CH 21

Yuv Wen, who had been flying for several days, finally stopped, landing on a short Fusang Tree.

From the moment he flew away from the Fusang Tree, Yuv Wen felt that everything around him was so beautiful. Although the nine small Golden Crows together felt that the Fusang Tree was big enough for them to play, and indeed, it was enough for them to play around, Yuv Wen still felt that the outside world was a little bigger.

Yuv Wen had always wanted to see what kind of scenery he could see in this vast Sun and what kind of difference it had from the memories of his ancestors.

Yuv Wen wanted to look at the earth below and see if it had no end.

He also wanted to see the stars in the sky. Those were the projections of the Demiplane in the Shanhai World, which formed the stars in the night sky.

Yuv Wen really wanted to know how many different kinds of different sceneries could be found in these stars and whether or not the scenery in his memory that had exceeded his imagination really existed.

After so many years, how many strange sceneries were left?

Just thinking about it made Yuv Wen feel uncontrollably excited, and he wanted to go take a look.

Although Yuv Wen had inherited his ancestor’s memories and some images of these things, they were still not enough to satisfy his curiosity.

That was why Yuv Wen had tried escaping time and time again, even though he knew that Lu Jun and the Great Golden Crow were keeping him for his own good.

Yuv Wen could understand all of these; it would not be an exaggeration to say that he was a genius.

However, when he thought about how there were so many sceneries in this world waiting for him to see, and about the Creation Wood that could lead to the Nine Heavens in his memory, a country of fertile lands that he could wish for, a giant turtle that could carry the Demiplane on its back and travel in the sea of stars… …

And knowing very well it would take another 988 years for him to become an adult and leave the Sun and go to Shanhai world, he couldn’t help but want to leave early to take a look at this magical world.

There was not only the Golden Crow Clan in the Sun, but there were also many other creatures living there as well. Otherwise, where would the Golden Crow’s food come from? One must know that Golden Crows were not vegetarians.

There was no life that was harmful to Yuv Wen’s health in the Fusang Tree forest. Not long after he started to hunt, Yuv Wen easily caught an obese cat-like creature.

This cat-like creature was at the top of the food chain in the Fusang Tree forest. When Yuv Wen found it, it was resting on the highest Fusang Tree in the surrounding. When he saw Yuv Wen approaching, it ignored him. Instead, it stretched out a front paw and tried to chase Yuv Wen away, but it was roasted by a ball of flame that came out of Yuv Wen’s mouth.

Yuv Wen did not care about the burning Fusang Tree before him. Rather, he landed on one of the branches and started to enjoy the dead cat that was obviously bigger than he was.

The most common trees that grew on Sun were the Fusang trees, and the remaining few were mostly fire-attributed spirit trees. Therefore, Yuv Wen was not worried at all that his flame would burn the entire forest of Fusang trees to ashes.

Yuv Wen knew his own limitations. If he kept setting fire to this place, he wouldn’t be able to burn this entire Fusang Tree Forest to ashes. However, he estimated that he would attract and be caught by the adult Golden Crow before he could even burn half of it.

At most, his mouth would burn down a few of the surrounding Fusang Trees, but they would mostly absorb the flames.

After eating half of the big cat, Yuv Wen kicked the remaining half under the tree with his paws. It was as though the other predators in the Fusang Tree forest would help Yuv Wen get rid of the remnant.

Yuv Wen didn’t care about the Fusang Tree still burning under his paws. He found a gaping tree hole a little further away and prepared to rest before continuing his journey. He deliberately stayed further away because he did not want to be disturbed by the predators that would come over to hunt later.

Yuv Wen rested in the hole he had just found without worrying about his own safety. He didn’t think that a small Golden Crow, which was 988 years away from adulthood, would encounter any danger in an unfamiliar Fusang Tree forest.

That was because Yuv Wen knew that he was very safe now. He would be safe no matter where he flew under the sunlight. The Great Golden Crow cleaned up the entire Sun many years ago. All these years, the Great Golden Crow had been cleaning the entire Sun to its heart’s content.

All creatures that could cause harm to underaged Golden Crows were immediately cleaned up. Even the stronger ones that could communicate with each other were told not to harm the small Golden Crows.

The remaining ones who could not communicate with each other were either cleaned up or chased away. That was why the creature on top of the food chain in this huge forest had been roasted by Yuv Wen with just a mouthful of flames.

Therefore, Yuv Wen’s seemingly dangerous escape plan was actually very safe. Furthermore, he was very clear about it. At most, he could escape from the Sun for a while and experience the glory outside of it. It was impossible for him to permanently leave the Sun. The passageways that led to the exit were all tightly guarded by those Great Golden Crows.

If Yuv Wen went there, he would be walking into a trap.

Furthermore, he knew it was only a matter of time before he was captured. As long as Lu Jun was serious, in a few days’ time, he would be brought back by another Golden Crow. Therefore, this period between now and then was the time for him to complete the first stage of his dream.

He had to go and take a look at the biggest Devine Fusang Tree on Sun first. If he still had time, he would continue to see the scenery from the Sun. If he was captured earlier than he envisaged, he would plead for mercy and see if he could get to see the Devine Tree Fusang.

As long as the Golden Crow that caught it was not as unapproachable as the previous one, Yuv Wen was confident that he could charm the other with his adorable appearance and get them to send him where he wanted to go.

Furthermore, even if he was caught, there was still a plan for the next time. He would not give up.

Yuv Wen hatched his plan while sleeping.

The half-eaten cat that was taken down and buried by Yuv Wen now had a smaller beast lying on the other half of its body. The beast was gorging on food, and there were some weaker beasts hiding nearby. They were waiting for the creature that was eating to leave.

He had gotten some leftovers from the other party.

However, all of this did not concern Yuv Wen. He purposely kept a distance from all that was happening in order for his rest not to be disturbed at all.

There was only one thing that Yuv Wen did not expect: the fake Golden Crow that he had used to buy his escape was discovered by Lu Jun when she got back.

She found out that there were only nine small Golden Crows that came to welcome her. Previously, whenever she came back, she would ask all kinds of questions to see if anything had changed since she left. The most mischievous small Golden Crow had never come out.

The big Golden Crow that had been asked to take charge of the class was only twelve years old, and he was quite embarrassed that he had been outsmarted by a small Golden Crow. He made a promise in front of Lu Jun that he would definitely bring Yuv Wen back very soon.

The big Golden Crow flew out of the huge Fusang Tree in a flustered and exasperated manner. It seemed that if Yuv Wen was caught by this big Golden Crow, he wouldn’t be safely sent back to the huge Fusang Tree as he had imagined.

After waking up from his sleep, Yuv Wen started flying towards his goal – the Devine Fusang Tree. Although he didn’t know the way, he had inherited the memories of his ancestors.

First, he could determine where he had flown at full speed for the past few days based on his memories. Then, he could use the memories of his ancestors to find the way to his destination.

In the next few days, Yuv Wen didn’t fly at full speed as he did before. Instead, he flew in the direction of the wind. This would help him conserve a lot of energy.

After flying for a while, Yuv Wen caught a wild beast and spat out a mouthful of fire at it. He would continue flying after he was full, and when he was tired, he would find a tree hole to rest. After he woke up, he would continue flying. That was all he did.

However, it wasn’t that he didn’t gain anything. These few days, Yuv Wen had seen many scenes that only existed in his ancestors’ memories. He had also seen many scenes that his ancestors hadn’t inherited.

He saw the mountain peak floating in the air, the volcano that was emitting thick smoke from the Panda, and a huge lake that was formed entirely from magma. He even had a good time playing in it.

A few more days after leaving the lava, Yuv Wen finally saw the shadow of a small Fusang Tree in front of him.

As Yuv Wen flew closer, the shadow of the Fusang Tree became bigger and bigger. He flew for a few more days, and the Wood of Fusang’s figure had become so big that he could no longer see the top. This was Yuv Wen’s goal – the Devine Fusang Tree.

Yuv Wen estimated that he would be able to get to the front of the Devine Fusang Tree in one or two days.

Hungry, he landed on the ground. Once again, he caught a wild beast with ease. Today, his luck wasn’t good. The prey he caught wasn’t as big as the previous two, but he didn’t mind.

Now, Yuv Wen’s attention was focused on the Devine Fusang Tree in front of him. He did not have the mood to care about something so trivial. He promptly spat out a ball of flame, roasted the prey, and began to eat heartily.

Yuv Wen, who was eating his roasted prey, suddenly felt a pain in his heart. It was as if all the strength in his body had flown away in an instant, and a grey figure flew into the distance.

Yuv Wen’s feet went numb, and he fell from the Fusang Tree to the ground.

Yuv Wen seemed to see a huge and beautiful Golden Crow flying over from afar. He recognized that it was Lu Jun’s real appearance. Even the bad Golden Crow that stepped on his tail feather was not as big as the elegant Golden Crow in front of him. He had only seen the chest of this Golden Crow before.

“Grandma Lu Jun, I’ve already gotten here. Take me to the Devine Fusang Tree so I can have a look…”

Before he could finish his words, Yuv Wen had completely lost all his strength. That pair of fiery red eyes still reflected the Devine Tree Fusang that led to the sky before him.

When he looked around, there was no other Golden Crow except his grandma, Lu Jun.
