Chapter 159: Trapped Inside The Holy Sword?!

-----

As Noah thought that he was about to completely tame Excalibur, a sudden radiance of light emerged from the depths of the sword soul!

The darkness and crimson red energy that was engulfing the blade were quickly destroyed by this holy radiance, as Noah was completely covered on it!

"Hahaha! You fool! You have awakened Excalibur's Heavenly Divine Soul Guardian! Do you think the Lady of the Lake would let you do as you please with the weapon forged by humanity's wishes?! Perish!" laughed Merlin.

FLASH!

"Oh?"

Noah was completely devoured by the radiant light, as he suddenly felt his consciousness emerge in a different place.

A place of eternal radiance, of bright yellow light, where a beautiful forest and a lake in the middle of it rested.

A beautiful woman with pale white skin, long blonde hair, and shiny aquamarine eyes were standing in the middle of this lake, glaring at Noah.

"Welcome to my Divine Realm, the eternal prison where your treacherous soul shall rest for eternity. To think that such a strong demon existed within this world… Oh, the legacy of my King has really been shattered, and you had even corrupted his holy descendant…" sighed the woman, she was the Lady of the Lake of King's Arthur's Tale, the woman who gave King Arthur his legendary sword.

Noah felt weakened as if he could not do anything at all.

He was completely paralyzed within this divine radiance, incapable of doing anything.

He felt, however, the burning pain of his soul as it was bathed by an endless radiance.

This was Excalibur's last resort against those that tried to use their malefic powers to dominate the sword, it was the power that the Soul of the Lady of the Lake had left within the Soul of Excalibur, which trapped the malevolent souls of those that tried to oppose the light and control Excalibur, leaving them inside a Divine Realm where they would never be able to escape from.

"Oh, so that's how it is…" said Noah, seemingly being oddly calm about this whole thing.

The Lady of the Lake glanced at Noah with her sharp aquamarine eyes, she was but a fragment of the soul of the original woman, who had perished long ago, she was also the "soul" that made Excalibur a Soul Weapon.

She felt that Noah was acting suspiciously, but quickly shrugged off whatever he was thinking, even though it seemed odd that he did not despaired while agonizing.

"Trying to act tough or brave won't be of any use… You will never be able to escape my Divine Realm," said the Lady of the Lake, smiling confidently at Noah's expressionless face.

"Is that so?" said Noah nonchalantly.

Meanwhile, within the outside world, Noah's body went back to its original form as it fell over the floor, Excalibur also stopped radiating as it seemed to have shut down, falling over his chest.

"NOAH!" cried Iris, running towards her husband as she quickly grabbed his torso and moved it upwards, trying to see through her Phantasmal powers if she could bring him back from his sudden slumber.

Everyone else was left in shock about what had occurred, as Arthur hurriedly rushed towards Noah and tried to use his Black Light Healing Skills to heal him, but it was not as if he had any damage, the wounds that the holy light left were already healed by his Immortal Body Skill, Noah had simply fallen into a slumber which he could not wake up from.

"What has happened to our lord?!" asked Timassa to Merlin, as the skeleton who had fallen into pieces laughed wickedly.

"Hehe! Hahahaha! What had happened to him is what he rightfully deserves! Excalibur has absorbed his soul inside of the weapon, and had sealed it within the Lady of the Lake Divine Realm! He has fallen into a slumber that he will never wake up from!" laughed Merlin.

"YOU DAMN PILE OF BONES! I WILL GRIND YOU INTO DUST AND DEVOUR YOUR SOUL!" roared Iris, flying towards Merlin as the old mage felt the instinctual fear of imminent death!

Somehow, Iris was going to find a way to tear apart his soul, something even worst than having his body die, he would simply disappear!

However, Arthur suddenly stopped Iris's charge.

"Please stop Iris-sama!" he cried.

"Arthur! Move aside!" roared Iris, gnashing her teeth as her eyes gleamed with crimson red light.

"If you destroy Merlin, how can we find a way to bring Noah-sama back? Please, think things through!" said Arthur.

"That's… But…!" muttered Iris, realizing that Arthur's words made complete sense.

Arthur sighed in relief as he walked back to Merlin.

"Please, tell me a way to bring back Noah-sama, Merlin!" said Arthur.

"Hmph. Even after he fell unconscious you are still brainwashed, Arthur?! Wake up! He is not your friend! He is your enemy! He is a demonic monster, a bloodsucker that feasts in the suffering of the innocents! You are the descendant of King Arthur, you are bound to save humanity, not to serve this demon!" said Merlin.

"Stop talking nonsense! I was never brainwashed by anyone! Noah-sama gave me many opportunities throughout my entire life! Do you think I was born as a talented young man? Radiant and charismatic like the damn idiot you once followed?! If it weren't for Noah-sama's kindness, I would be more than dead now! And there would not be any more descendants for your stupid little game! You would have rotten forever in here until the entire world was to be submerged in monsters!" said Arthur.

"W-What are you saying, you insolent brat?! Y-You…!" roared Merlin using a part of his soul to touch Arthur's head and destroy the brainwashing on his mind!

But…

"Eh? What? Where is it?! If you are brainwashed… there should be… some… rune…" muttered Merlin, as weakened as he was, if he used his very soul for something, it should at least be able to dispel a brainwashing effect in the mind of a young man.

However, to his utmost surprise, there was no brainwash at all.

"What are you doing? Of course, I am not brainwashed! I am following Noah-sama because I truly admire him! And because… he is my friend," said Arthur.

"W-What? This… this cannot be…! You cannot… NO! I SHALL NEVER HELP YOU FREE THIS DEMON! Even if he is your friend or whatever, Arthur!" said Merlin.

"Argh! You are such a damned pile of bones! I might as well melt your soul away!" roared Arthur, who was about to unleash his powerful poison over Merlin's piles of bones!

However, a sudden blast of crimson red energy exploded out of Excalibur's blade, startling everyone.

"W-What… was that?" asked Jon in surprise, as everyone put their eyes on the legendary weapon and Noah.

A few seconds earlier, within the Lady of the Lake's Divine Realm, Noah silently watched over the woman in front of him, who was lecturing him around about what was good or evil as if she were the divine advocate of god or something. Such a toxic woman made Noah desire to completely tear her apart or squash her like an ant.

"And as I said, you shall be in here for an eternity, so we will have a lot of time to talk about. I want to reform your unholy soul and teach you what is right and wrong. I think you were a former human, right? I would like you to tell me what really made you be the demon you are now? How has life treated you, my child?" asked The Lady of the Lake with a pleasant smile, as if she was enjoying having Noah to her mercy.

Noah glanced at her expressionlessly, as suddenly, something within his soul began to shapeshift.

A small, dark red tentacle emerged from within the depths of his existence, slowly moving around Noah's body, as it began to erode the holy seals that encompassed his soul while the Lady of the Lake was way too busy lecturing him to notice anything, mostly because the existence of such tentacles was of a completely different level from her own, already weakened existence which lacked almost all her mana now.

Deep within Noah's soul, a crimson eye opened, as Noah smiled lightly.

"You are awake, huh?" he said.

"Hm? What are you talking about? Of course, I am awake," said the Lady of the Lake.

"I hate restraints… I hate… seals… Devour… Devour… Devour…" muttered the abyssal voice within Noah's soul, the Spawn of Azathoth had woken up!

"You fool… You are more than dead now," laughed Noah.

"What?!" asked the Lady of the Lake, as she suddenly felt something slowly crawling around her leg.

"HYAAA?!"
