Chapter 790 - Tea Party (3)

Almost everyone here felt that Elna's words made sense as the only ones who were worthy of being the spouse of a princess were the sons of the Duke.

Therefore, it did not matter which one of them would be betrothed to the Princess, the Tanner family would be blessed anyway.

Princess Felicia had never been asked such a question before as her father wished to wait for a while longer before even thinking about this important decision.

However, when she heard Elna's opinions, she thought that her statement might not be able to reveal the truth entirely.

After all, rather than marrying someone below their status, Princesses were often given in marriage to the King or Prince of a different Kingdom.

They could be thought of as collateral between two Kingdoms to ensure that the friendly relationship between them would continue and their respective nations would thus prosper.

Her mother was a Princess of a neighboring Kingdom and was lucky enough to meet her father with whom she later fell in love.

However, not everyone shared a similar fate as not every King could be as loving or as caring as her father was.

Thus while she agreed with Miss Elna's statement, her reason for doing so was completely different from what these girls were assuming.

"There is still a lot of time for that." The Princess added, not denying what Elna had said which made her smile complacently.

Seated in silence, Yvonne thought of the person whom Princess Felicia was said to marry in the script and knew for sure that it was not one of the Tanner siblings.

However, she did not have much knowledge about this person and hence could not determine if it had turned out to be a good marriage or not.

'That Bird brain truly only focused on the main couple.' She sneered at a certain god who had forgotten all about the other characters if it did not concern the sickeningly sweet romance between the male and female lead.

The only part mentioned in the script was that the Princess was set to marry a Prince of a different nation and that was the end of her role.

She was no longer mentioned until the very end of the script Yvonne had read in the past.

'I haven't had any dreams about this as well.' She groaned, realizing that she had not seen anything concerning the girls after their initial confrontation with Hilda.

A frown settled on her face when she also noticed that the frequency of her dreams was waning as she grew older.

They had been constant in the past but were becoming a rare occurrence these days.

However, she never had any control over these dreams so she could only hope to gain more information about the life of 'Yvonne' and her friends which seemed to have been neglected by Asmodeus when he wrote his script.

___

Once Princess Felicia had given her answer, their entertaining topic had come to an end.

Their tea had also cooled down so the Governess got the maids to clear the tables and the Princess announced that they should move to a different location.

Since they had been to the greenhouse already which was one of the few attractions in the grounds of her Rose Palace, Princess Felicia could only take them into her Palace so that they might have more fun there.

The sun was beginning to burn brighter in the sky so her decision to do so would be appreciated when the girls would experience the soothing cool air that circulated inside the Palace.

With the Princess leading the way, the girls began walking through the grassy garden once again.

Aleena did not forget to hold onto Yvonne even though she had done a much better job this time.

However, there was one other reason why she had done so.

Every time she touched the younger girl, a pleasant cold breeze surrounded her which made her incline towards her more than what was needed.

Not knowing that Sevenz's present was making Aleena move closer to her, Yvonne did not think too much about it and walked along.

When the Jorbin triplets questioned why the two were clinging to each other, Aleena disclosed the reason without hesitation.

Her mother had asked her to be kind to the three girls so she did not ignore them like a few others had done even today.

They then held onto each others' hands and attempted to do the same but were fearful of falling which led them to discard the idea of trying this new method in the Palace.

"We'll test it out at home." They whispered and hurried to follow the Princess, ignoring their dirty heels which often sank into the ground.

'How much longer will I have to stay here?' Yvonne shook her head at the triplets who scurried away.

It was already over an hour since she had entered the Palace which made her eager to return home before she encountered anyone else here.

___

Hours passed with the Princess and the girls staying inside the Rose Palace.

The Princess had arranged an opera troupe to entertain them and their funny performance made most of them giggle while a few tried to maintain a stern facade despite the obvious curve of their lips.

Nobles often attended the opera so it wasn't a bad idea to watch a show today.

The opera group chose a rather simple but funny skit which was appropriate for children under the supervision of the Governess who was in charge of ensuring that everything was in line with the standards of the Princess.

Yvonne too had a good time, forgetting about Elna and Mae Blaise who kept glancing at her with hostile eyes.

After the opera, the servants brought out something which made her eyes twinkle in delight.

'Ice cream?' She drooled, yearning for that cold treat now that summer was already here.

Princess Felicia chuckled when she saw that Yvonne wasn't the only one who was excited to have the special treat she had prepared for her guests.

"My uncle helped me pick this special dessert for us." She announced while gesturing for the maids to place their trays on the table before them.

'Lost my appetite.' Yvonne looked away from the bowls now placed on the table when she heard the name she did not wish to hear ever again.

Contrary to her dulling eyes, Elna's eyes widened in surprise and she stared at the bowls with appreciation.

"Oh my, these are different from the ones at the Commercial District." She exclaimed, praise and admiration evident in her tone.

Yvonne rolled her eyes when no one was watching before slyly sneaking a peek at the table.

Her determination to ignore the items prepared by that person wavered when she saw the sight before her.

Elna was right when she said that they were different from the ones sold at the Commercial District.

Yvonne had only ever eaten vanilla-flavored ice cream ever since she had arrived in this world.

Therefore, despite her obvious dislike to the one who had prepared this treat, she could not avert her eyes from the four flavors placed before her.

"Even the Royal chef doesn't know how to prepare these." Princess Felicia explained when she saw their curious eyes.

Vanilla was the obvious flavor that everyone had already tried but this was the first time they were seeing three new ones right next to it.

"This is strawberry," She began introducing the items and pointed at the next one, revealing that this was chocolate.

Chocolate was expensive as its raw materials were exported from a different Kingdom which made their eyes widen in surprise that they got the chance to eat it today in this new form.

"And this one is…" Princess Felicia frowned, having a tough time recalling the name her uncle had mentioned earlier.

The last bowl had an ice cream of bright yellow with orange tinges to it but they could not recognize what it could be made of.

Yvonne's eyes were focused on this last bowl, gritting her teeth while trying her best to control her greedy stomach which was revolting to taste the flavor she loved the most.

Princess Felicia was still unable to recall its name so she turned her gaze towards the Governess who might be of some help to her.

However, before the old lady could send a maid out to the Prince who had helped them prepare this rare item, someone had saved them the time and effort.

"Mango," Yvonne muttered, finally giving in to her desires as she stood no chance before the fruit she loved since she was a little girl in her previous world.
