Chapter 321 - Welcome To Serenity Haven Inn

Yvonne and her mother had no way of knowing what was happening back at their Estate during their absence.

The two of them were rather focused on the building before them.

When their carriage had come to a halt before this inn, a couple of servants had rushed out to greet them.

With the help of the maid who worked at this inn, Raylene had alighted from the carriage and then helped her daughter out.

'Thank you.' The little girl smiled at her mother who carried her, not letting the unfamiliar maid touch her.

Raylene was slowly getting accustomed to her child's behavioral traits and one of them was her dislike for people getting too close to her.

Hence, she was the one who helped her child without letting the strange maid come in contact with the little girl.

The smile she received in gratitude from her child proved that she had made the right decision.

Now, the two of them had alighted from the carriage and were standing outside the Inn which the Earl had recommended for their stay today.

The little girl's eyes marveled at the architectural design of this inn which was different from the mansions she had seen in the Capital city, Amarthea.

Yvonne St. Claire was brought up in a luxurious manor in her previous world and in this one, she lived in a mansion as well.

So it was safe to say that she had an eye for the finer things in life.

This Inn which was pretty much in the middle of nowhere seemed to have been built by someone who had a great sense of aesthetics.

'Such attention to detail.' She praised the one who had designed the beautiful structure.

The inn spanned across a vast area and it was clear that a huge sum of money was spent for its construction.

The place gave out a cozy yet luxurious vibe to them which gave Yvonne the impression of a high-end resort she had visited in her old world.

Even the board on which the name of the Inn was painted seemed to have cost a lot of money.

{SERENITY HAVEN INN}

'Sounds like the name of a fancy spa resort.' Yvonne snickered when she read the name.

While the two ladies of the St. Claire's family were looking around the new place where they had just arrived, the two servants, one male, and another female stood at the side with their heads lowered as they waited for them to complete viewing the outer side of the building.

They worked for the Inn and had come out to greet and escort the guests who had arrived.

"Madam?" A man's voice averted their attention from the building onto him.

Yvonne glanced up at the man who had driven them here, the coach driver, as he had called out to her mother.

When he noticed that their attention was on them, he bowed and uttered what was on his mind.

"Shall I leave to fetch the Young Master from the Royal Academy?" He inquired as this was the other task that the Master had handed over to him.

When the Countess heard this, she did not keep him any longer and sent him away to fetch her baby boy as quickly as possible.

'Desperate much?' Yvonne giggled while shaking her head at her mother who seemed a little too enthusiastic to meet her son.

They then watched the carriage drive away from the inn and move ahead in the same direction that they had been traveling until now.

Turning around, they faced each other with a smile as Raylene extended her hand to her child.

The little girl did not reject this offer as she held her mother's hand and the two began walking into the inn.

The two servants followed the noble ladies as they ventured inside.

They were once again wide-eyed when they entered the inn.

To say that the marble- floor was shining would not be an exaggeration and even the pillars in this place were carved with intricate designs of flowers and other things found in nature.

"Welcome to Serenity Haven Inn!" A soothing voice diverted their attention from the decor to the man who had just entered the Main Hall.

The passage through which he had entered was at the extreme right of the Hall which was the reason why they had not noticed his arrival.

Raylene nodded when she recognized the man while Yvonne just stood there, blankly staring at him.

Hair the color of hazelnut with streaks of bright auburn thrown into the mix which was neatly trimmed, a pair of wide expressive brown eyes, and a broad smile smeared on his lips.

This was what Yvonne noticed when her eyes fell on the man.

'Pretty…' Her mind could only form a single word to describe him as she was stunned by his beautiful visage.

Yvonne St. Claire was a vain woman who appreciated beauty and right now, standing before her eyes was one such entrancing specimen who had managed to win her favor in an instant.

The young man smiled at the little girl who was holding her mother's hand and was staring at him unblinkingly.

"This is Young Miss Yvonne?" He questioned while looking her in the eye.

She had no idea that she could ever blush but right now she was doing just that.

Her reddening cheeks as she nodded at him made the young man's smile widen.

"Such a pretty little girl!" He exclaimed as he stepped closer in their direction.

Raylene had never seen her daughter look this flustered before and she surely was enjoying the shy appearance that was now visible for everyone to see.

'Does Vonny think he is cute?' She speculated what the cause for the sudden change in her demeanor.

Yvonne, who was blushing at the beautiful human being walking her way froze when she heard his words.

'Little… Girl…' She realized that for everyone, she was still a child which for some reason brought a surge of dissatisfaction in her heart.

Raylene did not notice this but the young man had.

His next actions stunned both the mother and daughter as they stared at him with widened eyes.

"Is something bothering you, Miss?" He expressed his concern with his brows furrowed.

It wasn't his worried tone that froze the ladies but the fact that he had said those words while kneeling before the little girl to get on the same eye level as her.

'That was a knockout move!' Yvonne lamented in her heart as she shook her head at him.

The CEO of Platina Entertainment had faced many young men who were willing to kneel before her to win her favor but there was never someone who had done so to ask if she was alright.

Gulping hard, the little girl did not know if she was lucky or unlucky right now.

When she was in her adult body, the only men she met were those looking for materialistic gains from her but now, she found this fine young man but she was in a child's body.

"Oh please get off the floor, Master Brodie!" Raylene's worried words brought her out of her troubled daze.

'What did she just call him!?' Yvonne whiplashed to look at her mother who was alternating her gaze between the two.

Brodie, the name that Raylene had used was a famous one in this Kingdom.

After all, one of the Dukes had this name which brought about confusion on her face.

'Duke Brodie has no son…' She asserted with confidence as she was sure of this matter thanks to her prior knowledge about this world.

Seeing the bewilderment on her face, the young man made no movement to follow the Countess' suggestion.

Instead, he raised his hand towards the little girl and smiled when she placed her tiny hand into his.

Lowering his head, he kissed the back of her palm which shocked them.

After which, he looked up at the young child and flashed his brightest smile.

"Pleased to meet you, Miss Yvonne. I am Jasper Brodie, the elder son of Monek Brodie." He introduced himself and retracted his hand while rising to his feet once he was done speaking.

While Yvonne was reliving the scene that just took place, her mother was thanking all the gods that her husband was not here to witness this scene.

'Ruthy would have pummeled this young man into the ground.' She declared and knew that her words held weight.
