Chapter 145: A Talking Manor?!

-----

Iris entered Scarlet as she saw dozens of thin, red-colored tentacles moving everywhere, preparing things, cleaning, and getting the house better, and more.

In just a few hours, Scarlet almost completely brought back the interior of the manor to how it used to be.

But it now had several new rooms as it had increased in size, almost doubling itself.

Noah wondered that, as Scarlet Ranked Up, she could even evolve and become bigger, perhaps one day even becoming a Blood Castle! Or it could even learn how to fly through Flight, and become a Flying Blood Castle!

"Amazing… so many… tentacles! Well, Scarlet is being rather diligent with her work as a house," said Iris.

"Indeed, I believe she has improved a lot, and by the fusion of all the blood servants, the souls of such blood servants merged into a colony mind, she might perhaps be several times more intelligent than before when she used to be various individuals," said Noah.

"I wonder if she can talk…" said Arthur.

"Well she's a house, and you saw it groan a bit earlier, right, Arthur-sama?" asked Timassa.

"You're right, perhaps it can't talk," said Arthur.

"Big house is back! Sleepytime!" said Adamantine, as she waved her tail made of shadows, she seemed to expect to sleep here now… or whatever she meant by "sleepy time".

"Amazing. I do wonder if our lord can construct enormous Blood Servants such as Scarlet in the future…" said Jon.

"We need to gather more for such a purpose, though," said Noah.

As the party walked towards the large table where they always sat around and ate breakfast, something unexpected happened.

The blood tentacles that Scarlet used to clean around began to merge, falling as a mass of slimy red blood into the floor!

Splash!

"Eh?" asked everyone in surprise, glaring at it.

"What's going on?" asked Arthur.

"Hm… Oh, it seems to want to interact with us," said Noah.

"Interact… with us?" asked Iris.

The mass of blood began to move around, taking into the shape of a humanoid for of sorts…

It looked like a cute girl in maid clothes, made completely out of the slimy red liquid and crimson-colored phantasmagoric essence.

"Welcome to my interiors, Master," she said.

"Ah, she can really talk!" said Iris.

"Scarlet, right?" asked Noah.

"Indeed. After my creation, the egos, and minds of those that made up my multiple souls have merged together and developed a colony mind, me. I strive forward to serve you as much as I possibly can, Master," said Scarlet with a gentle smile.

"I see. It was good to have given you a name and a piece of my soul. I believe that you might develop even further. I will make sure to periodically fuse more blood servants into you to make you stronger, although I want to gather a few more until then," said Noah.

"I would gladly accept any of my master's help. Now, would you want some breakfast? Everyone is preparing it, including me, so I will bring it," said Scarlet politely, walking away.

"Well that was really something else!" said Arthur.

"Indeed, it surprised me," said Jon.

"It reminds me of the dragon…" said Clementina.

"You mean Pride?" asked Noah, as the giant head of Pride emerged out of Noah's shoulder.

"You called me, my lord?" he asked.

"Ah! Right! His name is Pride… sorry for forgetting it…" said Clementina.

"Oh? No worries, Clementina-san. But I would appreciate it if you did not forget it anymore," said Pride.

"I-I will make sure to not forget it anymore, my apologies…" said Clementina.

Pride had been helping Clementina delve into dungeons to catch up with everyone else, and so both of them had fought together.

So Clementina forgetting his name hurt the old wyrm's pride a bit…

"I am really sorry!" said Clementina, vowing her head a bit more as she realized that Pride had been someone that has helped her quite a bit.

"It's fine, it's fine. …Anyways, my lord, have you thought about upgrading me the same way as Scarlet? Perhaps by merging with my brethren who serve you, my power could increase even more," said Pride.

"Hm… Perhaps. Although not for now, as I still want to gather a larger army," said Noah.

"Oh, very well then, I shall go rest until you call me once more," said Pride, going back to Noah's blood through Blood Storage.

After a few minutes of chatting around, Scarlet, Noire, Sakura, and Sugar wearing their maid outfits quickly began to serve breakfast to everyone.

And after breakfast, Noah decided to finally assess the large number of Ability Cores he possessed…

"There are many…" said Iris.

"How many… Ability Cores?" asked Arthur in surprise.

"We had been farming since our creation, so we are constantly bringing more and more Ability Cores, although the majority is D-Rank and below," said Pride.

Thanks to the blood Servants and the Robots having the power to enter dungeons without problems nor limits, Noah had constantly sent them to farm for Ability Cores and Attribute Value Cores.

Although Attribute Value Cores could not be consumed by B-Ranks, Ability Cores could be consumed by literally any Rank, meaning that all of these were extra Skill Points and ways to grow stronger without even having to enter a dungeon himself!

However, he still believed that proper Attribute Values of his Rank were needed to actually keep evolving… Noah presumed that even by maxing his Skill Tree, he would not be able to advance to Level IV Blood Core without having the proper stats…

However, for now, he would consume Ability Cores.

"Amazing… But do we even deserve them? We didn't work for them…" said Arthur.

"Yeah…. Noah-sama, please take them for yourself," said Timassa.

"I think the same, we don't deserve all of them," said Jon.

"Indeed…" said Iris.

"As my first Subordinates, you have privileges. And I do not mind sharing as long as you work very hard at my side in the next Dungeon exploration we do. You are an extension of my own strength after all," said Noah.

"R-Really?" asked Arthur.

"But wouldn't you be going against your words before?" asked Timassa.

"We are fine without them, really…" said Jon.

"You dare not accept my gifts, insolent subordinates? Do you desire to enrage me?" asked Noah with anger, surprising his own subordinates.

When Noah wanted to give something to someone, he wanted that person to accept it.

For someone like him, it was the biggest offense to reject his gifts!

Rejecting the kindness of a Vampire meant death!

…Of course, he would not kill them, but he would indeed reprimand them.

"Also, Iris, you are my wife, take the things I give you. Do not let your powers get to your heads. All of us are still weak, and the strength we can grab is beneficial! Accept my gift, or I will force you to accept them," said Noah.

"Eeep! Okay, okay!" said Arthur.

"W-We were just trying to be humble…" said Timassa.

"Sorry, my lord. But I now understand what you want… I shall accept them too," said Jon.

"Shiny spheres," said Adamantine.

"Sigh… You are right, sorry for that. I will take them then!" said Iris.

"As long as you understand…" sighed Noah, as he glanced at the total amount of Ability Cores.

"D-Do I get some?" asked Clementina.

"You are one of the ones that worked for it, so of course you will get too," said Noah nonchalantly.

After assessing a large number of Ability Cores, Noah decided to keep the C-Rank ones and D-Rank ones dropped by the Hunters they fought yesterday, alongside a few dozens of others, which he believed would give him enough Skill Points to max out his Skill Tree.

Everyone else that had a Blood Core also had their own smaller Skill Trees, such Skill Trees didn't give as many Skills as Noah's Skill Tree, but they still gave a substantial powerup to them, and their cost was usually similar to Noah's Skill Trees even if the Skills they gave were fewer and less varied.

Everyone began to absorb the Ability Cores they were given, as Noah did the same.

Noah touched the large pile of Ability Cores as he absorbed them, turning each Ability Core into particles of light that engulfed his body.

Each particle of light entered his entire body and then his soul, reaching his Blood Core and merging with it.

His Blood Core began to process all the energy and the "information" within each Ability Core, as Noah finally saw the new Skill Points he got.

Ding!

[You exchanged several Ability Cores for 4.315 Skill Points!]

After everyone absorbed their Ability Cores, most of the large pile was quickly drained away, but more Ability Cores were being farmed at this moment by Noah's Blood Servants and Robots, as he had sent them to do so before he went to sleep last night.
