“Yuanyuan, please join me,” Bo Desong invited, patting the seat beside him.

One of the servants promptly pulled out a chair for Fang Yuan, and Bo Yi followed suit, taking a seat beside her.

The four chefs personally presented the dishes, each dish as visually appealing as it was aromatic. The culinary style was refreshingly innovative. Among the offerings were a giant abalone adorned with black truffles, hydrangea-infused chicken soup, fragrant golden melon cubilose with a hint of orange, steamed crab infused with black dolphin meat oil and a delicate vinegar sauce, wild rice stew enriched with Liao Ginseng, and more.

“Yuanyuan, do give it a try!” Bo Desong personally wielded the chopsticks and offered Fang Yuan a taste.

However, Bo Yi was one step ahead, meticulously peeling the Boston lobster meat and placing it gently in Fang Yuan’s bowl.

Bo Desong was taken aback. Was this still his grandson? His grandson, displaying such thoughtfulness? He couldn’t believe his eyes.

Meanwhile, Butler Wen’s widened eyes mirrored his astonishment. Could it be that Young Master was really peeling lobster for Young Madam?

Bo Yi continued, removing the crab shell and skillfully serving Fang Yuan with crab meat and crab roe, as he had grown accustomed to during their meals together.

Bo Desong and Butler Wen watched in disbelief as Bo Yi attentively cared for Fang Yuan.

“The seafood today is quite exquisite. If you enjoy it, please indulge yourself,” Bo Yi remarked, not having taken a single bite himself.

As Bo Desong was still in shock, he asked with a smile, “Yuanyuan, does today’s meal meet your approval?”

Fang Yuan savored the crab meat in her mouth and replied, “It’s absolutely delicious.”

“Thank you for your kind words, Young Madam!” The four chefs bowed in unison, deeply grateful for Fang Yuan’s praise. Old Sir had already promised that if Young Madam found tonight’s dinner satisfying, their salaries would be doubled for the month!

“Eat it yourself,” Fang Yuan insisted, declining Bo Yi’s attempts to serve her. However, Bo Yi persisted in placing food into her bowl, attentively noting her preferences and dislikes to ensure he selected her favorite dishes.

“Yuanyuan, please visit me more often when you have time. My home hasn’t seen this much liveliness in ages!” Bo Yi had been preoccupied with work and hadn’t visited in months. Despite the numerous servants in the Spring Garden, Bo Desong always felt a void in his heart. But today was different; he could enjoy a meal in the company of his family.

“Alright,” Fang Yuan agreed readily.

“In the future, Yuanyuan and 1 will make sure to visit you more often,” Bo Yi added.

Hearing Bo Yi’s words, Bo Desong inwardly snorted. In the past, he had been reluctant to visit, but now he agreed so readily. All he knows is how to follow his wife!

After dinner, Bo Desong led Fang Yuan on a tour, eventually reaching the top floor to admire the distant view.

“It’s quite dark now; you can’t see very far. The daytime scenery is even more stunning. There are beautiful flowers and trees, a stream, and a tall mountain. Yuanyuan, you must come visit when you have the time.”

“Sure,” Fang Yuan replied, glancing at the time. “It’s getting late; 1 should head back.”

“Don’t go,” Bo Desong protested with reluctance. “Stay a little longer.”

Fang Yuan responded, “I’ll come see you next time.”

As Fang Yuan was about to leave, Bo Desong discreetly signaled Butler Wen. Understanding his intent, Butler Wen quietly departed to make arrangements.

Bo Yi held onto Fang Yuan as they took the elevator to the living room on the first floor, and suddenly, the villa’s lights dimmed.

“What’s happening?” Bo Desong asked, though he knew the answer. “Why did the power go out?”

“Yes, it’s quite unusual. Despite living here for many years, we’ve never encountered such a situation before! Let me investigate what’s happening. Old Master, Young Madam, please stay calm. I’ll go check it out right away,” Butler Wen assured, feigning ignorance before swiftly departing.

“Yi, please escort Yuanyuan to the sofa for the time being,” Bo Desong suggested. He then turned to a servant and instructed, “Quickly find some candles and emergency lights.”

“Old Master, didn’t you collect some exquisite emergency lamps in the past?” a servant inquired, following the prearranged excuse.

“Oh, right, where did 1 put those? Hurry and help me search for them!” Bo Desong devised a reason to leave, leaving Bo Yi and Fang Yuan alone in the spacious living room.

Bo Yi couldn’t help but smile. Clearly, there was a backup generator in the villa, and the power outage was deliberately orchestrated. Was Grandpa creating an opportunity for them to be alone?

Fang Yuan waited for some time, glancing at the clock. “It’s already 8:30; we should go.” She was worried her parents would be concerned if she returned too late.

Bo Yi gently embraced her. “It’s still early. Stay with me a little longer.”

Fang Yuan sighed. “How much time have 1 spent with you today?”

“It’s only been a few hours. That’s not enough!” Bo Yi held her tighter. “1 want to cherish more moments with you.”

Fang Yuan couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Why was he being so clingy now? Wasn’t he quite reserved in the past?

“Let go. Grandpa might notice,” she cautioned.

Bo Yi countered with a grin, “He’ll be even happier when he does..”
