33 A Lonely Day

After how many hours of crying, Clari fell asleep.

Seikatsu went out for hunting to eradicate his hunger. Eating all the animals he could catch, tearing their limbs apart and sucking their blood.

It was around 5pm, when a guardia civil [police are called at that time] passed near the river. He saw a pile of dead animals and was nauseated by it. It seems like something was off by how these animals were killed.

He looked closely, some parts are separated, they looked pale like their blood was drained, and he found two holes, like a bit mark. A lot of flies was circling around the pile. It was really disgusting but he still went straight ahead.

When he came back. He reported to his superior and also told him about what he saw. "Well, I also saw a lot of dead animals in forest near the lake. It was a little bit creepy because there was no trace of blood Sir...."

"Don't mind that. As long as there's no Japs lurking around, it's safe." the superior said without letting him finish to talk.

Smith heard what the the guy had reported but he did not pay much attention to it.

Claridad woke up at round 8 pm already. He ate 2 bananas then went to sleep again.

In the morning, she woke up at around 10 am. It was already too hot. So she took a bath, arrange her room, then went down. The emptiness of the house made her feel so lonely, it reminded her that she was already all alone. No where to go except for this house which holds every bit of memory they all shared.

It was a bit dusty already, so she cleaned the house. She washed the dishes, laundry the clothes. When she doesn't have anything to do, she decided to go to the garden to pick up some flowers and put it on all the vase they have.

Seeing that it was good, she head upstairs. Before she could reach her room, she passed by her parent's room and decided to take a look inside. She let out a sigh before opening it. She look on her mother's vanity table and sit there, a reflection of their photo was on the mirror so she turned her head to look at it.

I'm still 10 years old at this time, the year that the shack was build. The other photo was at the entrance of their house, the last one was when she was born.

The memories were tearing her heart apart, over and over again.
