Chapter 464 - The Power Of A Dungeon

-----

Noah desired to devour and conquer, this entire world was filled with rich energy everywhere, and there were tasty gods to devour anywhere as long as he looked hard enough. Although he had made a big fuss in the fight against these three last dragon gods, he had not seen any more dragon gods for some reason, as if they had completely disappeared. He was sure that they would show up if he made a fuss in public and actively fought against another dragon gods in front of mortals, but that seemed to not be the case.

Noah began to ponder what could had made these dragon gods not show up out of nowhere? It felt like they were escaping from him or something, but that couldn't be right, he wasn't even that strong yet! How come they already feared his existence to the point of running away from him? the worst thing was that he wanted to meet and eat them so badly… he had expected them to show up in large and grandiose armies to slay him for good, and that would bring him great gains, but it has already been almost a month since the conquest to these three Kingdoms, and nothing has happened.

Noah looked confused and even rather intrigued about what could dragons do in their societies, until he finally decided to look upon the memories of the three dragon gods. Noah was able to look into memories of any soul he devoured. Thanks to this, he would be able to learn important information regarding special things, resource points, the gods' history, and more.

He had to browse through it all and digest it well though, as it seemed like an arduous and complicated work to do. He had to quickly begin devouring these memories and assimilate this information as quickly as possible, however, after almost a month of having changed Classes, his army of Undead had expanded for several hundred of kilometers, crossing through all sorts of wilderness and giving him amazing quantities of essence after slaying trillions of mortal-realm draconic beasts, which finally let him reach max level!

The wilderness that his Undead Army had crossed was of all types, after passing through the various Dark Forests, he had also conquered the depths of massive ocean-like lakes he came across, and also many Labyrinths, which were natural dungeons of enormous sizes that formed in this continent, Labyrinths were more like conventional dungeons from video games rather than the strange Gates he meet inside his home world.

Simply put they were just another field he could use to hunt down beasts, he had filled them up to the brim with his Army of Undead and devoured anything inside of there, while learning a few things about these dungeons in the way, such as that they dropped special items when monsters were defeated, treasure chests emerged sometimes, monsters spawned out of thin air as long as mana flowed around, and that dungeons had dungeon cores, which controlled the dungeon from the inside and fueled it with energy and power while absorbing the mana that the monsters it created produced, alongside the mana that the things they slain produced as well. More advanced dungeon cores could even absorb mana from the environment in smaller quantities, although this was a powerful ability with a slow process.

Noah learned about such Dungeons and also learned he could create similar things through the System Function named [Small Dungeon Creation]. Although his own small dungeons were similar to labyrinths, they didn't contain the powerful and mysterious dungeon cores. Noah had meet around five dungeons through almost this week of travel, and he had decided to extract two of their dungeon cores, which ended in the entire dungeon falling apart, while the other three were left on their own as he conquered them by parasitizing the dungeon core using his parasitic divinity and his authority and power, becoming their dungeon master and suddenly unlocking the "dungeon system" board, which he thought was much of a hassle for him, so he left it for the Blood Progenitor and Gaia to manage.

This Dungeon System helped Noah see the Dungeons management, their stats, what monsters could be created, what items could be made, and the total dungeon points that every dungeon gathered to do their own upgrades and expand their territory. Dungeons were living beings of their own separate from dragons, and they were apparently born from the over accumulation of mana and miasma in a certain area, giving birth to them naturally. They thrived by creating these labyrinths to protect themselves and grow bigger and wider through the land. Their main goal was to Rank Up, as all Dungeons had their own Ranks which they had to meet to continuously grow stronger.

A goal of a dungeon would be to take over an entire world if possible, transforming it into  a  Dungeon World, but Noah had yet to see a dungeon who had accomplished this, but he had heard from their memories and the information they had in their computer-like cores about it. Dungeons seemed to be widespread across the entire Universe, somehow, so he will most likely find more in other worlds.

Taking over the three Dungeons, Noah let his System Admins to micro manage it for him, slowly expanding their territory and ultimately fusing all three of them. Meanwhile, Noah devoured the other two Dungeon Cores… right about now, just as his Class had reached max level.

The sudden burst of new power and energy he gained left him almost speechless, he had not thought that eating a dungeon would be that much, but two of them at the same time made his entire body explode with power…

BOOOM!!!

"Uwah! N-Noah?!"

"Papa?!"

"Papa…? What's wrong?"

His family was just enjoying some food at his side when he decided to have such a bizarre dish… he was now acquiring a completely new power as a dungeon, and he couldn't help but feel like smiling a little bit… this was indeed surprising!
