocation root Deng Ruiqiu to the ground, but Xue Lan also looked at Wen Yan in surprise.

There was no need to doubt. Wen Yan was cold to people, though it was known in the community that he was a good person who would not let private matters interfere with official matters, but regarding these recent rumors and slanders, he did not bother about them and did not pay attention to them. Although what happened today was sudden, it was clear from his words that he would be accountable for all faults.

A flabbergasted Deng Ruiqiu looked at Wen Yan. His expression looked uglier.

A long time passed when he finally picked up his backpack and strode out of the training room without looking back.

“Yan God, you don’t have to be like this.” Xue Lan took a deep breath. “I am also responsible for this, I will do my best to fix it. I apologize.”

No matter how it happened, Wen Yan still received the short end of the stick because of him. There were so many comments that were over the top about Wen Yan on the internet, Xue Lan remembered. Even if those words weren’t directed at him, he still felt especially upset.

But Wen Yan brushed it off. “You played well. Although the result has been concluded, your marksmanship is impressive. However, the skills you carry are important. Right now it is still essential for assaulters to have flash and stealth skills.”

Wen Yan immediately skipped the subject. This made Xue Lan astounded again, he only returned to his senses after a moment. A tint of blush sprung onto his face because of the praise.

“Mm,” Xue Lan answered with lowered eyes.

“Let’s continue?”

“It’s three in the morning now.” Duan Wenzheng casually put his hand on Xue Lan’s shoulder. In a languid tone, he said, “Special coach Wen, a trainee’s health is also important.”

Wen Yan was sort of stumped before he looked up at the clock.

After such a scene, Xue Lan also had no desire to continue; he just realized it was so late already and said apologetically, “I have disturbed your rest, and I’m really sorry about today. Yan God, you should also get some rest.”

“Training is important, but so is rest.” Wen Yan shut down the computer. His brows knitted together as he looked at the hand on Xue Lan’s shoulder. Disgruntled, he turned and left the training room.

Xue Lan naturally saw Wen Yan’s change of expression. He nervously lowered Duan Wenzheng’s hand.

But Duan Wenzheng simply held his other shoulder. This act was like half holding his whole body in his arms.

Lest Wen Yan would misunderstand Duan Wenzheng, Xue Lan tried to push away that hand on his shoulder that refused to budge. He heaved a sigh. “Reset…”

“What time is it, not sleeping yet?” Duan Wenzheng yawned. His movement was languid as his eyes settled on the indistinct bright red face in the dim room. “Did you forget that…tomorrow is my match?”

“I remember.” Xue Lan waved his hand. Of course he remembered, but as though he thought of something, he suddenly said in a lowered voice, “You’re competing tomorrow, why are you still awake…”

Duan Wenzheng studied his nervous expression. “Well, maybe because I’m afraid that someone doesn’t know what sleep is if no one calls?”

Xue Lan awkwardly pulled his hair which became tousled because of the headset and did not deny his words, but he was leaning too close. That murmur that lightly brushed against his ear made the tip of his ears redden.

“We’re all men…” Duan Wenzheng glanced at the hand on his shoulder and leaned in as he watched his uneasy look. With a quiet but profound look, he said, “Why are you blushing?”
