Chapter 87 The Harsh Reality(Part-1)
Following Su Chen's lead, Lou Rouer too got out and came to where he was standing.
Su Chen looked at the big truck with two heavy containers on its back, parked in front of them.
Beside him, Catlynn and Wanger with some of his bodyguards were standing obediently.
In his hands were the truck keys, which he was fidgeting with.
"Lou Rouer, today I will show you the true face of people."
"Not all deserve kindness and pity."
"Hmmmm", Lou Rouer just snorted.
"I will now ask you to perform a very simple task, as long as you do it....even if in the end you are not convinced, I will offer you a condition."
"How about it?"
"You can ask me anything and I will fulfill your wish."
Lou Rouer seemed to be interested,
"Real?"
"Yes, real!"
Su Chen replied straightforwardly.
After pondering for a while Lou Rouer nodded.
She didn't believe that Su Chen had the capability of changing her mind. Her belief which she believed in since childhood was sacred in itself, how can it be influenced by mere words?
Moreover, with Su Chen's promise, she can ask him to do anything. It had only benefits and no losses.
"You don't have to worry, I am not going to ask you to do anything illegal."
Seeing her wrinkled face, Su Chen eased her worries.
Hearing Su Chen's words, Lou Rouer finally relaxed.
She was worried if Su Chen would ask her to do something bad.
"You see this is a very big truck with two heavy containers on its back."
Lou Rouer nodded, the heavy duty truck really had two big containers on its back. Those containers were very big, probably a lot of supplies or sports cars could fit inside.
"In each container there are ample rations; wheat bags, rice bags, pulses, salt bags, sugar bags.....ample of vegetables: potatoes, onions, tomatoes, capsicums and lots of other things which we can eat. There are even lots of frozen meat bags inside."
"To put it short, those long and large containers are filled with food from top to bottom."
"The amount of food in them is enough to fill the stomachs of at least 450 people for an entire month."
Hearing this, Lou Rouer's pupils dilated.
She knew such a large amount of food would be enough to fill the stomachs of countless.
If it was a wartime, the amount of food Su Chen had hoarded would have surely caused a big riot.
What does he want to do with so many food supplies?
Her curiosity was successfully aroused.
Seeing her eyes which were full of interest, he knew the fish had taken the bait.
"Right now, we are standing at the corner of Roorke city, one kilometer ahead on this road is a medium-sized village. That village is full of your so-called poor and needy people. There are like 400 villagers who live there." n.(O((v--E.(l(-b.-I./n
"These food supplies should be enough to make them happy and for them to live a good life for at least a month."
"What do you think will happen if we distribute all of these supplies to those villagers who, according to you, if given an opportunity, will lead our country to become a better place?"
Hearing Su Chen's words, Lou Rouer replied as if it was a matter-of-fact.
"Of course, if you really intend to give these supplies to them, then they will be very grateful and indebted to you. You will receive their blessings and if any of them manages to become someone great, he or she will definitely remember this favour you once bestowed upon them."
"Haha!"
Su Chen chuckled.
"Very well then!"
"Lou Rouer that's why I say you have no idea of this world that we live in."
"I will give you the task to drive this truck to their village and distribute everything to them."
"Let you receive their honour as well as gratitude."
"You can complete this simple task, right?"
Hearing Su Chen's words that seemed to be filled with ridicule, Lou Rouer straightened her shoulders as she stood proudly.
"Yes, it's such a noble task to deliver food to the needy. If you don't want to do it then let me do it."
Su Chen didn't say anything more, he knew Lou Rouer will soon realise why actions speak louder than words.
He handed her three keys, one was the key for the truck and the other two keys were to unlock the big containers on the truck's back.
"Oh, yes!"
"I forgot, this village is known to be a little unlawful these days, be careful."
Su Chen spoke when Lou Rouer was just about to get in the truck and drive alone further.
"It's okay, how can such poor and needy people commit any crime? The moment they see me bringing so many things to eat, they will burst out crying."
Lou Rouer sneered once again at Su Chen's words and got in the truck and started the engine.
Compared to Su Chen and Chu Fang who are big criminals, in her eyes those villagers are way too innocent. How can they be unlawful?
Su Chen just stood there leisurely until the truck was no longer in vision.
"Young master, are you sure nothing will happen?"
Catlynn, who was beside him, asked worriedly.
"Yes, young master, the situation is not good there!"
Wanger too spoke.
"It's okay, we will follow her from a distance, let's get in the car."
"Hmm"
Before Catlynn could open the car door, Su Chen pulled her in his arms.
Kyaa~
Catlynn was taken aback by Su Chen's sudden action.
"Shhh, it's a gift from me for being so helpful today."
"Under her bewildered eyes, Su Chen slowly kissed her forehead before freeing her and getting in the backseat of the car."
All of it had happened within seconds giving no time for Catlynn to react.
A red cloud appeared on her cheeks as she quickly got in the front seat.
There was a wide grin on her previously expressionless face.
What does a maid want the most?
It's her master's affection.
Su Chen's small kiss made her calm heart turbulent as their car too started and drifted where Lou Rouer has driven to.
