Chapter 232 I Love You The Way You Are
Having no intentions of keeping it a secret from Zanna, Alister nodded his head and answered truthfully, "Yes. I already obtained permission from her to start a harem. Otherwise, I won't dare to have another wife since that would be cheating on her. But since she knows it and allowed me, then there won't be any problems with having you as my second wife."
"Don't get me wrong, I will treat you and her equally as long as you also love me."
Hearing Alister's words, Zanna breathed a sigh of relief.
However, out of curiosity, Zanna still asked, "I won't ask who you love more between Lynn and I. But if you can only save one of us, who will you save?"
It was only out of curiosity that Zanna asked this and even if Alister chose Lynn, Zanna wouldn't mind much. After all, she still knew that Alister had met Lynn first so she wouldn't find it unusual if Alister saved Lynn over her.
In response to Zanna's question, Alister didn't lie and was as straightforward as ever, "Depends on the situation. If I can only save one of you, I will save who is the most convenient to save. Since I love all of you equally, then I can only save the one who is the closest to me."
"But even if I can't save all of you, it doesn't mean I won't find any methods to resurrect you."
To further elaborate, Alister explained, "For example, if Lynn is currently in a life-and-death situation, I will leave you to save her. However, if I leave you to save Lynn and leaving you will endanger your life, then I can only stay here in this world to protect you."
"The same went if I am in Lynn's world and you are in danger. I can't save you and can only protect Lynn. But if there is a way to save both of you, as long as it doesn't endanger my life that much, I will do my best to save both of you."
In the face of such a moral question, Alister didn't want to act like a liar and a hypocrite so he answered Zanna's question truthfully.
"However, if I can't save all of you and saving you all will endanger my life such as an enemy using you to trap me, I won't fall into that trap. You might call me selfish and scummy, but I will save myself first before others."
"After all, if I can't even save myself, how can I save my wives?"
When Zanna heard Alister's words, she already expected that response from him. After all, she already spent a hundred years with Alister and since Alister was truthful to her and didn't show any pretenses, it wasn't unusual for Zanna to already discover what kind of person Alister was.
If Alister chose to lie to Zanna and didn't tell her about Lynn, Zanna knew that it would be impossible for her to know that Alister already had a wife.
Furthermore, Zanna was already aware of Alister's selfish side. She knew that he was someone who would save himself before others.
Alister never hid that from Zanna so she had already known about Alister's personality.
But when a girl was in love, they would often forget about the disadvantages of the man they loved and focus more on his advantages.
At least, Zanna knew that she was never treated badly by Alister. He pampered her and never forced her to do things that she didn't want to do.
She always felt like she was the center of the world when she was loved by Alister and Alister was none other than her world.
Having such a handsome, talented, and powerful man treat her like a princess, Zanna who hasn't fallen in love yet had fallen madly and deeply in love with Alister. It was to the point that she could care less about his shortcomings.
At least, Zanna was assured that Alister had never lied to her. When she would ask something to Alister, she would either receive an honest response from him or he would say that it was a secret that he couldn't tell.
So even with Alister's selfish remark, Zanna's love for him has never declined.
Alister didn't make any false promises to her and was as truthful as always. He didn't even backstab Lynn just to coax her and instead, explained that he would only save the one who was the most convenient to save.
In fact, Zanna felt that Alister was very realistic.
Alister wasn't deluded enough to think that he could save the two of them in times of danger. Instead of being idealistic, Alister was very realistic.
Noticing that Zanna was still eagerly listening to his explanation, Alister continued, "If any of my wives die, it only means that I am too weak that I can't prevent your death."

"This is why I will save myself first before you and Lynn. As long as I am alive, I will make sure to revive you and Lynn. "I don't want to lie to you and I already told Lynn about this. In a relationship, trust and love are paramount for a healthy relationship."

When Zanna heard those words from Alister, action spoke louder than words so she didn't hesitate to kiss and hug him.
After retracting her lips and a string of saliva formed which connected the tip of their tongues, Zanna licked his saliva and smiled, "You dummy, I won't break up with you. I love you the way you are."
