Chapter 137 - Troubles at the shop part 3

Demanding a large sum of money would require this polite man superior to come, irking the spectators to let their imagination free in guessing the reason. Leaving my stuff here to turn it into a credit will work far better.

Most of my current possession holds any value only for as long as I'm in this sect anyway. I can only guess it, but when joining higher sects, mortal grade materials won't be of any use or value. Instead of letting them rot in my storage ring then, it's far better to use them to establish a positive relationship with this shop, making it a backer of future Leila's aspirations to the seat of sect master!

"Of course, if that is Sir's wish, it would be rude of me to stand on ceremony!"

With his eyes lighting up, it was obvious how eager this manager was to seal the deal. Offering his hand over the table, I could guess that he was already calculating the bonus that he will receive from such lucrative transaction!

But with all said and done, I couldn't help but relax a bit. The entire situation could turn into the worst kind of embarrassment if the items that I gathered in the forest turned to be useless! All in all, I knew that I couldn't collect the blood from the beast that I defeat, but the items automatically showing up in my inventory actually improved the quality of the stuff that I was making. If not for this clue, I would just take the whole situation on myself and attempt to just bail out!

"Oh, before I leave, I was wondering if you have some rare ores in your possession. As an aspiring and rather experienced smith, I would love to try myself with higher quality materials, but I didn't manage to find them yet…"

Hanging my head with a slight disappointment painted on my face, I covertly looked at the manager. Do you want to rack some favours with me? Then prove that you are worthy of it!

"Forgive me for not guessing this before! Someone of Sir's magnitude would obviously never be satisfied with poor quality materials! If you want, I could go and exchange everything that Sir intended to buy for far better stuff!"

Noticing an opportunity to make even a bigger sale, this man couldn't be any happier! Instantly standing up, he leaned over the table with inviting smile plastered all over his face.

"While I don't mind buying some more of the materials, I have my uses for those basic ones as well. Since I'm helping my friend to make her first steps on the road of craftsman, there is no need to waste precious wares on her primary training!"

Just by saying those words I can feel angry Eve's stare on my side. Since I directly implied that she is the one I will teach if this man doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut, the rumour that newcomer to the sect will teach local veteran basics of the craftsmanship would be sure to spread!

"If that's the case, would Sir mind if I take the shopping bag with me as I would go to collect the wares of the same kind but better quality? I would be right back with everything!"

Seeing my approving nod, the merchant swiftly grabbed the bag with our shoppings and burst out of the room.

"Don't you dare to let anyone into trouble our guests!"

Shouting those words to the shop attendant that tried to humiliate and get rid of me before, he followed the corridor to a staircase located at its end. With his shout uttered while he ran, the only first part was loud enough for the onlookers to hear.

"Did you hear that? They want to contain them! It can only mean that I was right!"

Before the doors closed behind the manager's back, I still managed to hear Baxhar poisonous voice. It seems that no matter how much the fate wanted to prevent his face from being slapped, he couldn't help but take his life in his own hands and set up the stage for the face slap himself!

"How did you know that those items will be worth a lot?"

With how fast did the entire situation escalate, Eve took a passive stance, allowing me to resolve it with my own means. Recalling the time when she wasn't able to protect me from Baxhar attract might sour her mood, hence her desperate attempt to prevent the silence from settling in the room.

"The fun fact, I didn't really know. That was just my wild guess."

Sending her a mischevious smile, I fixed my position to a more comfortable one while staring at the wares orderly placed on the table.

"I might forget to tell you about this part, but I already tested out the capabilities of the loot that I collected. Even when I was making our current weapons, I used some of the ingredients from the low levelled demonic beasts. Considering how insane effect they could show with my crafting, this high levelled one could be turned into a powerful weapon even in the hands of a mediocre blacksmith. While I couldn't be sure that the people here would be able to recognise their worth, I banked on the fact that you recommended this shop in the first place!"

Before our discussion managed to progress further into this topic, I heard hurried footsteps outside before the man from before entered the room again and shut the doors tightly behind himself.

"Sir, those are the items that I believe Sir might find useful!"

Placing all three bags that this manager carried with him under the table, he started taking out items one by one, while explaining their qualities.

"This here is Hydrel Ore, known from its endurance. It's said that one can create up to two millions of inner layers in a single weapon!"

"Gordon Bone, when ground into dust and mixed with warm, purified water, it can create one of the best metallic solutions that will add a new shine to the jewellery!"

"And lastly, here is the dimensional pouch, with over one hundred gold coins stored in it! While all of those things are just a small part of the worth of the wares that Sir brought, I hope it is to Sir's liking!'
