Chapter 101: Care About

Chang Qing didn’t live with Lu Zheng for long, before Lu Hua came to the door and pestered Chang Qing to move back.

“Can you move back? I really find it strange that you’re not at home and only third brother and I are there. It’s so boring.” Lu Hua was almost a little sad when she said that.

This kind of sadness was also reflected in her face and body movements. She stopped shaking Chang Qing’s sleeves, and her eyebrows drooped, giving her a  frustrated and unhappy look.

Lu Hua happened to be visiting at a time when Lu Zheng was away. Chang Qing was the only one left at home and he was a little idle. When he saw Lu Hua coming over, he was a little surprised. “Isn’t it Wednesday today? Are you on holiday?”

Lu Hua muttered, “I asked for leave. I asked for sick leave.”

Then she said: “I have a fever.”

Chang Qing: “…”

He reached out and pressed her forehead, felt it ,and frowned, “It’s hot. Why don’t you let Ah Jian take you to the hospital?”

Lu Hua said weakly, “I don’t want him.”

Chang Qing was speechless. He immediately changed his clothes, to take Lu Hua to the hospital.

Lu Hua immediately made a scene, “I won’t go to the hospital. If you don’t come back to live, just let me burn to death.”

Chang Qing was helpless, “Which is more important? If you burn out your brain, you’ll be a fool in the future. Do you know how serious that problem is?”

Lu Hua pinched her throat, hummed, and said, “I don’t know, I don’t care. You’re coming back. Are you going to make me a left-behind child1?”

Chang Qing said, “You’re no longer a child…”

Lu Hua snorted and said, “I don’t care. I don’t care. If I say it is then it is.”

Chang Qing: “…”

This conversation is so familiar. They really are brother and sister. Their personality and temperament are quite similar in some ways.

Chang Qing had no choice but to say, “You go to the hospital first. You can’t drag out a high fever. You’ll really burn into a fool, okay? You go to the hospital first and I’ll think about going back.”

Lu Hua raised her face to look at him, “Really?”

Chang Qing said, “Really, hurry up.”

He stretched out his hand and tugged at Lu Hua’s arm.

Lu Hua obediently followed behind him and went downstairs with him.

Chang Qing asked her, “When did  your fever start?”

Lu Hua thought for a moment, “Maybe in the morning… I was very uncomfortable this morning, and my head was dizzy. Then I vomited during my nap. Luo Nan said I had a high fever, so the teacher asked me to ask for leave.”

Chang Qing: “… you felt sick in the morning but didn’t know it was a fever until noon?”

Lu Hua nodded, and the corner of Chang Qing’s mouth twitched, “Then you’ve been dragging your feet for so long, and you still haven’t gone to the hospital.”

Lu Hua muttered, “Anyway, you two have gone to love each other, and you don’t care whether I live or die.”

She said this so heartbreakingly, that Chang Qing also felt guilty, “It’s not like that, I just…” He didn’t know what to say.

He is also Lu Hua’s guardian. Now that he moved here, he obviously couldn’t take care of Lu Hua. Looking at it this way, he was indeed a bit selfish.

…What’s even more selfish is that he brought Lu Zheng to live outside with him.

Chang was dumbfounded by her words, and after a while he said, “I still care about you.”

Lu Hua snorted, “You’re lying.”

She spoke weakly, and Chang Qing reached out and touched her forehead again, and became even more anxious, “Let’s talk about going home later, and go to the hospital first.”

He took Lu Hua and ran into the elevator quickly. When he got downstairs, he met Ah Jian, who was waiting downstairs. He didn’t have time to say anything to Ah Jian and asked him to drive the car over directly.

Ah Jian didn’t seem to know that Lu Hua was sick, and his movements were a little slow. Chang Qing urged: “Lu Hua has a high fever. We need to send her to the hospital. Hurry up and bring the car over.”

Ah Jian showed a somewhat surprised expression. Glancing at Lu Hua, he quickened his pace and drove the car over.

On the way to the hospital, Lu Hua was still humming, “I don’t care. You have to come back with my second brother. What’s the point of you both being away?”

She answered herself: “It doesn’t mean anything.”

Chang Qing had no choice but to agree, “I’ll listen to you. You be good, and don’t move. We can’t open the window. You have a high fever, you can’t let the wind blow……”

Ah Jian asked him, “Do you want to tell President Lu?”

Chang Qing paused and said, “Let’s not talk about it right now. We’ll talk about it in the hospital.”

Ah Jian agreed, and they soon arrived at the hospital. Lu Hua was in a hurry, and Chang Qing was really afraid that her high fever would burn out her brain. He was called to the emergency room.

Soon, the nurse came to take her temperature. After a while, she took out the thermometer and looked at it. She was surprised and said, “It’s 39.4℃. You have a high fever. Why did you come to the hospital so late?”

Chang Qing felt even more guilty, “So should she  take medication now or what?”

The nurse said, “I’ll give her an IV drip first.”

She went to fetch the IV bag and Lu Hua yelled, “I’m afraid of injections!”

Chang Qing comforted her and said, “It only hurts a little. Maybe you can look at something else to divert your attention?”

Lu Hua took out her phone in front of Chang Qing and opened an app. She found a video and said to the nurse while watching it, “Sister, hurry up. I’m very afraid of pain.”

The nurse responded with a smile, and quickly gave her an injection.

She gave a short cry and then there was no more response.

Chang Qing looked at the large bottle of medicine and couldn’t help but be stunned. There were patients around, but their IV bag’s weren’t as big as Lu Hua’s. This meant that Lu Hua would have to stay in the hospital for at least two hours.

Chang Qing sat next to her, glanced at the phone in her hand, and was stunned after just one glance, “… is that Lu Shi?”

Lu Hua gave a smile, which was a little evil. “I helped third brother open a door to a new world. He already has 550,000 fans!”

Chang Qing: “…”

He said in disbelief, “Is this famous?”

Lu Hua shook her head like a little adult, “No, it’s only 550,000. It’s nothing. He won’t be famous until he becomes a million-dollar V.”

Chang Qing looked at Lu Shi, who was wearing women’s clothing undisguisedly, on the screen of his mobile phone with some complexity, and fell into a brief period of contemplation.

Lu Shi seems to have become addicted to crossdressing.

Lu Hua said, “He has grown a few centimeters taller, and the clothes I bought for him can’t fit him anymore. I’ll buy him new ones later.”

Chang Qing nodded, “It’s good to have something to do.”

Lu Hua said: “Third Brother is actually quite smart and has many ideas. He has made many gimmicks, such as wearing women’s clothes and playing guitar, crossdressing and eating spicy hotpot, playing games in women’s clothes…… In short, it’s crossdressing with a theme. Occasionally, he also wears men’s clothes and is broadcast live. The fans get so excited, that they scream and throw money at him.”

Lu Hua lowered her voice and whispered, “Third brother has already earned 110,000 yuan from wearing women’s clothing, and as his manager, I got 50,000 yuan! Qing Qing what do you want to buy? I’ll buy it for you, I’m very rich now.”

Chang Qing: “…There’s nothing I want to buy. You can keep it for yourself.”

Who knew what Lu Hua thought but she snorted and said, “Yes, you’re rich now. You’re second brother’s boyfriend.”.”

Chang Qing: “…”

He raised his eyes to look at her, and said softly, “You know everything?”

The corners of Lu Hua’s lips curled up, and she said, “Hmph, nothing can be hidden from my eyes.”

Chang Qing: “…Oh.”

After a while, he couldn’t help but ask, “What do you think?” Will she hate him?

Lu Hua thought for a moment and said, “It’s very good. I also said that I would marry you in the future! But think about it, we’re sisters, right?”

After a pause, she whispered: “Actually I feel like you are more like my mother.”

Chang Qing laughed after being promoted from sister to mother.

But looking at her like this, she didn’t seem to be very disgusted. In fact, if both Lu Hua and Lu Shi objected, he might shrink back.

Fortunately, Chang Qing let out a sigh of relief. He reached out and pinched Lu Hua’s cheek, and whispered, “Thank you.”

Lu Hua lifted her face to look at him. A faint confusion appeared in her beautiful almond shaped eyes, as if she didn’t know why Chang Qing thanked her, but she still curled the corners of her lips and smiled sweetly. “You’re welcome.”

Chang Qing’s heart softened, and he said to her, “After hanging up this IV, go back and sleep well. Once you wake up, you’ll get better right away.”

Lu Hua nodded. In fact, she wasn’t feeling well either. She felt very dizzy and couldn’t focus on anything. Therefore, she stopped looking at her phone. Seeing that Chang Qing seemed to be interested, she passed the phone to him, leaned back against the chair and slowly fell asleep.

Chang Qing had no intention of watching it, so he turned off the app for Lu Hua and put the phone away.

About half an hour later, Lu Zheng arrived at the hospital. He still looked a little tired, but when he saw Chang Qing, a smile soon appeared on his face. However, when he noticed Chang Qing’s gaze on Lu Hua, he immediately restrained his smile. He walked up to Chang Qing and asked, “How is she?”

Chang Qing touched her head. “The fever is going down.”

Lu Zheng did not speak, sat next to Lu Hua and covered her with a blanket he had brought.

Chang Qing said: “She asked me to go back.”

Lu Zheng asked: “Then do you want to go back?”

Chang Qing said: “I haven’t thought about it yet.”

Lu Zheng said, “Go home, the Chinese New Year is coming soon, and the family must be neat and tidy.”

Chang Qing glanced at him, “Do you want me to go back?”

Lu Zheng said, “No, it’s better to just be two people but Lu Hua is indeed young, and she can’t do without people.”

Chang Qing thought for a moment and said, “Then go back.”

Lu Zheng nodded.

After hanging up the IV, the nurse removed the needle for her. Lu Hua’s skin was delicate and tender, and the place where the needle was inserted quickly turned green. Lu Hua didn’t even wake up from this action, so Lu Zheng had no choice but to carry her out.

On the way back, Lu Hua didn’t wake up. She was covered in sweat and her forehead was wet. Chang Qing took out a tissue and wiped her face, and said softly, “She has a low-grade fever.”

Lu Zheng: “Let’s go home.”

Chang Qing nodded, and moved back the next day.
