Chapter 196: The World's Core

The World's Origin Core was an entity that existed since the creation of Earth through natural causes.
It formed slowly through the over accumulation and pressure of tectonic plates and mana, which the planet's orbit absorbed from space.
The enormous quantities of mana that the gravitational forces absorbed began to quickly crystalize while the world was incredibly young and its surface was still filled with raging volcanoes and lava shaping the world's surface.
However, when the planet developed life was when the Origin Core started to develop and grow bigger.
With every living organism, more and more mana would be given to the Origin Core, which grew its green-colored crystal exterior larger and sturdier.
Similar to God, the Origin Core grew stronger when life came to be, but until God, it didn't require worship or beliefs to come into existence, it always existed since the creation of the planet through natural causes.
Life was originally primitive and devoid of souls, only being bacterial organisms that slowly began to group for greater efficiency in the production of energy to sustain their very lives.
However, a Transmigration God long ago noticed this world's primitive life, and casually connected its Transmigration Cycle with it. As it was a world still developing, no one claimed it, and he decided to spend a bit of power and see what could occur.
The God, Hekaton, left this planet alone for many years until it noticed that life had grown explosively complex as souls were introduced, and kept evolving into a wide array of shapes and forms until humans finally came to be.
After all of that time of absorbing the residual mana from all of these living organisms, alongside residual soul energy from their souls which were introduced, the planet's Origin Core acquired a large amount of power, growing larger and larger, and had gained consciousness in the middle of the Era of Dinosaurs, the Mesozoic Era.
However, although it had acquired consciousness quite late compared to the first time life came to be, it still had registered all the information it acquired since its creation since it was but a mere jewel inside the world's core.
It kept developing and registering information over a large amount of time, slowly yet steadily.
Until its consciousness evolved.
The first thing it asked itself was "Who am I?"
And through its endless source of registered information, it deciphered its own existence and purpose.
"I am the world", was its own answer.
The personification of the world, the one that harbored everything, life, the seas, the continents, sky, clouds, everything.
The Will of the World.
As the will of all the existence within the world, it remained quiet and watched nature grow and develop, while slowly amassing more and more power from life itself without any need of worship.
However, after Humans came to be, there was a destabilization of energy, humans began to concentrate their mana into their selfish beliefs, and after hundreds of years, they created an entity they named… God.
The Origin Core, on its aloofness, ended up without caring, and let things be as they were, as it always did.
However, the world kept being contaminated, and the world slowly deteriorated.
God didn't do anything to guide their creators other than watch, just like the Origin Core.
The Origin Core began to consider countermeasures, which even included destroying all of humanity, as it saw them as a nuisance.
The Origin Core was already able to gain power from any living being, so why did it need humanity anyways?
Although it had cooperated a few times with God and forged the Legendary Sword Excalibur by accumulating the wishes of humanity for peace, Arthur was perhaps the only human it recognized as "good".
But after he died, humanity didn't change, and everything went downhill pretty fast.
Wars, Nuclear Weapons, thousands of people dying.
The World thought that humans might end up killing themselves before they could take action by themselves…
However, before any of such plans could come to fruition, a wave of chaos and miasma hit the world.
God shielded the world, showing its worth to the Origin Core, who quickly changed its perception of it…
However, the miasma still leaked, and the surface was filled with a substance of mutagenic and contaminated mana of high density known as miasma, which also harbored the Chaos Attribute within, warping and making everything over the planet into chaos.
80% of all life died.
Immediately after, the Origin Core grew weaker, without life to sustain it with energy, it became lethargic and was about to fall asleep.
However, out of thin air, an entity from another plane, another world, emerged.
It called itself the System Master.
It offered a way to help the world develop and grow stronger again…
Space itself was warping, and gates that led to otherworldly dungeons also emerged, filling Earth with monsters that didn't give it any energy and only made things worse.
But the System Master offered solutions to all of this.
Through the miraculous System, everything could be resolved while also making the Origin Core stronger again.
The System gave all of humanity who mutated by the Miasma and developed some kind of ability a way to grow stronger through the Origin Cores that would form through the materializations of residual Mana, Vitality, and Soul Energy from anything they defeated.
Monsters would turn into black smoke because they would be converted into Attribute Cores, items, or Ability Cores by the System.
This way, no waste was left over the world, and humans would be able to use any monster they killed to grow stronger.
The strongest they grew, the more they would be able to push back the monsters of the gates and make life prosper again.
Alongside this, a share of any energy absorbed by the humans would be constantly given to the System, which would transfer it to the Origin Core.
This way, the Origin Core began to grow stronger and healthier than ever through these very few years, any human bind to the System would constantly give it energy unknowingly.
It was a solution to everything, and it was also amazingly thought off as if the System Master… was planning something.
However, the Origin Core decided to not question it and continued to acquire power like this, it believed that even if the System Master had bad intentions, it would accumulate so much power that it would be able to fight back against it if he tried anything funny…
But it was not the System Master that would come here, but a group of beings, perhaps even more terrifying.
It saw the Origin Core as another resource to grow stronger, something to be harvested, the Watchers.
The Origin Core, however, was unaware of this until the large maa crystal meteors hit its surface, and filled the world with more mana, warping space itself and summoning more gates...
Amidst these Gates, even more, dangerous beings began to emerge, which put in danger humanity, and earth.
Before, humans were able to somehow control the number of gates over the continents to an extent…
But now, a new Era of Chaos was about to begin.
And the Origin Core already learned about Noah, the anomaly that had unlinked itself from the System, alongside all those that served him…
Such anomalies were dangerous… but now there was no time to deal with them…
